Oodles Watford in Watford

soggy noodles, flavourless, unfortunately the vegetarian katsu was just soggy frozen cauliflower with chip shop curry sauce, not much vegetarian options, paneer marked as vegan (VE) but obviously not as cheese, just generally not nice :( maybe i ordered the wrong thing … spring rolls were nice tho 🤷‍♀️

Love this food. My favourite is vegetable rice & noodles with Katsui chicken curry. Delicious 😋

Visit last night after returning from London before our long trip home to Durham and I must say the food is really nice loads of flavor The kids loved the ice cream Thank you.

Great taste but tend to get food poisoning at times.

The noodles seem good, and the chicken is also really good, as well as the sauces. However, as I was enjoy my meal, it seems I found a hair in my food. It was short like a guy's hair, I don't believe it belonged to me or anyone around me. I know that this was of course probably not intentional, however it did spoil it for me. The food was great, but next time please can the workers be more careful, maybe wearing hair nets or something to prevent this would be helpful. Other than this, keep up the good work, good food as well as quick service as waiting time wasn't long. Thank you, hope you take my feedback into consideration.

Have always loved coming to eat here from when it first opened. Portions were great and very filing. However, after coming along today I noticed the small box is now dubbed as the regular size. There also seems to be a lot more rice at the bottom and not much chicken in top. Please don't try and cut costs by adding extra carbs and reducing the protein.

Ordered via Uber Eat App, it came soggy and tasteless rice with a bit of chicken, will never order again

so..the flavour of my noodles and the crispy veg, were lovely.. HOWEVER.. i explained i cant take chilli due to a serious illness, and i chose stuff without chilli.. and then my food was SO spicy! i loved the flavour but the heat was absolutely horrible for me. so altho the staff were lovely, and it would have been a wonderful meal, i could literally take 4 or 5 bites before my mouth was on fire. im still hungry and an hour later my mouth has just now started to stop being swollen and painful. please don't spice up the stuff without the chilli sign.

Ordering from a complex menu takes quite a bit of time. And they brought uncooked nuddle and topping. we didn't like it

Kids like it, I'm not a big fan. it's Chinese food by conveyor belt, lots of flavour enhancer. I mean as a quick meal it's fine. But minimal portions in terms of meat or chicken and I think far too expensive.

Quite expensive for reheat food. Rice and noodles ok but the rest is rubbish like old chilli chips , all chicken taste the same and not freshly made. After reading the reviews you can see the fake 5 Star from new accounts and your business should be banned for fake paid reviews.

I tried this for the first time and it was quite good, however I was concerned whilst waiting for my food and witnessing them add pre-cooked cold chicken to the pre-made food in the display window. Sure its heated and if you leave it long enough it will get up to temperature, but I didn’t see them checking this was the case before serving it.

This is the worst Oodles branch that ever existed! They have ruined all the original recipes. If you want original oodles go to either ilford or southall This branch is fake!!

Order three value meals with mild spice. Though food was bit more spicy than expected but it tasted great.

We eat here almost once or even twice a week, you really get what you pay for (and much more) the manager and staff are so friendly and the food is so good!

It was a very bad experience with them ,i just visit first time and order egg fried rice and manchurian chicken ,while eating i found a hair artical in the rice ,when i asked to the staff for refund ,one of cashier was very roude even he doesnot apologise me ,massive ,disgusting experince

Great place for a vegetarian, I loved the vegetable paneer and katsu veg curry toppings! Veg stir fry is good too. Love that you can pick two different bases, my favourites are the spicy fries and veg fried rice. While the boxes make look small it's genuinely quite a large portion that'll leave you full, their regular size of £7 is a perfect takeaway.

This used to be my favourite take away through uber eats. I'm single but order two large and have two meals because oodles was so great. Now order a large for £13.45 get 5 prawns and 6 pieces of chicken? Loads of rice and noodles? Not such good portions

They have equipment to make good stir fry but that doesn't necessarily mean that they have the experience or know how and that is what was manifest in the overdone noodles and uncrunchy vegetables. The flavour was good so not a bad eating experience, but it could be better.

Food was lovely, just killed myself with medium 🔥 🔥 meat noodles, should have ordere 🔥. Service was quick. Place was clean and staff was very helpful. Would recommend.

