Dropped in without a reservation. It was a great experience. The staff we friendly and very helpful, and the food was excellent. I would recommend you visit the Opa in Bath and enjoy a very pleasant evening.

Amazing place that feels like you are stepping into Greece! The food was divine and lovely to see so many other hen dos. We ate quite late, post 9pm and the venue was quite loud from 10pm onwards as they turn the main section into a disco around that time. We did stay into the early hours of the morning and the dj was decent. Would thoroughly recommend doing the plate breaking, it was super fun!

We attended yesterday for my sisters hen do and there was 22 of us. The service was incredible! We were really looked after and we took part in the plate smashing experience which was so much fun! My sister really enjoyed it and the music in the ‘club’ section was so good as well. Literally everything you could want in one place! The only negative was that there were various tea light candles around the venue for ambience and my cousin had to stand aside to let a waiter through and her hair and dress set on fire! It wouldn’t change my overall review but maybe something to be careful of. Thanks for a fab night!! We’ll definitely be back.

Not so much a Greek vibe as a party vibe. Samba music and lots of glitz. The stairs down to the restaurant were a challenge for my wife's knees. The outdoor dining area overlooking the river was very "Greece" but only in good weather. The food was good, but a tad underpowered on seasoning. (Spanakopita, fritters, and lemon potatoes), but I'm critical having grown up in a Greek household.

Fell upon this place by accident after leaving the restaurant nextdoor. As a party of 11 for my friends hen we were treated incredibly well. Extremely hospitalable, attentive staff. Great drinks and prices. Loved it!

What a great little find. The local council need to get their act together and remove the ugly boat scrap yard off the river opposite.

Great food options, definitely get the 2 cocktails deal. I really enjoyed the Mediterranean trio! Right on the Avon river, we sat outside and enjoyed the heaters when it cooled off. The 'meals for 2' are large and could like feed 3 or 4. The pita was fresh.

The restaurant is located in the basement of a Georgian building (this is Bath!) and beneath a number of vaulted ceilings. It is quite garishly lit and so any 'old' atmosphere is lost. There, perhaps, 10 other diners, though it was only 17.45 hrs. We ordered 2 cocktails, a bottle of wine, a Greek Salad, Spanakopita pie, Sofrito, Fried Calamari and Aegean Mussels. We had to remind the waiter for the cocktails. The Calamari (really thin bands of squid) were luke warm and sent back. When they returned they were now like crisps which suggested they were refried as opposed to a fresh batch. The Sofrito beef was quite firm. The mussels were the size of fingernails. Overall a very disappointing experience and certainly the most boring Greek-style food we've tasted. Having pointed this out to the staff member when paying the bill it was agreed the service charge would be deducted.

14-Srptember-2024 Despite my nephew and I changing the time of our booking a few times, staff were always helpful to accommodate. For starters, we had: mixed olives; greek gambas; yia yia spinach pies, and cretan ntolmadakia. Then, for mains, we shared the feast of the titans all washed down with bierra moretti. It was quite busy even for 5:30 pm on a Saturday. However, the service was excellent. Thoroughly delicious and would recommend.

Title: Disappointing Birthday Lunch Due to Rude Service We had a reservation at Opa Bath for 1:45 pm while visiting from the US, but as newcomers to the UK, we had difficulty finding parking and the restaurant itself, ultimately arriving about 20-25 minutes late. Upon arrival, we noticed several empty tables, so we explained that we had a reservation but were running late, asking if they could still accommodate us. Unfortunately, instead of being understanding, the restaurant owner was incredibly rude. Without inquiring about our situation or showing any concern, he gave us a lecture on the importance of punctuality. He mentioned that we should have called, but as tourists relying on eSIMs with no data, we couldn’t. We were on a short, 4-day trip to the UK and had no way to inform them. To top it off, he slammed the menu on the table, which was not the kind of attitude we expected. On the bright side, the food was good overall, and the waitress who served us was very sweet, providing some relief from the negative experience. However, the chicken with eggplant was extremely chewy and unpleasant. The owner turned up around the time we were paying our bill to rudely say, Amex is not accepted here and walked away without giving us options for payment. This was supposed to be my birthday lunch, and unfortunately, the owner's rude behavior made the occasion very disappointing. While the food was mostly enjoyable and the waitress kind, the poor service from the owner, who also appeared to be the bartender, overshadowed the experience. I wouldn’t return to Opa Bath and wouldn’t recommend it to others based on this interaction.

I always try to see the other side and not leave a negative review. But it’s hard not to, after my experience at OPA Restaurant. Upon arriving at 2:00 pm, it was only a couple sitting outdoors. I went to sit to a small table further down to have a view of the river and get some sunshine. Almost immediately, I was told that these tables are only for people who order drinks. I did not protest. I was placed outdoors where the area is only for food orders. I ordered the Big Greek salad and some pita bread. I made sure to choose BIG. After 15 minutes, the side of the Big Greek salad came in what was a very, very small bowl which consisted of two small slices of tomato cut up; some tiny pieces of cucumber with some onion, 3 cube feta slices and two olives. I was baffled. I asked the waitress if this is the Big Greek salad that I’d ordered. She confirmed - with an embarrassing smile drawn all over her face. The size of the portion was literally in a plate that you’d usually get for your coffee mug at Starbucks/Costa/Nero. The pita bread was OK. They added £3.00 for the service charge. I usually tip, but there was no justification in this poor service. I have been to a number of restaurants not only in the U.K. but overseas. This was the smallest portion of Greek salad or any salad that I’ve been served with. Such a disappointment.

