Ordered from here on Uber last night and it was honestly one of the most dissapointing Chinese takeaways I've ever had. We ordered a special fried rice, an egg fried rice, a sweet and sour chicken and some salt and pepper chips. To start with the special fried rice didn't have a flavour or texture that it had been fried.. it was like boiled rice with a bit off egg chucked in. It was absolutely terrible. Honestly I can't think of a worse rice dish I've ever had. Apart from being seemingly boiled it was completely bland. Zero seasoning. Zero flavour. The meats were all individually terrible. None of them had any flavour. They were all juicy but not like meat juice like just wet inside. I'm assuming it was all frozen and it was excess water from the frost melting. It's hard to describe how they were cooked it's almost like it was all steam cooked and the juice was from the water. It was honestly nasty. No flavours. Horrible textures. The pork had too much fat on the edge and because it wasn't fried it was just like a mushy blubber it was disgusting. Luckily I had a bottle of soy sauce at home so was able to just about salvage it. I think it was about £13 for the rice and it would have gone in the bin if I didn't have soy sauce available. The most expensive rice dish I've ordered from a takeaway and the most unpleasant in every aspect. The missus had the same issue with her egg fried rice completely bland and flavourless. She didn't eat any of it I've just flushed it down the toilet. She said the sweet and sour chicken was "okay". Again she ate the chicken but left about 80% of the sauce which was also flushed with the rice. The salt and pepper chips were just as bad. I don't want to go in too harshly because we are 3 miles away from the shop and the moisture in the container could have ruined them on their delivery journey. They might have been nice when they left the shop. To be fair the chips were seasoned nicely. Very spicy plenty of chilli and plenty of heat. Nice fresh crunchy onions. The actual chips were terrible they were soggy on the outside and not a pleasant chew. There was no fluffiness inside. No real potato flavour. Again quite unpleasant but I will consider the delivery time may have possibly ruined them. All in all probably the worst chinese takeaway I've ever had. Nearly 25 quid wasted and that was with an Uber Eats promotion. Without the discount the meal would have been closer to 40 quid and every part of it was well below an acceptable quality. A complete waste of money.

Firstly, I would ignore any of the latest reviews, as factually incorrect.As far as I am aware, no take away will take food back because the customer doesnt want it anymore and refund it. The owner had incredible patience in the face of 3 women shouting and screaming at her, along with threats to throw the food, name calling along with stating they would leave bad reviews. The chicken chow mein was lovely as usual, plenty of chicken and medium noodles, not that vermicilli. The pork with soy sauce was fabulous. Salt and pepper chips made with proper chips, and spicy fried rice, and spicy is an understatement, they arent shy with the chilli. Downsides: Dont order with Just-Eat, Deliveroo, etc, the cost is upped on there by at least £2 a dish. I recommend you collect with either ordering in there or over the phone first.

I am not happy as the food smells off and didn’t look right So I asked for my money and they told me no and they didn’t say sorry or nothing

One of us awkward veggies here! 🤣 This place offers a top meat free option.👌🏾 Not those dried out triangles of air! Fresh, hot good quality. Fella has the meat option and it's always tip top!👍🏾

The food was amazing the lady helped with making orders as it was my first time and the food super delicious I love spice and the spice on the food was top notch tho it’s very spciy so if you don’t like spice you have to request for no spice But the spice made me love the food the more and am definitely going back

Some of the nicest chinese take out ive ate however theyve put the prices up by £3 on certain dishes Its just not worth it and way to expensive what a shame. been our favourite take away for over a year but tefuse to be ripped off

Been ordering from them for delivery for quite few months now. Tried quite alot dishes, we've liked everything we tried very much & always deliver earlier than timeslot given. Will warn you though, that the salt n pepper box is very spicy 🌶️🥵lol , maybe ask them make it less spicy if you can't handle spice👍. Our favourite Chinese takeaway now.

My partner and I order from this restaurant on a regular basis and we believe this is the best Chinese restaurant in the whole U.K.! The staff in is incredibly friendly and the owner always smiles and goes over and above to welcome her customers. The food is extraordinary, with affordable prices and good quantities. You can order over the phone and collect either in person or get the food delivered. Contrarily to many Chinese restaurants, they welcome card payments and do not charge any extra fees. Their chips are the top of the top. I definitely recommend paying them a visit.

Very disappointed. I've experienced a lot of Chinese food over the years I used to work in China town. Quite expensive for the area £7.90 average for area is about £6. I ordered house special fried rice. It wasn’t. It was boiled rice with oil on it quite oily. meat was nice, but lots of rice and little meat not great for the money I’ve had better. Not very chinese flavour Would not go again. As I said very disappointed it was freshly cooked and hot. Looked clean but floor was filthy.

The order was late, but it was worth the wait, everything was brilliant, our first time using the Oriental, but it won't be the last. As I said, the food was excellent, specially the spare ribs, some of the best ever.

I had a takeaway. It's great positions. Delivery guy was nice too. Food delivered nice and hot.

Hands down the best take away, the food is amazing, and the ribs are from another planet, 20/10 ,

This is the only place I know that does spicy fried rice, and it tastes absolutely fantastic! And the portion sizes are generous. If you must get delivery, order from their preferred website for the best price!

Called and made an order for collection, was greeted by friendly staff. Singapore chow mein and fried rice was fantastic. Fed two for under £30 Overall a great spot. If you like a bit of spice and a good variety. The dishes are mouth watering. Thanks guys!!!

I ordered fish and chips the fish while a nice big fish was covered in a thick mushy batter and the chips looked like they had been cooked a couple of days ago and then warmed up when I ordered them I can’t tell you exactly how they cooked them as it was all done in the back where you can’t see
