El plato más caro de comida de mala calidad que he probado. Ahora no soy chef, ni diría que soy un conocedor o cocina asiática, pero sí sé cuando mi pollo ha sido congelado y que cada carne en el plato sabe igual. Yo evitaría este lugar a toda costa y si vas, entonces espera una factura grande por no mucho. 1 x sidra (Strongbow es la lata) 1 x tostadas de gambas 1 x Sal y pollo con chile 1 x Chow Mein especial £ 40 🤣🤣🤢

Comida encantadora, tubería caliente y un montón de ella. Iré al Lucky Bowl de nuevo la próxima vez que esté en Inverness esperando el tren durmiente.

Absolutamente asquerosa comida para llevar Esperó más de una hora para que llegara la comida. Cálido en el mejor de los casos El arrancador mixto estaba más seco que un flip. flop. . Platos principales simplemente soso. La carne crujiente era dura como Podría continuar pero mi estómago retumba y puede necesitar un viaje rápido al baño. Nunca más 😒

Este es el único restaurante chino en Inverness. Cenamos esta noche, la selección de comida estaba calentada, pero muy buena calidad y porciones generosas. Have order lunch and occasionally dinner for takeout. Ordered take out tonnight. Was very disappointed. I ordered sweet and sour pork with fried rice. A lot of pork with much batter, no vegetables, no egg roll or won tons. No soy sauce for the fried rice. The previous owners were great and they have been ok. I will not be going back. I'll find oriental food when I am out of town.

I ordered a delivery at delivery of chicken fried rice, prawn crackers, curry sauce and a Pepsi max can. I was told it would take to an hour it would most likely be around 30-45 minutes. After 1 hour 5 minutes I called back to check on the deliveries progress. The lady told me it was on its way it was just leaving the lucky bowl but for some reason they would do multiple deliveries with my food also the lady assured it would still be warm. After 1.30 hour my foood finally arrived without my Pepsi max but I was being optimistic that the food would be good because I was starving but my chicken fried rice and curry sauce were cold, had no veggies, chicken was over cooked the entire thing was salty and was disgusting, I called them back the lady who answered was so rude I told her it was unacceptable to have me wait for thirty minutes for cold food and no drink. She had told me it was normal to wait an hour and thrifty minutes she didn’t appologise offer a replacement or a refund. She told me I should have collected it from the shop myself but I paid for a delivery and meal that were not satisfactory she kept arguing and telling me they didn’t have Pepsi max which she should have told me at the ordering I would have asked for another drink. I will definitely be avoiding this place!

Waited two hours for a takeaway that was totally inedible. After waiting that amount of time we would have eaten anything but the whole lot was scraped into the bin. Phoned the restaurant to complain and was met with the most shocking and rude customer service, was told to pick everything out the bin and bring it back and that I should have used a microwave to reheat it. Needless to say we won’t be back and hope that no one is unlucky enough to be spoken to the way I was by a member of staff at this restaurant.

For a starter, we ordered 6 vegetable spring rolls. They were each literally the size of a thin woman's pinky finger in length and width! I've never seen egg rolls or spring rolls so tiny! The beef fried rice was very tasty, but did not have any vegetables in the rice and the amount of beef was inadequate. The sweet & sour chicken was served without rice -- just the chicken and the sauce -- because this Chinese restaurant charges about £4 extra for rice! I've never known a Chinese restaurant to skimp on rice like that. So, while the food was delicious, the meal was not worth the price. I guess this explains why the restaurant was empty on a weekend evening. Years ago, this restaurant offered an all-you-can-eat buffet that was well worth the price. The current owners should consider re-instating the buffet and offering free rice with meals.

The place was empty. That should have been our first red flag. The second was the immediacy of delivery of two different main dishes - less than five minutes. The taste was unimpressive, origin of the meat hard to describe and floating in oil. Small portions. Staff ok.