We booked the standard cocktail masterclass for a hen party of 17 people as the website says it is an interactive/immersive experience and the reviews are also positive. Unfortunately, we had the total opposite experience. On arriving the male host wasn’t overly welcoming and said it was booked for 16 people, not 17. I showed proof of the booking and he huffed and went to get more glasses. We also had a pregnant member of the group with us and when we asked if we could make mocktails instead he didn’t seem very pleased about it. The masterclass wasn’t interactive like other places are. There was no introduction, no games, no ‘banter’ if you like. The host went off a few times to do other things which was frustrating. We also had to ask if we could physically make the cocktails, a lot of them were made for us and this isn’t what we had signed up for. Out of the 3 cocktails made only 1 was bearable to drink. Upon receiving the bill an optional 12.5% service charge had been added. As a collective group we didn’t feel the ‘service’ we had received was worthy of the amount added so opted to remove it from the bill. Upon informing the host of this he aggressively asked ‘what was wrong with my service?’. He then questioned the amount we were paying (we had deducted the deposit and service charge) but he insisted the amount we came up with wasn’t correct. In fact he insisted we owed 10p (?!) and said it ‘wasn’t going to come out his pocket’. We gave the host 10p in change and paid the rest by card. The host made it quite evident he wasn’t happy with us removing the service charge and we all felt was very rude in his response. It’s a shame to post such a negative review as I’ve eaten at the restaurant before and had nothing but praise. However, on this occasion no-one had a positive thing to say about our experience and it was extremely uncomfortable to be aggressively questioned/spoken to as we were

Great venue, very atmospheric with excellent use of lighting. Service was good however the Food was disappointing and in my opinion overpriced £22.95 i.e. a Chicken Souvlaki which really consisted of 3 cubes of chicken a couple of peppers a large plate of chips and a small salad.

After a long hot day, wandering the streets of Bath, Opa, was the perfect find. Brilliant and welcoming service, such delicious meze with a cool and refreshing gin. Such a great find along the River Avon, at the foot of the bridge.

Don't be put off by the understated entrance. The food is excellent and authentically greek. The vaulted ceilings give it a great vibe and bustly atmosphere. Service was good, but a little laissez-faire. Overall, an unexpected gem.

Amazing place, the food was phenomenal and the wedding dance and plate smashing was super fun! I wish they had cake on the menu but it wasn't in stock :( ice cream was great still They took my dietary needs into consideration and made sure to accommodate for me! Amazing

Opa Bath UK. What can I say about this place? Opa is my favourite club in Bath. I've been here over 15 years ago. Great vibe, great fun, love the music here, good food, reasonable prices for drinks. Mostly I visited at night after work. I recently visited Opa in the afternoon. So, whenever we always have a wonderful time here, the service was okay though there is nothing to write home about! Overall, I love this place for clubbing, putting your head down and hanging out after work.

Lovely food, loved the passion fruit mocktails. Really great atmosphere as there were a couple of hen partys in there when we were dining so made a great atmosphere along with the plate smashing. Toilets were very dark to make an atmosphere I assume but would have been better having properly lit toilets.

This is a hidden gem in the city of Bath, UK. Everything here was amazing. We had a starter, a main, lots of old fashioned cocktails, and SO MUCH FUN here. I recommend sitting inside the restaurant, even if the weather is nice and outside is calling you... it is SOOOOO beautiful and magical inside! The service here was incredible. We never had to wait for anything and whenever we needed help, someone was nearby to offer it. I would highly recommend Opa to anyone visiting Bath who is looking for a fun, high-quality dinner experience that isn't too expensive and is worth every penny and more. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic place!! Originally booked for a group of 16 hen girls and we had an amazing time. Staff were soo accommodating and handled the large group very well. We opted in for the plate smashing package and it was so much fun, food was also amazing. There was so much of it we took some of it home with us! Really good value for money and the atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely. We even stayed outside in the heated area for longer after our table was up. Thank you OPA staff for looking after us!

Visited Opa in Bath on recommendations from others and booked a table in the bar area. When we arrived we were met with a table literally next to the bar, very loud music and a large drunken hen group learning to Greek dance. We asked to move outside and were accommodated, which we were very grateful for. However, outside we felt forgotten, with the waitress disappearing for periods of time and not cracking a smile once. The food however, is what saved our visit as it was fantastic- we had halloumi bites, pitta and dips, lamb and chicken which were all delicious. The reason I've given food 4* is because the 'Greek salad' with the Chicken was just a pile of lettuce leaves and the dips were bland and tasteless. Had high hopes for this restaurant but unfortunately, wouldn't return.
