Oriental Kitchen in Waltham Forest

When my food eventually arrived, it was lukewarm. Normally very good and delivered on time. Need to get “just eat “website in sync with restaurant and deliveries. Website stated been delivered on time. restaurant said it will be with me within five minutes after a 20 minutes delay and delivery driver thought everything was alright

always my go to place, don't know what happened today. had to phone as app suggested that food was already delivered and it wasn't. advised that it was still on its way. food not as hot as it usually is and the dishes we ordered had a huge amount of chunky onions in there. we stuck to our usual dishes and had never had it like this before, extra ginger strips in there too ! Maybe they were having a bad day . usually rate these guy's 5's but this time will have to be a 3. disappointed.

Anything that was on the spare ribs was fat, no meat at all, disgusting.

The food arrived 10 minutes later than the last time slot given and either because they package the food badly or it takes so long to deliver everything came through tasting soggy and stale. Crispy shredded beef was particularly boring and soggy - if it’s your favourite dish we wouldn’t recommend getting it from here.

The salt and pepper chicken was 10/10 the chicken chow mein was okay. But the sweet and sour chicken had no flavour at all as well as the egg fried rice it was really bland. Probably won’t order again sadly

Usually the food is good, looks like today my food was rushed, the 4 large crispy spring rolls were just dripping of oil and the pastry on some had split open.

My food was late and cold totally inedible it was blamed on traffic

A dish was faulty- a beef gra tiem with no beef in it. When i rang to complain they told me there was beef in it- obviously not! - then said they'd ring me back. They didn't call so when I rang again they said it was too late !! Rubbish service!!

The quality and quantity of the food was excellent! Arrived very hot and well prepared. My first time buying from them and I will certainly be back Was not too keen on the lamb ribs, too fatty, and not enough meat on them. Also thought it would be dry(in a good way) like similar ribs I've got elsewhere

Unfortunately none of our food had much taste the kids didn't like anything we ordered the soups were really watery the chicken in black bean sauce was very dry the special black bean sauce with also dry the only thing that was perfect was the prawn chips not sure but something was missing from the food just to give it a better taste

Some dishes did not match the description. Ribs in the starter selection were dry, not BBQ, and very fatty. The duck in plum sauce was in pineapple sauce instead, and duck was very fatty.

Food quality-fresh and hot food. Delivery time=2 hours. I think knowing that the food would be so delayed, they could have made a small gesture like throw in some prawn crackers or some spring rolls as it’s a long time to wait.

Hands down the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten in my 32 years of life!!the food is so tasteless under cooked and bland!! Please don’t waste your money and be disappointed go else where! Costly without having any tase.

The food was stone cold I found a pink bit of chicken customer service was very rude.

I'm sure the quality here used to be a lot better? The chicken dumplings were in a really thick, floury coating with no flavour. The Pad Thai was very dry, cheap chunks of chicken and again not much flavour.

I normally never write a review on here because everything is pretty standard to me, but for this shop being a new Chinese for me was 50/50 I didn't know what to expect, but I can tell you one thing they did not disappoint me on one item and I'm looking forward to trying more of their dishes, them lamb ribs, 10/10 service was 10/10 most appreciated..

I've never eaten her before but I'm so glad I did. The food was fab and arrived on time. Even the delivery guy was polite. Will eat from here again. Thank you :)

I ordered king prawn fried rice and BBQ chicken wings. The king prawn fried rice was nice and big enough for two. The wings were the best I've had in a long time.

Food had no taste was not seasoned and was a very poor quality. Fried rice was far from being Chinese and had only leftovers inside. Also was not mentioned what was served as part of the set menu. Really disappointed

I want a full refund, and money back in return, I’m eating my food and theirs is a pain in my tooth, there is a bolt in the food! I have a photo, I want compensation as well as a full refund that could have injured me, there is a small metal bolt in the food, someone needs to bring me and sort out payment or I’ll put it online, a small metal bolt in the food is ridiculous

Wait for food was roughly an hour (as they estimated which is fine!). When it arrived it was lovely and hot, I really enjoyed my meal! A lot of places don’t accept smaller ordered of 3/4 items but they did which is great!

This is not chinese. What a waste of money. Special fried rice was pure white with not even a dash of soysauce and had no vegetables inside other then onions. The ribs were absolutly dry i could not even bite or chew the meat. The special chow mein noodles also only had onions inside with no other vegetable. Sorry but im absoluty disgraced. I did not eat the food. 1 star is even too much.

This is one of the best Chinese food places in East London and it's halal

I ordered the Thai “fried” squid but instead I got a stew with squid, contacted the restaurant and the man said it’s like that. I even asked him what’s fried about this 🤔 he said that’s the name of the dish. He wasn’t rude he even apologised. Clearly it makes no sense to call a dish fried and it’s a stew based dish 🫤. But the dish wasn’t nice at all I threw it away, I also ordered a spicy duck fried rice it was spicy like I asked but Had no flavour at all. Won’t be ordering again.

The food was totally inedible .the meat rolls smelt awful as the meat inside had gone off and could not therefore be eaten.the other items where completely dried up and had obviously been reheated with bare bones where the meat had fallen off.the whole lot had to be thrown away.

Awful. Would give it 0 stars if I could. I ordered egg fried rice (4.90) , vegetable fried rice (5.90) & 2x spring rolls (7.90) Vegetable fried rice wasn’t even fried and there’s was only 1 slice of carrot and 1/4th green bell pepper. No other veggies. The egg fried rice had little to no egg. Absolutely ridiculous. I Waited for 45 minutes for this. Upon receiving this disappointing order when I called the restaurant the man on the phone said “oh you’ve clearly not ordered from us before, this is how we do it. This is how we prepare it) and he hung up on me. So rude. He couldn’t care less. Save your time & money. Do not order from here.

I've been ordering from here frequently but I suppose this might be the last. While the food is usually good the delivery driver this time around was horrendous. He claimed to have called me when he did not, but as soon as the restaurant called me they got a hold of me so clearly it was not on my end. When I went down to receive my food he was smoking and made me take the food out from his car trunk as his hands were busy with his smole. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour and will not be ordering from here again.

I'm not a Chinese food fan but the food here is amazing. It's also HMC Halal. My only issue is that they are sometimes closed when I want to order but I never know why.

Sorry just not very nice food. Really bland and watery. Very overpriced for the portion size and the quality. Not what you would expect when ordering Chinese food.

All the dishes were very fresh and flavoursome, apart from the butterfly king prawns which were borderline burnt! It was a large order so one dish lacking wouldn’t put me off as everything else was lovely

Disappointed is a understatement been ordering from this place since I was a teen… tonight it was awful .. it tasted as if there was dish soap in every dish .. a very unpleasant taste and extremely disappointed

Food delivered to wrong address but driver was adamant he delivered to us even after I showed him our video doorbell not showing any evidence of delivering to our house. Restaurant refused to send replacement order or help in any way and told me to call just eat.

Really disappointed in the mussels in black bean sauce! It's incredibly salty and has whole mussels with shells in it, which doesn't amount to much mussel in a takeaway container. The dish is also overflowing with very salty sauce. Not appetizing at all.