Absolutely best Chinese ever!! My cousin came down from Edinburgh and we had dinner here and the food was absolutely amazing, service was good, we got prawn crackers and everything👌👌best Chinese here

I love Chicken Salt & Chilli (dry), Veg Spring Roll and Dumplings. Great food, clean restaurant but it 's way too dark. Seems to short staffed but the service still lovely.

I recently ordered Takeaway food from here and have used this restaurant before and found it to be pretty good but I was so disappointed this time, the spare ribs were dry and chewy with a blob of horrible black sauce on the top which also seemed to appear on top of two of the other dishes. All of the dishes were greasy even the Special Fried Rice and the Chow Mein was disgusting. I have ripped up the Takeaway Menu and will not be using it again.

My favourite food is Chinese, this could have been my favourite Chinese dinner ever, so lovely, big portions and very tasty 😃

Worst meal we’ve had in a very long time. Microwaved food, dumplings came still frozen in middle. Gloopy, salty sauces. Wondered why there was nobody in there except us and one other couple on a Saturday night…now we know.

Wonderful takeaway delivery from Lucky Bowl whilst staying in Inverness. Fast and friendly delivery and service throughout, the food was delivered hot and was delicious. Highly recommended.

Worst placed we have visited in a long time. Bad food (directly bought from the next Aldi’s freezer as it looks), expensive and unimpressive service. Stay away from that place.

We had o takeawy set menu dishes for the family in the past and it was reasonable, this time though was different as what we received was very poor, portions were smaller and the taste was not up to standard for a chinese kitchen. Again a demand for cash only which in this day and age of card transactions is highly unusual, is it because paying by card would show their income? anyway it is a real hassle having to go and find an ATM on a rainy night.

Arrived with a disabled relative that struggles to negotiate the stairs. The one member of staff visible eventually acknowledged my existence. Apparently they were too busy to provide a table for 2 but we could have take away. I think that 3 tables had customers, max ten people. Staff member grunted that they were short staffed. This review would not have happened if they had simply put a sign on the door to advise people that they couldn’t be bothered serving them. I hope that for the sake of the diner’s that the food was better than the attitude.

Good sized portions with rich delicious sauces and very reasonably priced. Ordered online and picked up our meal 20 minutes later. Great wee takeaway restaurant.

Had a takeaway. It was terrible. The chips were obviously reheats and cold. Totally inedible. Beef dish was burnt but chicken dish was ok. Phoned to complain but staff didn’t apologise or offer any compensation. We will never use this place again. Avoid

Had two meals tonight,ordered via Uber Eats,Delivery was prompt,but above all the food was delicious, We had a special Curry and a Chicken Chop Suey,both with egg fried rice.Highly recommended.

If this is the best Chinese in Inverness then I'm glad I didn't try any others. We ordered starters and mains, eating in and was not impressed by any part of it, they advertise outside a buffet but that is not available, Next time in...

From the oldside you would be tempted to avoid this restaurant, DON'T the food is lovley. The curry has masses of flavor. The rice is yummy. This was one of the best currys I've had in a long time. Yummy dummy double scrummy.

Had a home delivery, partly incorrect order, cold, other food (chicken balls) were soggy and very questionable meat, certainly not chicken breast or leg. Restaurant didn’t mark order as completed so difficult to process complaint through Judt Eat. Will never use this restaurant again. Horrible...

This was a first time visit on an overnight stay in inverness. We hadn't booked but got a table ok. We were seated and presented with menus right away. The menu has an extensive choice and caters for all tastes. I ordered hot and sour soup which came out hot and with the contrast of the hot and sour flavour. Then I had sweet and sour pork cantonese style with singapore rice noodles. The noodles were not the texture I am used to but they had a nice spicy flavour. The wife had sweet and sour chicken with fried rice.We washed everything down with fanta orange. For all the food was ok the wife had to go to the toilet and commented they were not very fresh. Also the table behind us were very loud and were complainig to the staff about their food which was very off putting. We would go back to try it again.