The food here is disgusting! DO NOT EAT HERE! I ordered in March via uber complained to uber with no refund because of quality of the food. Its not proper Chinese. The flavours are so plain. Presentation was great price was high and food was so bad we couldn't eat it all. In my house there's never left over Chinese. First time and last time ordering.

We went yesterday and absolutely loved the food. I went for Udon noodles x 2 Malaysian chicken and schewan beef. The food was fresh and flavoursome. Portion was huge , I will definitely be visiting again.

Gave our family food poisoning!!!! We are extremely ill because of your food!!!!! Seemed like the chicken was reheated a few times, explaining its rubbery taste. Workers don't care about food handling and preparation.

Nice place to eat. Friendly staff, helped with our choices, tidy small sit in area with an open front. Portions are deceptively bigger than they look, my kids couldn’t finish a small portion. Tasty sauces and options or noodles or rice if you prefer, Will come again.

Create your own box is a good option. I had udon noodles, egg fried rice, Manchurian chicken & teriyaki chicken. It was very tasty, filling and worth the money.

Beautiful tasty food. Probably been there for 50th time now. The food is amazing and can be disappointing at times. What you should try to understand is, every topping is different, and you have to find your combination. For me, I absolutely love the caramel chicken + Sweet sour chicken with Udon noodles, whilst I hate the Vegetable noodles. By mistake, when we ordered the veg noodles, we were not able to finish it. This tells us, perfect combination according to your taste buds is very important. Cons: I do have an issue with portion size vs money. They are increasing prices and not increasing box sizes. Pros: I have tried Oodles in Luton, Leicester, Loughborough and here. I must say the Udon noodles in this branch is the best. Fresh and succulent when dipped in soy sauce. Truly the closest indo-asian experience in the UK.

We’ve just ordered for the first time from Oodles Chinese Watford! The food tasted disgusting and I’m not even after compensation! Wherever we have bought noodles they have been full of flavour! These on the other hand were soggy and food arrived luke warm!

This is the best place to eat and get your amazing tasty noodles from. Staff are all very friendly. We travel from Edgware to get our Oodles and now we have introduced it to many friends too.

First time we went to this place for lunch and OMGGG so so nice! Me and my husband absolutely loved it. We got the medium size mix but it was so much! Amazing portion great price and we so delicious ! Service was amazing too!

Just passing from lower high street and saw the oodles so i think to try it so visit this and order Chinese lamb and crispy chicken .food getting ready in 7 mint and presentation and food taste just amazing and the service is awesome. Surely recommend to try this amazing food stuff is also very professional

Nicely packed and presented but terrible preparation of food. For £9.50 a portion what I got was two varieties of substandard chicken cubes dumped on some noodles and rice that appeared to have been prepared once for the entire day. You get better food than this from Iceland for fraction of the price. This was the first and the last ….

Been to this Watford branch several times as my friend referred me this store Well their food is Awsome 100% Accurate taste of sauces and portion is bigger As they topped up very well . Nice and cosy dinner Area comfortable sofas really enjoyed to dine . i personally refer all you guys go up there give it a try .staff is very friendly and their customer service is tremendous. Txx

I am always big fan of halal Chinese food and oodles is one of my go place.This Watford branch of oodles leaves all others behind this was my first visit here from their presentation and the taste of food every thing was beyond my expectations. Last but not least their well behaved staff.All credit goes to their management.

Fantastic food. Four different dishes in one container. Tons in there, so much flavour. Spicy rice is actually spicy. Oodles is my new favourite Chinese takeaway 100%. Can't wait to try more dishes 👌🏻

I tried this place and got fooled by the 50% off for one day only - I wouldn't eat here even if it was 100% off.. Got home and everything was squashed into a tiny box which was supposed to be 'large'?! How can you mix fried rice with veg noodles? In addition there was no 'veg' in my noodles it was 2 tiny cubes of carrot which came from the frozen veg bag....I saw the chefs cooking in a wok so I assumed it would be fresh- oh boy that was a mistake! no vegetables at all and for egg fried rice there was less than a tablespoon right at the bottom of the box - the chicken was inedible as it had a horrible res sauce on it and I ordered salt and pepper chicken which I have never had with a red sauce before its usually crispy and dry- the prawns had exactly the same coating I couldn't tell difference between which was chicken and prawn!! DO NOT eat here even if you are desperate - there are plenty of restaurants on the high st i.e McDonalds is 5 minutes away. To the owner - please teach your chefs to cook before opening a restaurant.

