Best vegan in East London Best service we had by the Mediterranean guy. Cold abit in the terrace tho .we noticed the lift seems not working again. we had a buggy to carry up and down. And this is our rd visit.

Green Grill seem to be seeking to emulateJust Stop Oil. Just Stop Oil said art has no purpose because art cannot be enjoyed if the world ends.Green Grill’s approach to flavour is the same as Just Stop Oil’s approach to aesthetics. Must be a vegan thing. The least they could have done with the chicken bites is made them taste like chicken.

honestly the best vegan fried chicken i’ve ever tasted. hidden gem!

There is a big menu on the wall, and various things are labelled "vegan". Not "vegetarian" and not "vegan option available". I was 2 foot from the server and mentioned that the meat option bibimbap would have the egg and the vegan option would not have egg, because it said vegan. I then ordered the mushroom bibimbap. The wait was a fair while, maybe 15 minutes. When the pager beeped, I went him and the server handed me the bibimbap... with a whole fried egg on. I asked why there was egg, and he said it comes with egg. I pointed out that the menu says its vegan. He told me that that means it CAN be made vegan, and I should have specifically asked for it to be vegan. I should have specifically asked for a dish labelled as vegan to be made vegan? Rather than wait another 15 minutes or more, we ate our food. The spiciness was okay, but otherwise it was quite bland - even if it had have been what the menu said it was, I wouldn't bother going back.

Great food, friendly staff and good prices. It's now paired with a Chickenish, and they have a full vegan chicken menu including burgers, nuggets, wraps etc.

Absolutely love this place. So happy to have found a great vegan spot for when I fancy a treat. I've ordered from them quite a few times on deliveroo now and the food is always hot, fresh and incredibly tasty. I always go for the 'chick'n bites' but this time fancied something different so gave the beyond meat burger a try. First of all they actually paid attention to my order notes and excluded the red onion (I'm allergic so this was appreciated!) and as it turns out they were out of extra rashers so rather than just late cancelling my order like a lot of places would have done they threw a whole portion of chikn bites. While my waistline is probably not so happy about this, it was a nice touch as their bites are outstanding. All in all, a therefore overly filling but delicious meal. Will continue to order from these guys any time I'm feeling just a bit unhealthy.

Previous I have really enjoyed this take away. However not only did we have missing items from this place more than once, in fact over 4 times, that I am now rating this place 1 star. Deliveroo even re-ordered it for us when it arrived cold and missing bits. But the second order we received, we were given an empty, dirty used box. The food was still cold. And amazing still, missing items. So thanks for my portion of air. Your food is normally great but this is a shame. Sort it out. We won't be ordering again.

The food is good, but the last three times they've either forgot entire orders, or missed out half. The food is also cold a lot of the time, even though it's just around the corner. It's sad because they used to be really great.

We went back for the first time since lockdown began to find great disappointment in the service and food especially.We used to go at least once a month since it began, this time we ordered the Mighty Meaty of which only took less than 6 minutes to come out also the burger bum was plain not Charcoal as per menu ( no explanation for that) burger itself was not hot but Luke warm which could explain the quickest of the food.When i got home i sudden found myself in severe cramps due to the food (my only explanation) Overall no where as good as the past.

Always had excellent food whenever I’ve ordered from here! Today I ordered some cauliflower bites with chicken nuggets to be delivered, but I had tried to order chips as well, but weren’t on the receipt. I called the restaurant and the manager allowed me to get a portion of chips on the house!! I was incredibly surprised and pleased with the service, and their food was lovely as before.

Moody and uninviting woman working here, no smile or hello, felt like I was disturbing her. Food OK but portions small and expensive

I ordered take away for the first time from Green Grill and the burgers where tasteless. I have been a vegetarian for over 4 years and have had many veggie/vegan burgers, and these are probably one of the worst. It’s a shame because I am local and would have been handy to have a good burger place. The patty was like eating a cheap supermarket one, the vegan cheese tasted like plastic and the burger also arrived cold. There are a few pubs around Walthamstow that offer good veggie/vegan burgers for the same price.

The food is of a fair quality and certainly very tasty. Overall the price is high, but that’s to be expected here. It was also served in 15mins, which could have been bit quicker.

I’m not a vegetarian or a vegan but I’d happily choose this place over a meaty option any day. The menu is simple so you’re not bombarded with a thousand different alternatives, if I see one more ‘corn fed (not) chicken’, I’ll scream. I actually don’t mind the whole marketing behind vegan food, as long as the food is decent and here, it really is. I’ve had the chicken nuggets, the hot dog and he burger (not in one sitting) mind, and it’s all been excellent quality, delicious and I think, totally justified for the price. The kimchi options are great and the accompanying sauces and buns/rolls are really nice. Big recommend for vegan food that packs a real punch. And a special shout out to the super lovely lady at the crate branch, total gem.