Surprised to see a few Chinese businessmen eating in here, then noticed on the menu that they do a few authentic Chinese dishes as well as the usual stuff modified for UK tastes. Food was great, and portion size good, service fine, prices reasonable.

Ordered Kung Po chicken with no peppers - over hour and a half for local delivery. Was literally just chicken, cashews and very little sauce whereas most places include carrot, mushrooms, spring onions etc. £10.25 for one dish delivery and most in bin.

Visited when we were in Inverness. Food was good and served promptly. Place not busy. Put off by unsavoury characters sitting on the steps outside the establishment. This needs to be looked at because they were intimidating either on drink or drugs.

Our food was good and the service was prompt. It did however take quite a while to get our bill. Portions were very generous and the prices were reasonable.

I was mulling over my options whilst returning to Inverness for a night and instead of going with one of the many tried and tested, I somehow found myself in Lucky Bowl. I guess the fact that I was alone in the restaurant might have given me a clue but however the waiter was very attentive, brought me my drink very quickly and took my order. I then waited and waited and waited until eventually what I can only describe as a mess of a mild watery stew was presented to me. Tasteless and totally not what I would class as Chinese. If I’d have gone home and chucked a few veg and meat in a pan with a stock cube it would have been better. I politely paid and left but will never be back. I don’t tend to write bad reviews but this was the worst dining experience I have ever had.

We called in here for lunch on Saturday and were surprised that there were only two other people in. The stairs up past the B&B; were quite attractive but the entrance to the restaurant itself was strange, passing kitchens and staff quarters. It is quite attractive once seated but the waiter was merely efficient and not very welcoming. The food was okay overall, but nothing was especially enjoyable and the lemon chicken tasted as if had been re-heated.

Llevamos a nuestros 3 niños (11 y menores) y tuvimos algunos platos maravillosos. La lubina era fabulosa, calamares, langostinos y tofu todo delicioso. El personal era amable y todos tuvimos una gran comida. Las porciones son enormes. No estábamos seguros de qué esperar, pero volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Inverness. Cuando llegamos estaba tranquilo y había clientes chinos, ¡eso suele ser una buena señal!

Arrived about 6 pm no one else in restaurant first impression was prices were quite high but managed to get the special offer meal crispy duck starter egg fried rice and beef green peppers and a black bean sauce the duck was as good as anywhere else not the best but good enough , the egg fried rice was all stuck together and probably the worst I’ve had any where and the beef was quite chewy / cheap quality beef the stuff you get from the takeaway maybe they use different beef for the cheaper menu but if I’d paid nearly £10 for that alone I’d of been disappointed, ate half of it and left wouldn’t return probably should of just got a takeaway or found a decent Indian

We arrived at 6, 1st in restaurant....no welcome smile or attentive feeling given throughout the service. In fairness the rib starter was ok but both main courses were very bland. It was dissapointing as nice restaurant but can see why some reviews equal ours.

We had a couple of hours to kill before going to the cinema, not really enough time to go home and come back. We had to eat, so chose to revisit the Lucky Bowl - hadn't been in the restaurant for a couple of years, but enjoyed a great carry-out when my son visited and were minded to come back. The place is large and beautifully decorated, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent

It is all red and gold paint, hanging lanterns and Chinese scenes on the walls. Plates and forks on the table although chopsticks are available if asked for. A table by the window is a good place to watch the activity in Union Street below.

We had a wonderful meal here in the Lucky Bowl.

Choose the special soup soft drink and mains for 12pds great value hubby enjoyed his however my mains chicken and cashew nuts I wasn't Ovearly keen on the sauce friendly staff

Wow a reasonably priced authentic Chinese restaurant. Clean with terrific service. Right in the city with pubs and live music just down the road. This place delivered.

