After waiting for a while (about 15 minutes), we got up and asked the counter if we had to order at the counter. A short while later the waitress came to the table and seemed annoyed that she had to serve guests. The burgers arrived within minutes of ordering. The look is a bit dull but ok. However, the burger overall gave the impression of being a supermarket pre-made burger from the microwave. Really not recommended. The meat wasn't always warm either, it was partly hot and partly still cold. This also speaks for the microwave. I wouldn't eat here again.

Table for 8 people and three of those were children. The waiting staff were brilliant. Very helpful with menu

My sister took me out to dinner last Friday, we came here as we've been a few times before, the food was quite bad reheats at best, not a great experience i ate my dinner because i didn't want to upset my sister, she has since spoken to management who have offered her to go back and get another dinner on the house, hopfully that will be better P.S my sister did say to the waitress that the food wasn't very good she replied " I'll let them know" but that was that!

Everything is fine, they only need an extractor so that the restaurant is not full of smells from all the meals.

Appalling service. At least 6 staff but couldn't get any service too busy chatting or on their phones.Only us and one other table but no excuse for such poor service. Restaurant has gone downhill since the new owners have taken over. Food and choices are nowhere near as good.Wont be back.

The area around the table was dirty. Food from the breakfast. Disgusting

New menu food is ace staff can't do enough

Went on a Sunday morning just after 11. Seemed to be only one waiter and one doing coffee. Very slow service. More staff arrived just after 12 which was when our food arrived. Not the best square sausage roll either, very dry.

Dinner bed and breakfast all well room's neat and tidy. Covid rules followed.

The meal was really good. Hubby had the steak it was presented well but it was rather bland and quite tasteless n chewy. He ha the sirloin steak. I had peppercorn chicken which was tasty but lacked the wow factor.i had the haggis n black pudding bon bons they were a bit cold but tasty

First time we came across this place after a visit to 5 sisters zoo. Was lovely to sit outside,Scampi was lovely and my partner really enjoyed his steak pie,unfortunately didn't have room for desert! We had the combo platter to start,everything was lovely,would be nice to have the coleslaw separate as we don't both like it. Great choice of food,nice atmosphere,attentive staff..would recommend 👌

first time at resturant lovely starters for the four of us i had steak pie lovely tender meat but absolutely tasteless the other mains were fine and coffee at end would definitely visit again not steak pie

Place is clean and follows the covid-19 regulations. Food and service is good and have a good variety of dishes, prices are reasonable too.

Nice restaurant and good food. The service is incredibly slow, so I would only advise going if you're not in a rush. The specials are always worth a try as they are often nicer than the items on the menu.

Dined here whilst staying at the hotel. Both breakfast and evening meals was second to none. Would definitely eat here again and recommend it.

I stayed at the hotel that is attached to one o eight. My stay was for 10 nights. My food was always really good and consistent as I was able to try some meals more than once. I would have rated better but the service was consistently slow. Staff was nice but took way to long to come back around to you and there were several times I needed to get up from the table to get service. If you dont mind the wait and want good food then one o eight is the place.

Rating would of been better if i didnt have too wait to order. Bar staff and waiting staff professional and courteous. Food was good. Place was clean. It was a long time from walking in too ordering, but food came out promptly and was good, staff were then attentive. Would have scored 4 star if it easnt for the initial wait when i went in ... they were just over half full with about 5 people looking after maybe 30 people eating ..... the staff were friendly.

Extremely disappointing service .... as ive been handed a menu then waited 20 minutes for someone to take an order ...... walked out ..... unsure if its order at the bar but certainly wasnt explained and the staff seem more interested in entertaining friends or family .... terrible service.