Really filling and can't go wrong for a meal just under £10. Enough to feed 2 with the large box!

I am only giving 2 stars for the customer service. 1st time I went to this place and Honestly I was looking forward to it. The hype made me think... why have I not tried this before. I took my family. Daughter got spring rolls and wanted to share. Rolls where ok. Nothing special Husband got egg fried rice but there barely any egg. He asked for vegetables noodles no veg. His prawns where cold considering we waited 40mins being told everything was fresh.nothing fresh about our food. Mine was full of sauce. I wanted chips at the bottom of my box but I got 12 on top with the ends of chips and I was just so disappointed. The chicken didn't taste nice. Wasted £25bob

Disgusting! I ordered a few times from here was always mediocre but ordered today it was inedible. Disgusted don’t bother ordering here it tastes like an Asda microwave meal absolutely rank.

Just ordered from here, and I won’t again, they forgot my rice, Not like that a bad thing considering the food quality, additionally they put it as a “large box” and allow 4 items for it, making you think it’s a bundle (with everything put into different containers and ready for your own serving) but no, all in one little box, meaning that if they had made my order correctly I would’ve had 2 different sides, odon noodles and Singapore rice all being mixed together, seriously I could’ve given my 3yo son £5 worth of ingredients and gotten a better Chinese back, the only thing I would recommend from the menu is the tango ice blast, you know, one of the things they don’t make

We really enjoy the food here and have ordered several times at this point. However dishes that are not supposed to be spicy, still arrived covered in the red sauce which now my partner will no longer be ordering from here. While we like spicy food every single fish does not need to be covered in this red spicy sauce. If this is not supposed to be the case the owner needs to investigate what is being sent out of their establishment.

Waste of money. Never again. Ordered the vegetable no8 box, which is VEGETABLE noodles, VEGETABLE rice and VEGETABLE CURRY. The noodles had no vegetables, the rice had 2 pieces of pepper and the curry was only cauliflower. With all these vegetable dishes in a box you would think there would be more than cauliflower. Clearly cheaped out...

Hi.. Very sorry to say this, had a bad experience on the day i visited this place. The one lady who was on the reception was on phone taking some orders, which is completely understandable. I waited there for some time. Then a gentleman (of course looks like) came to the next counter and he called the next customer on the que, where i was stading first and looking on the menu and ready to give order. Then the lady (the first person mentioned) contined to do the order works after the phone is being hanged. Ok.. Then the man called the third person standing on the que completely avoiding me and took the order. If you want to prepare order for some special people only, please put a board on your shop that particular people only allowed in the shop and only they can place any order. If they tell me what was happening and or any positive response from them i must have stayed there. NB to the owner: there is no point of giving good food with these kind of staffs in such an attitude.

Non Chinese owned chain of Chinese fast food restaurants. This particular branch in Watford has a bunch of buffoons running it, thinking they're funny whilst taking their sweet time to cook the simplest of orders. Overladen woks full of noodles is not the way to properly cook a chow mein. Save yourself the time and effort and don't bother giving this place your business, plenty of MUCH better places to enjoy Chinese food in Watford. Un-authentic and a joke to real Chinese food.

The food is absolutely delicious - always arrives hot, with generous portions. They also have great customer service - when Deliveroo missed out something from our order, Oodles immediately sent the missing box, along with prawn crackers and fortune cookies. Ordering from them is a very satisfying experience. Edit: I'm adding an edit (around a year later, I think?) Just to say that this is an awesome restaurant - the staff are so helpful and kind! This time it was a JustEat error, making the order for collection instead of delivery; the restaurant immediately resolved the issue. Also to add that the food is always delicious- we order from them almost every week. Definitely a 5 star!

Worst customer experience! Online and in-store.

I just ordered a take out from here and the food was awful, it was just one big mess in a box. My son had sweet and sour chicken and it was spicy and covered in pepper. We couldn’t even eat the food and I only have one mouthful, I am now having to order from somewhere else, having wasted my money already. After checking the food hygiene website, I understand now why they have a 3 star rating. I definitely won’t be returning back here.