The restaurant looks nice and inviting, staff were friendly, there was only 2 other customers in the restaurant, big disappointment when the food arrived, no taste all, order lemon chicken, no lemon taste at all the vegetable fried rice was tasteless and Mongolian lamb was full of fat and didn’t even taste like Mongolian lamb. Overall very disappointing.

Food was fairly good, not too over salted, not too greasy, came within a short time, and good portion sizes. Service was fair, and patient despite the length of time we took to order our meal! Huge selection of dishes, good variety of vegetarian options. The decor was nice on the whole but I do think having the cleaning equipment and chest freezers out in view in the restaurant could be done without, though i understand there might be a storage/space issue there. Bathrooms are in need of an update.

bit disappointed on our return visit here from our last time food was good and staff were friendly enough toilets could do with an upgrade can appreciate there maybe wasn't enough room in the kitchen for your chest freezers but perhaps maybe not in your dining room all prices on menu state that rice is not included but no mention of how much it costs to add and if dining in ask if they have their alochol license as when asked for a glass of wine were informed that they had lost their license you can bring your own though

This restaurant offers a wide variety of Chinese food. The staff is well behaved. The place is well located in the middle of city centre. Very quick service. Food is decent in taste.

We tried chef's choice and didn't disappoint. When we went there the restaurant was empty and did not serve drinks.

Visited this Chinese restaurant for dinner. Food served quickly and good quality. Inside of the Restaurant not particularly inspiring but friendly waitress. Prices on the high side but nevertheless reasonable value for money.

My opinion is best Chinese in all highlands. Ordered many times and always great, tasting. Would recommend for everyone

Food was fantastic. Not necessarily the nicest inside. Prices were not bad, perhaps a little high but the value for money was good - big portions. Service was a little slow, but this didn't bother us as we were in no rush.

Ordered when at a neighbours and I was very impressed on the quality-taste and being hot when delivered on time. Ordered again and consistent on all above. Get prawn crackers included on price and rice included with main meals so was very cheap compared to our usual place. King prawns taste like what we buy from the local fishmongers big and juicy and lots of. Vegetables crunchy and fresh. I sometimes feel sick after a takeaway as flavoured with something with E numbers- but I feel fine after eating like its homemade! I love the Malaysian satay with coconut milk!!!

Visited this central restaurant (which is located below street level) on a Saturday night. The menu was mostly Thai dishes which I really like. We had the starter platter and it was as you would expect and reasonable value. I was less impressed with the main courses which were only average. Good service average food. Mid priced (not expensive but not cheap).

Dinner for two, food ordered was good quality and served hot and very tasty, staff very pleasant.

There are so many Chinese restaurants in the UK which serve the same food in the same way, and it's difficult to distinguish between them. The Lucky Bowl isn't particularly different, although it does distinguish between genuine Chinese and European Chinese dishes. However, once you've found it (up the hotel steps and turn sharp left) you're in for surprising nice food, prompt service, plentiful servings and reasonable prices. I would eat there again.

Hij zit niet op e.en toplocatie. Dat is jammer, want volgens mij vindt niet iedereen deze chinees. Het eten was er verrukkelijk. Vele malen beter dan menig Nederlands chinees restaurant. Ik was zeer positief verrast. Probeer zeker de eend hier!

Can be hard to find, up the stairs takes you to the hotel however top of stairs turn right and you will find this wee gem.Read quite a few reviews from fantastic to terrible and I can only go on my opinion, which I always try to be fair. Let's start with venue, very 1980s looking, dated and not to busy, was a Wednesday evening. That said when you see the separate Chinese groups coming in for food, I'd say this was a good sign. Had chicken satay to start and got 4 skewers, sauce was awesome. Taking Tao bottle lager £2.90 a bottle. Main went for Chinese chicken Kung pao which was delicious. Service was okay, not engaging not rude just efficient. By reading the reviews think it's Breyer to eat in than takeaway. But honestly can't fault the quality of food. It could be so much more if owner was more engaging, had a website/fb page and read reviews. It's honest, tasty and no frills.

