I recently visited Crispy Dosa in Watford and had a great experience. The dosa was perfectly crispy, and the sambar was full of flavour. There’s a wide variety of South Indian vegetarian dishes to choose from. The service was excellent—Teja was especially friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving authentic South Indian food!

Food is quite average and we waited around more than 15 to 20 minutes

Quality and taste of food has gone down a lot.had some food today and takeaway.dishes are not tasty at all and takeaway was awful.such a shame as was really good in the beginning but now awful.. won't recommend at all to friends and family

This place is renovated and has a better feel and vibe to it then it already did. The food is nice. Staff are friendly. Plenty of options catering for the needs customers wanting to eat South Indian as well as North Indian dishes. We went as a family and ordered: - Gobi 65 - Mini Ghee Idly - Kids Cone Ghee Roast Dosa - Ghee Plain Dosa - Rava Plain x 2 - Masala Dosa - Nilgiri Dosa And the bill came to about £62. Some dishes in the Menu were quite pricey compared to other South Indian places we regularly dine at such as A2B, Sarvana Bhavan, Vasant Vilas.

Ordered panner tikka. When it cane it was ice cold. Called the waiter and showed them but they insisted it was fresh. I told them to hold and check as we were anyways not going to eat it. She checked and realized and asked if she can get a fresh one. We denied as soea not seem they make it fresh.

The food was nice however the staff have no common courtesy. Walked in with a pushchair the staff clearly saw me struggling to get the pushchair through the door however, they just stood and watched Instead of helping. The chairs in the restaurant were dirty and I asked the waiter to clean it which he didn’t like. They didn’t even offer a high chair which was annoying

Took some stars because the area was a bit dingy, table and serving dishes were not the cleanest and we sat by the door it was cold. Place also smelled strongly of onion which was off putting. But the food was well made and came quickly. They made non onion garlic options for us and they were good.

Another highly recommended restaurant is Crispy Dosa in Watford, which serves real Keralan food with fresh, excellent, and numerous meals such as Medu Vada, Idli Sambhar, Dosa, and Chai, which reminds me of the native Indian taste. Locals describe it as the best South Indian food outside of Kerala, giving wonderful food at very reasonable costs, and this restaurant has the best waiter, Manju, who offered us a nice recommendation and provided us with prompt service.

Best South Indian breakfast I had. Definitely delicious and fresh made Dhosa and other food item. Staff were really nice and polite specially Manju who takes care of us. I love it. Definitely recommend place.

Had dinner today at this restaurant. We had been there many times and food was ok. But today we found something in the kurma, unfortunatly towards the end when food was finished not sure what it was. When asked the staff, she said its spices. God knows what it is.

We had only take away, therefore I cannot say a lot about the atmosphere. The service was quite slow we were waiting the take away for quite a while. The food was satisfactory enough, portion is nice, prices are also reasonable. Nice veggie food 😋

However, the food lacked the flavors I was expecting. It just didn’t have that punch or richness that you typically get from Indian cuisine. To make matters worse, I ordered Pani Puri, but what I received seemed to have masala dosa stuffing instead of the usual flavorful potato mix. It was a bit of a letdown. Overall, while the restaurant has potential, I hope they can improve the flavors to match the overall experience.

My visit today was very disappointing with stale and luke warm sambar . Never again 😕

A new find! Absolutely delicious food. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Very happy to recommend - not least because it is a completely vegetarian menu!

Awful experience, terrible customer service, food was poor. We had a reservation for 8 people and when we arrived they said there was no booking and no space. We had to find evidence for our reservation, after which they managed to find a table of 8 (despite saying they were full the whole day). Upon ordering, the starters arrived before half the drinks, when the lassi jug finally arrived we were given no cups. There was also a fly in the lassi, when we raised this, the manager was unapologetic, unhelpful, and unsurprised, claiming it was not their fault. Food - we had to ask for cutlery and plates 4 times, once these finally arrived, the paneer was rubbery and the dosa arrived cold. Not sure what was worse, the fly flavoured lassi, cold food or terrible service.

If could I would give a zero star, i just entered the restaurant, hard 4 table were occupied we asked for the table with sofa but the person who attended US said no even after insisting because we were just two. I mean why ?? We might hardly take 30-45min to order eat and leave. Even it was not a rush hour. That’s not the way to treat a customer who is just entering the restaurant

I have been here twice: once for breakfast and once for lunch. I have no idea what I had but I do know it was delicious, satisfying and the staff were wonderful with my ignorance.

We went there at Lunch time today and thought the food was average but it was cold by the time we started eating. We ordered the Lunch Combo which was served in steel thali. The thali’s were freezing cold and when the prepared food was served in these cold steel thali’s, the food goes cold. It’s pointless serving hot food on a freezing cold plate. Invest in some warming trays so that in these cold days at least you get to serve warm food which customers expect

Pre match supper as restaurant was 10 mins from Stadium. We had the pick of tables at 6.30pm. Ordered chai, Dosa and fries. Chai was OK. Dosa was not crispy but tasty. The fries were fries! They did not have sweet potato version or sweetener for tea. Not the best experience.

One of the finest south Indian food chain restaurant having multiple branches across the UK serving authentic real taste of South Indian dishes.

We went for dinner at around 8pm on a Friday, the restaurant was quite empty(only 4 other people on 2 tables) and staff/service was ok and they add a 10% service charge on your bill. We ordered Veg munchurian, Ravva dosa, idly & Parota with Korma and they charged us 35£ which is over priced for the quality. Only manchuria was good and idly was ok but chutneys are tasteless & the parota was not crispy/layered, it was not cooked well, was cold and chunky & had some lumps of dough, Ravva dosa was roasted too much its like a papad and not enjoyable. Overall we were disappointed with the food and price. Not going to come here again or would recommend to anyone.

They serve the best Masala Dosa ever in Watford.

Visiting Watford for a week. Was walking around town and high street for a place to eat and found Crispy Dosa. Ordered Guntur panner, panner Dosa, masala kasava - they were all dry, should have ordered some curry. The taste was good. Also got kulfi (on a stick) - tasted good, and paan (was not fresh, was old and dry, couldn't swallow, had to spit it away). I was pleasantly surprised to know the staff spoke my mother tongue, easy to order. Will recommend if you are craving for lighter Indian food.

Booked a table via Google, but didn't need to. Two staff greeted us, which was unnecessary, but the food was great. Passion fruit juice tasted salty. Food was not too spicy. About 1/4 of the menu was vegan. I would go again.

Very disappointed that this is the 3rd time they do not give red onions with Chole bhatura , only white, they do not understand that it has to be red that goes with this dish. They just don’t care what the customer wants. Will not be going back now again.
