Old Town Deli W4 in Hounslow

Very busy on a Friday night with a mixed audience from families with children to couples on dates. We were unfortunately squeezed in between 2 families and got noisy from 4 sets of handheld devices used for games or videos. I never stop to wonder why the parents don’t give their little ones headphones so the rest of the place can have a nice evening. Starters were really nice, grilled octopus and burrata. Can recommend both of them. Carbonara for main was not good at all. It looked like the dish had been sitting around for a while before it was brought out with the sauce starting to dry. Not a lot of flavour, lacking both salt and pepper. The guanciale on my dish was all fat. I know that cut is supposed to be fatty but lightly fried 0,5 inch lumps of fat was just disgusting! I told 2 members of staff who apologised and promised to deduct something from the bill. That didn’t happen… Not the normal experience but unfortunately the one I’m now left with and I’ll give it some time before coming back.

I was at the restaurant next door and came out and was waiting for an uber. Some customers left and told us it was the best ice cream on London. They could see us looking in bit we were trying to be good lol. We had a few mins left and we tried to go in. But it was shut! The elderly gentleman saw and came and let us in. He served us and we said we'd like a small cone each and we are happy to pay full price. He said no no you only pay for what you buy! Bless him. The ice cream was amazing! We paid and left but I came back a few mins later with a paper tip for him. It was late and he was still working so hard. He was a bit confused but I said it was for his great service. He seemed happy and was so nice. Will go there again when I am back in the area, my kids would eat half the shop doh! Thank you kindly sir!

We used to go to Casa Dino at least once a month and for whatever reason it fell out of the rotation. We had dinner there Friday night and it just reminded me what a gem of a place this is! The service is so caring and attentive - it really puts this place in a class by itself. The food is always stunning. I highly recommend Casa Dino for a nice evening out.

Lunch was great - food was all served perfectly and very tasty - good diverse menu - would highly recommend for lunch or dinner And 10/10 to the staff - service was excellent
