Opa Souvlaki in City of London, Westminster

We tried this typical place with greek foods this evening for dinner and we remained very satisfied..everything went so good..we eaten lamp plate and chicken wrap..with apple juice..service was so good and very kind..try it !!!

Really bad. Dont recomend it. Its not even Greek! they just sell it as greek. The fries were old and oily and meat was dry it felt that it wa reheat it.

We visited the one near Leicester Square…they didn’t have any lamb so we had chicken…it was a takeaway and on opening it up at home we were not thrilled. A thick wrap with orange looking meat, some tzatziki and fries. Needless to say…it went straight in the bin! There is a cost of living crisis and this type of restaurant are cutting too many corners…I doubt that they’ll be around for long. Not recommended.

Very disappointed. This tasted nothing like Greek souvlaki. Meat was overcooked and tasteless. It tasted like it was fried, very dry, not what you expect from souvlaki. Poor value for money too at £6 for a pitta wrap.

Hubby and I stopped for a quick bite. The staff struggled with speaking English. Hubby ordered the lamb wrap, and the lady seemed confused. She called another up to the counter and we were told they only have chicken and halloumi despite having lamb on the menu. Ok, we order two chickens. The front door and cash register both had stickers indicating they accept American Express, so we tried to pay with our AmEx, but the machine would not accept it. Finally, an older man, who was incredibly rude, came from behind the kitchen to yell at us that he does not accept AmEx. A fellow customer pointed out the AmEx stickers on the door and register. Hubby and I as well as the other customer walked out. There is a reason why we were the only customers during dinner.

Delicious food at a decent price and good location. Service is also pretty quick. Would recommend asking for a hint of chilli sauce in the wrap.

This place is easy to walk past and is a bit underrated, but the quality of their food is amazing, the souvlaki (wrap) I had was delicious! The service is very friendly and it appears to be family run. Could not recommend enough!

Came here back in December 2021 and I’ve thought about it ever since will most definitely be returning on my next trip to London, excellent service even better food this was a definitely right place right time scenario walking past and finding this absolute treasure was closed when I tried to get a second (my own fault) late on a Sunday evening so had to grab another for my Journey home on the train the next day. Thank you for your excellent food and service. I look forward to be returning shortly.

This was the best Greek food I’ve had in London and up there for best I’ve ever had. It was very authentic and run by a Greek, going to come back tomorrow morning!!

Good value for the location No frills simple souvlaki good portion size for the money Beer and soft drinks available and freshly squeezed juices

Queensway has always had its share of good cheap restaurants Opa maintains the tradition. It's a souvlaki joint with arguably the best and most generous £4.50 sandwich in London. I had chicken souvlaki, remarkably moist, it comes with chips a bit of salad and a tzatziki dressing (which I asked them not to put on the sandwich since I don't dig yoghurt) all on a flat bread, rolled up. it was filling and delicious. London doesn't really cater for people on a tight budget. This place does.

I’ve been a lover of Greek food for years and this is some of the finest souvlaki I’ve had. About 5 mins for a family of 4 and the food was at our table…. Will 100% be back next time I’m in London…. It’s just across the road from Queensway tube, worth popping off the train for some.

I am speechless as to how incredible this place is. The owner has a heart of gold and is very kind and caring, would definitely recommend to anyone and if you are in the area, this is a must.

Simply the best! The price is great for the portion and the staff are super friendly. It’s not far from me so I’m going to be a regular:-)

Doing take aways during lockdown, this little Greek souvlaki place does tasty souvlaki in Greek pitta. Comes with traditional salad, a few fries inside and tzatziki. Very nice
