Dunnings Bar in Watford

Well run Irish pub - great for a casual pint in the week and also for a bit more on the weekends 🕺🎵. Decent drop of the black and reasonably priced (£4.70)

i moved to North Watford in April, and I've been coming to this bar since about June after trying to find a decent 'local' it's always busy on a Saturday, and Sunday afternoon. the staff always friendly and locals affable too. The bar maid on Saturday November 2nd dress in the minion body suit was really good looking, had a nice body and highlight of the night!

I recently enjoyed a Sunday roast at Dunnings Bar, and it was excellent. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. I had the roast lamb, which was cooked to perfection—tender and juicy—with crispy Yorkshire puddings and golden roast potatoes. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful, and the rich gravy tied everything together perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a traditional Irish hearty Sunday roast, Dunnings is a must-visit!!

Nice pub with friendly customers. The bar lady was a bit miserable. Not very friendly or welcoming. The guy behind the bar was very smiley, chatty & helpful. Puts a downer on a place when the staff are moody! Smiling costs nothing 👌

Family run, always a mature crowd, great service with live music and large beer garden

The female owner came up to me and my friend and said ‘girls are we drinking’. We are two 25 year old women and I still had drink in my glass as we’d only been in there half an hour. We were about to get another round but decided to leave it👍🏻Very desperate behaviour from her!!!!

There was a great buzz in the pub. Food was over so we didn't get to sample it.

A Kip. No quality to there drink. No supervision on how to pour a drink. Attitude unreal from so called staff. Prices vary up and down depending on your race and colour.

Attended a wake here and the catering was good and the staff were efficient and friendly

The Guinness is usually alright in here. I had a couple then back home for a brisk shower before bed. Job done.

Good Irish pub which has spent money on interior but as a Guinness drinker who is always searching for a good pint it has gradually got worse over the 5 years I’ve been drinking on and off in here. Should take more concern on the glasses and the beer rather than than the lights and the pictures

Great beer garden with great service

Didn't go on a particually busy night but there was enough going on to keep the few staff on thier toes. It's been a very long time since I've seen staff, smartly dressed, eyes open, heads up, aknowledging with eye contact and the occasional nod, whilst abiding by the old rule in the smoking area of no more that 3 cigarette butts in an ashtray....Not sure who's training these kids but he/she's doing a grand job. No idea how much I was paying for a pint but it was worth it with to see a level of service I haven't witnessed since I was in the trade.

Great bar staff, smiley and efficient. Especially in the back bar. Well done on which was a difficult day with a large wake. Much appreciated

Pub has recently had a refurb. Pub looks nice and spacious with its extended beer garden. Play cards down there sometimes but I reckon they should reinvest in a pool table which would bring some of the old crowd back

Been a few times and always enjoyed myself great atmosphere and mix of people. Would like to give a big shout out to the security for how well they dealt with quite I small issues but made me feel safe and everyone was so kind.

A good large bar which is well furnished in a unique but classical style. Staff are good and there is outside space. Well worth a visit

Great place to drop in on especially for St Patrick's Day celebrations. There's plenty of music to enjoy throughout the year as well. Getting rather busy even at 12:30 in the afternoon and it is impossible to get to the bar. A special thanks to Debbie - bar staff. No real cask ale on tap or ordinary Guinness - just the extra cold one. Bottled beer is available. Wine too. Irish Stew with a little orange jelly was a lovely touch to enjoy. Proper Irish atmosphere 🍀

Been here a few times now nice pub very clean and nice staff. My only point to make is everytime I've been in and ordered the same drink I have been charged different prices each time. Seems very inconsistent.

Good old Irish pub, absolutely amazing security. The staff are great too. Atmosphere is outstanding. Great bands that play. Best Guinness in England. Always a good night and the Karaoke is great fun.

Haven't been to this pub since 1996. New name and so well laid out. Friendly welcome, reasonably priced drinks. Friendly customers. Loos are spotless. Simply a fun place to visit.

Basing on my little experience as a bartender in Gordon Ramsay group, the pub has a great bar service but the security must be improved ,not about my self but about the fitting people in the garden, All the best guys

I was not happy with the sellers at all .... Please pray for them to sell you two beers ... That's unacceptable ... And that's not all. As long as I speak to you nicely, Do not you do it? I prayed for an hour, while they continued to sell alco, so-called (loyal customers). Admosfera was pleasing ... Serving is desirable.
