On A Roll in Waveney

On a flying visit to Lowestoft we went to West Point instead of the beach and came across On A Roll, expecting a ‘greasyJo’ type establishment we were extremely surprised by the presentation of the diner, and the quality of the food was exceptional. Home made Southern fried chicken and mayo salad baguettes, fantastic and so fresh. Highly recommended a visit to this most easterly point for a snack!

I've been here before for Bacon and Cheese Burger, however I went back for half pound burger and corr that was the one.

Excellent food and ambience. Amazing service by Adam. Made our dinner special. Food is excellent. The staff was very helpful guiding us the way to airport lovely food perfect environment love the food.

This food van is tucked away on an industrial estate near the quayside. Ordered one quarter pound and one half pound cheeseburger...Andy the owner showed us the 'smashed' burgers which are freshly made every day...the quality of the burger, bun and salads are excellent, far exceeding our expectations from a burger van. He has an enclosed seating area and we had table service. He even gave us two marshmallow twirls as a bonus. Has a large varied menu on Just Eat as he also has a kitchen behind his van. Excellent value...wish Andy lived near us in Southport !

Open even with the road closed on the way to them. Always the best food and fryup around. Now I have to admit that i am fussy when it come to a fryup, but these guys are just simply the best! there is no addtional grese on the plate and always top quality. My other half lovest the frypus and me the burgers,. everything is made on site while you wait. As for the new addtion of home made milkshake which are amazing!!!!! Thius place is a MUST try when visitiung lowestoft!

Excellent excellent excellent! Staff couldn't try to cater for you more. All ingredients and end product is of an extremely high standard. Its a little bit expensive but once you you try it for urself ull fully understand why. Couldnt be happyer! I recommend the soup of the day!

I've been meaning to try On A Roll for ages now, and I finally managed it today. What a brilliant place! Really friendly people (even on a damp day) and excellent food a decent prices. Option of inside seating as well as outside. Well worth a visit to the most easterly food van in the UK!

We were at the car dealership next door and wanted something quick to eat and saw that On a Roll was open. When we got there they were packing up for day as it was 2pm which is when they would normally close but the man on the outside grill said that it was no problem to order lunch and I am glad we did. The customer service was excellent and they went over and above to serve us lovely food, my son even got a little something extra on the side. Whilst we don't live in the area we would definitely recommend going there if you want a delicious burger and great service and would definitely go back if we visit Lowestoft again.

Decent grub. Massive selection of hot and cold. All cooked to order. Friendly service. Takeaway boxes were sturdy. Big portions.

My daughter and me tried it found bacon was very greasy. The rind very chewy would not go again maybe an off day

Amazing quality food, burgers are the best iv tasted, breads real bread from a bakery and you can tell the meat products are from a butchers. Cheap cheerful and not expensive and plenty of options on snacks food and drink. Customer service is quick and friendly would reccomend to anyone

Stopped there for breakfast this morning while strolling along the North Sea wall. There was six of us and two dogs. The owner was very welcoming and suggested we eat in the indoor part. What a surprise, very nicely laid out and very comfortable The food was excellent and good value, even had treats for the dogs. We have been several times before and will definately be returning.

I live in Lowestoft and I didn't know this place existed until I cycled past it today. Beautiful home made food in a cosy cafe. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors. I will be a regular now.

Great value, excellent quality lunch, went for the half pound burger but could hardly manage it. All cooked fresh but doesn't take too long.

A burger van with seating inside the building as well as outside in the sun. Well cooked food, generous portions at good prices. Friendly staff. Lovely

Richard and his team looked after our film crew with tasty catering and went beyond the call of duty to accommodate the needs of the 30 plus film crew on one of the coldest days of Dec 2017. Thank You.

I work near by to this place is great food is good and tasty also its open saturday and sunday mornings so its very handy when im goign to work and i did not want to make breakfast. Staff are friendly and resonably prices.

Called in today early and had a mountain of full English you won’t find better on the east coast and great hospitality too , great addition with the dock diner warm tv on and great tucker highly recommended

Called in today to get muscles lunch at his local burger van ordered 2 cheeseburgers only to be asked by the bloke cooking did I want cheese on them I thought mus be a local delicacy cheeseburgers with cheese good job i didn't want anything complicated like a prawn sandwich with prawns

Been here a few times now and tried a few different things from the menu. Always good quality well cooked and presented. Homemade burger are delicious. Staff are all very helpful and friendly. Inside seating area is a nice touch to. Open at weekends aswell which is unlike most burger vans and cafes.

Called in today to treat a mate to lunch on a Friday homemade burgers it was and very nice to just the job

Open early - great very large bacon mushroom baggette - quality bacon, mushroom roll - cheap - very good choice - lots of thought gone into this place. Nice inside area and toilets - nice ploughman take away box. A bit off the breaten track but Check it out if in the area - you'll be suprised how GOOD it is

Very nice food, very good price. Cooked in front of you by lovely friendly staff. Get my loyalty card stamped each week. £3.50 for a bacon and egg baguette. Loads of bacon in it, wonder how they do it for such a great price.

Have eaten here a few times, always something on the specials worth a try from philly steak to breakfast pies. All Cooked to perfection. And as for the garlic bread.... like crack cocaine... you'll be back for more

Attention to detail, we always descend in a group all wanting food cooked in different ways, bacon lightly done or super crispy, we have never had a bad meal and the staff and owner are always very welcoming and friendly, nothing is to much trouble an easy 5 stars