Ive ordered here 3 times now and very quickly the consistency of quality and portion size of what i have ordered has taken a dive. beware if your ordering the chicken bites dont bother paying extra for the larger portion unless your ordering at least one of each size they seem to think its okay giving you two smaller portions if you only order the larger size with nothing to compare to. Also forget the idea of a black/charcoal bun, they dont privide this with theyre burgers and dont apologise. Aftee spending £110 in three orders for 2 people im very unhappy with this restaurant and wont be using them again In reply to the owner below, your statement about 2x normal portions equates to more than a large, unfortunately on two the most recent occasions i have paid for and ordered 2x large portions and both times have recieved 2x your regular portions and not 4x time to make up for the smaller packaging , what your saying is that your staff would have provided me with double portions of the regular, but that is in fact misinformation. You have received 1star because i would expect these kind of mistakes in somewhere with a lower price tag, your food tastes good, but ripping of customers will always be a no no.

Absolutely loved their Cajun chips! For £12 you can enjoy a main, chips and a drink. You can choose from a selection of burgers or hot dogs - everything is vegan! The classic seitan hot dog was great and is served in a beetroot bun. I definitely recommend the fizzy rhubarb soft drink. Will be back to try their burgers and have more of their crispy, golden and perfectly seasoned chips!

SOLID vegan junk food. Great burgers but agree with other comments chips are sometimes absolute salt bombs. Still worth it (bring water).

Visited The Green Grill prior to the lockdown in London. The service was really fast and the food tasted great. Good to see another local Vegan restaurant. We will definitely be returning!!

Severely disappointing. Visited with a friend to try the vegan food. The lady serving told us it would be a 10 minute wait. She was far from accommodating or even friendly. And then It was in fact a 30 minutes. She didn't even apologise. She also got our order wrong and again didn't bother to even try to apologise. Instead just made excuses that she's already given away some of our food to another order and that I'll need to wait another 30 minutes for what I asked for. After leaving, I found she also forgot the sauce for the nuggets, they really don't taste very good dry! I won't be returning while she is there. Such a shame as I had heard good things about the owners being very friendly.

The Green Grill is amazing! Everything is totally vegan and tastes so good. From the salad to the sauce, it's all seasoned to perfection. Will be back!

wowwwwwwwww the food here in incredible!!! I am really shocked that everything served is VEGAN!! The mighty meaty burger was delicious as well as the chicken pieces.... the chicken pieces really fooled me completely! Will 10000% order again, thank you!!

Great food in a great place. Even as a meat eater this place is fantastic to eat in, their chips are fantastic and the chikin with buffalo sauce cant be missed. I had the mighty meaty burger and it was great. nice it a try if your passing through, you wont regret it.

Pizza were great, nice in the summer. Not sure if it would work in the winter, nowhere to sit inside. Didn't try any other food, but the pub seems ok.

Firstly, I'd like to say it's amazing that Walthamstow has a venue like this and I wish them the best of success and sincerely hope they can develop their menu and brand further! Four stars for the incredible vegan ch'kn and wonderful sauces, think the portion sizes need to be a little larger and perhaps the service a little slicker to push for five stars (was a 15 minute wait for the nuggets and the server forgot the chips) but the quality of the food mostly made up for it!

The best burger I've ever had! And it's vegan 😍😋 I had Red Devil! It was perfect spice level and the pepper was cherry on the top 😉👌so great mix! Bloody Hell that was great! It was so good that I cannot show you pictures, I couldn't stop eating it 😂 If you have chance to eat in The Green Grill go, eat and enjoy.

My first ever expereine trying vegan food was The Green Grills Mac and Cheese, last year at vegan Nights. I was amazed! I've been a huge fan of The Green Grill ever since, Ive tried almost everything on the menu from Hot dogs, burgers to their no chicken bites and I couldnt pick a favourite. The presentation is always 10/10. The whole team are always so upbeat, friendly and bubbly. Incredible Team!

Unreal chick'n Bites, and hot dawg! Game changing vegan food. The coloured buns are so funky, I went to their crate in Walthamstow and find them at different vegan events country-wide, great all round experience!

Not pleased with the service. The guy at the till, which I must say was polite at the beginning, therefore 2 stars, was chatting with the lady about how important to be vegan nowadays and completely ignored me standing there for 5 min.
