If you want to have a food poison then eat from this place.i bought some vegetables pastries, they said its freshly made but when i check them at home they were mouldy, when I complained they said one of them is mouldy rest of them r good to eat .no apology nothing.

The staff is very rude don’t know how to speak to the customer specially the guy Usman warraich in the shop abused to the customer and misbehaved

The Jalibi and other sweets that I purchased this evening were extremely unpleasant in taste, as if they were cooked in expired oil or had been stored in the shop for a long time. I am a big fan of sweets and jalibis, and I regularly buy them from renowned Asian sweet shops like Ambala and Nirala. However, I have never encountered such expired and distasteful sweets in Greater London before. This was truly disappointing, especially because I was treating my father-in-law who had come all the way from the US, and I had hoped that we would have a delightful experience.

I bought 2kgs sweets from this so called shop sweets was very dry and after one day it's coming bad smell. Low standard quality of food. Don't buy from this shop.

DO NOT GO HERE! I bought methai and found mice dropping. Called the shop as they had the number on the box they refused to talk about it. I have no other option but contacting food standards agency! 🤮

We are really big fan of Gourmet. All of our family memebers go there instead of other gourmet cross the road. We love its sweets and Bakery stuff. Unfortunately this time I have faced a man who claim himself is a Manager of this brunch is very rude and unprofessional. Whatever I asked him responded very negatively. I wish the owner will consider to train him for manners and ensure him to respect customers.

Great sweets and friendly service

I have tried Ambala and a few others around Ilford. But this place treats people very well and friendly staff. The man helped me to tell me what each item was. The variety is amazing and taste is fresh. Im coming back next week.

After the Leyton branch has been shut for over a year, took the plunge with the Ilford Branch, everything was fresh and tasty. Usually buy Mitai from Ambala but Gourmet have a wider selection which reminds me of my childhood days. Only one cashier working, needed more staff as the que was outside the shop. Jalebis were nice

Pathetic service. Rude staff and management. Bad quality of food and service. They dont know how to serve customers. Food quality and taste is absent. We went there for the first time on a recommendation to have Pink Tea. As we sat the staff started showing attitude and was rude which obviously made us feel awkward as we were there as a family and kids during the festive holidays mode. When mentioned that we expect some respect then were told we shouldn't have come inside they didn't want any customer sitting I side. If they would have said it nicely that they were closing then we would have happily taken take away and gone. But having sat there deserved to be served with respect. If there could be a negative rating then I'd give that as for sure not going there again and not recommend either if you're looking to be served with dignity and respect. In short left the tea after couple of sips and left with big disappointment For a business customer care should be core ar heart and if that's not on offer then I definitely would not recommend anyone walking in there

Would give 0 stars if I could. Brought a birthday cake and within 3 days of it being in the fridge the fruit has grown mould... fully not acceptable- DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Plus the service is much to be desired

Unhygienic place. My dad was ordering cake and a whole phone wire fell into the cake. The person serving dismissed it and continued wrapping saying 'It's just a wire'. Not acceptable behaviour. Do not buy from here.

Good Indian sweets, wide selection. Must try the fig sweet (anjeer barfi). Nice people working there, can request to try sweets before buying. They also have mishti doi.

Despicable! One person working behind the counter and he was too busy talking on the phone to be of any service - totally ignoring customers. We left as a result. Rude and unprofessional!

Went there to buy sweets that was a gift for one of my Indian friend only to find the salesman extremely rude wearing dirty cloth smell could be felt behind the counter so left without buying anything

First time i went there to buy Rus-Gullay turned out to be sour because these were outdated.I thought it is one time incident, after few weeks later Bought Ameratti, again it was bad.. For 2 month I didn't even bother going there but then I had to buy pathora/puri's as no one else was selling that, Bought 20 piece from the for Fifty pence each. Today I went to buy the same and the price is 90 Pence each. These people have absolutely no idea what they are doing, they don't have a price list they can increase the price anytime they want and anyway they want. Man behind the counter is extremely rude and don't even know how to talk nicely with paying customers. Frying place behind the counter I took a peak it looked dirty. EVEN ONE TAR IS TOO GENEROUS. Dont go there guys, its not worth.

Disgusting! Being generous with 1 star! The customer service was the worst received in my life I’d say. Think me and my friend were over charged on the breakfast deal we over heard another customer mumbling. The potato dish was off and stinky, the chickpea dish was not fresh. Infact nothing was fresh apart from the puris. Only thing that was edible really was the pickle and the halwa. The man who served us as grumpy and moody as one can be! I asked if they had washroom facilities and he striked me with a fierce NO! Like I shook a mountain or somthing. Overall I would never recommend this place to anyone it’s appauling!

Me and best friend went their to eat breakfast deal the man behind the counter was rude wasn't very welcoming and talking to us in a strope the tables were dirty floor was dirty we both over heard other customers speaking in their own language was over charging us when the food was off the only thing that was edible was tiny bit of pickle and halwa that we ate we were starving the Channa curry was off and so was the potato curry or bhaji was off never going there again

I don't think the cakes are eggless but they do have varieties of other sweet meats.

I work in Barking , it was our anniversary my wife wanted a cake so I found this shop on the way home . Lady at counter seemed helpful and i explained it was my anniversary and she said "I have this freshly made cake from today, take this one" i liked the way it looked so I bought it. my young children and wife are waiting home for cake, eventually we cut the cake but sadly when we tasted the cake it was dry and smelled off from within We were all so disappointed especially because I feel the lady at counter knew that particular cake would go in the bin so instead sold it to me out of greed for £15 . Im very upset because of this and my children went to bed in tears. I can't understand why a person will do this for £15 and especially when she knew it's for a special occasion. What a spiteful person. This shop does not deserve even 1 star.

Very friendly staff! Went in and the staff were having their lunch but they stopped eating to serve me. They put the customer before their hunger.