Great food and excellent service.....piping hot, very tasty food and quick!Loved the steamed traditional dumplings and the deep fried bean curd with salt and chilli. Friend had salt and chilli spare ribs the Roast Pork Cantonese Style. Says both were delicious! Large helpings which we were unable to finish...but here's always smackeroonies later in the day! Although I see some poor reviews on here, I have always found the food great and staff polite.

We didn't eat in but ordered a take away for delivery. The food arrived twenty minutes after the stated delivery time. When we opened the food we found one main dish to be missing. Phoned up the restaurant and explained what happened to which we were told the correct food would be sent out, we got no apology and got the main 25 minutes later. At this time my partner had finished his meal and my rice and chips had gone cold. The food wasn't very tasty either. Won't order from there again.

I booked this for my birthday whilst on holiday with friends even though it had some poor reviews on here. It was very quiet, even though the town was busy. Probably, as others have said, because it was upstairs and not very obvious from the street.We decided to go with the fixed price, eat as much as you like menu. From starters, through crispy duck in pancakes and the main courses it was superb. I have eaten in many Chinese restaurants, especially in East London, and I have not had food better.It was all served to our table, with the usual Chinese skill and attention.Everyone in the party left having plenty to eat and commenting on how delicious it all was.Don't get to Scotland as much as I would like for holidays, but when passing again through Inverness this will be our stop for evening meal.

Despite place being fairly empty we were shown to a table by a dis-interested waiter who then walked off without a word. Food was really poor and my Kung Po chicken was inedible due to chicken being brick hard. The noodles (a firm favourite of mine) were dripping with grease. Usually, I would have complained, however, we waited so long on food we couldn't bear to wait another hour for another inedible dish. Waiter was the rudest staff I have ever encountered. Will not be back.

The first time we tried here was to get a take away but we're told we'd have a long wait so decided against it. The second time we decided we would try sitting in and had success getting a table even though there was a bus party already within. We were told there would be a slight wait then handed a couple of menus and told to sit where we wanted. After a fifteen minute wait our order was taken and did not take anytime in coming out. The food was really good. I had vegetarian spring rolls which were really nice but the chilli or sweet and sour sauce was some what lacking in flavour. The prawn toast was two slices of which was a fair plateful. They however came without a sauce which was disappointing. Main course was Kung po with bean curd and a chicken house speciality. Portion size like the starter was really large and I couldn't finish my main. The service was some what lacking, but food was really good. I thought the price was a bit on the high side and the take away menu seemed to have a different selection of dishes to the eating in menu. Will go again but just for take away.

Chinese food isn't my favourite so it's always difficult for me to review it, but came here before Christmas and had a reasonable meal with a work colleague who enjoyed it.

If it's a performance your after this is the place to be, but if it's good food you want go somewhere else. This dysfunctional place should not call itself a Chinese restaurant. We waited more the an hour for the food from the set menu, which was all from frozen. I feel that some of the dishes from the normal menu may have been eatable.

We were a group of 4 people visiting Inverness and Scotland on our bikes and this was recommended by the staff at the hotel we were staying at and we were not disappointed, all the food was well above average and there was plenty of it, the staff were very attentive. Great service and great food thanks.

This was a great find as there are no Chinese restaurants where I live so I always seek them out when on a trip. the place is huge but not too busy and the food/service are great. Portions are huge! Meal slightly spoilt by moaning customers on a nearby table as they complained about the staff talking in the kitchen and then said that people playing om their mobile phones was the main problem. i was the only other person there so presumably they meant me as I was looking at my messages! That in no way reflects on the restaurant which was excellent.

Surprised to find that this is the only Chinese restaurant in Inverness but the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. It is a huge place but there were only a couple of tables taken. Would definitely recommend it and would go again.
