First time here and it was very pleasant. Nice tea and better cakes made it a good experience. Well worth a visit.

Our daughter fairly enjoyed her Nutella on toast wi marshmallows. Very cosy and homely cafe, playing dominoes and having something quick to eat.

This is a very nice option to spend a lovely afternoon! the staff is amazing a s very friendly, the coffee options are really good, the nicest thing about this coffee shop is that it feels home made, and nowadays that we are surrounded by big coffee companies this is something unique. The hot chocolate is perfect for a rainy afternoon and the white flat for the cold mornings, if you would like a snack you'll have several options like melted cheese sandwiches I recommend the smoke cheese and ham sandwich. For the pets lover this is a friendly coffee shop!

Been here in the past but this visit I have seen that it has went down hill. Coffee was very bad the place just felt dirty. And worst part is the dogs inside and even letting the dogs on the sofa the place smells of dog !

I was in a few weeks ago, after hearing old bean had new management. And wanted to give it a try. I went with a good friend and wasn’t disappointed. The vibe of the old bean, is lovely. So chilled and friendly, the food was excellent and the side salad was delicious. Coffee was good, but not my favourite. But that’s a personal thing, so I had a cup of tea. For my second cuppy and that was nice. I also took some cakes home, definitely fresh and homemade. And everyone thoroughly enjoyed them. I’m definitely coming back 💕

While wandering the streets of Arbroath, we stopped for a cuppa at Old Bean Coffee House. Lovely coffees are served here by friendly staff. A definite recommendation to pop in here!

I have visited this place twice over the last couple of years when in Scotland and I can safely say without fear of exaggeration that when it comes to coffee and luxuriously indulgent sweet treats this is the place. It's just lovely. The Sacred Grounds coffee beans are local and outstanding, the coffee made with care and uncomplicated. If you are within 50-100 miles drop in. I have drunk coffee all over the world and these guys have mastered it. Go there.

lovely quaint cafe with wooden tables, leather sofa's which were comfy and lots of quaint nick nacks for decorations. Had a lovely hot choclate to die for and macaroon slice which was lovely. Someone came in later carrying a large malteser cake it's just a pity she had not been in earlier....lol... The service was good and the place cheerful and friendly and the staff were wonderful. It;s tucked away around from the bus station and you have to go all way round as it is one way and just as you think you are on the bypass road again its on your left.......We will be back....

A shining gem in Arbroath. Really cosy little coffee shop with great atmosphere and decorated with style. Hot chocolate, coffee and cakes all excellent. Coffee is made with freshly ground beans in front of you. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area - so much better than the expensive equivalent you get in leading coffee chains.

Popped in while my car was in for an MOT, and was delighted with my cappuccino and caramel shortcake. Arbroath needs places like this offering good quality food and drink, and I'm glad they are keeping up with the times. The coffee was perfect, the cake was homemade and delicious, not your normal bulk made fayre. The service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. The decor was relaxed and comfortable, and I sat for an hour while I read my paper feeling very welcome and relaxed.

We really liked this wee cafe, it was full of locals, which is a good sign. Hubby had gluten free lentil soup, that he said was great. I had a very nice baked potato. The coffee was very good. Staff were really nice and welcoming. Loved the knitted cakes in the window.

I hate the fact they maKe your sandwiches with gloves on and then take your money without taking off their gloves they then go on to the next customer. Bread sometimes doesn't taste fresh. Seems to me than the service and hygiene have gone downhill since the new owners/staff have taken over.

Gorgeous rolls as always! Cannot fault, I particularly recommend their crispy chilli chicken filling with coleslaw, and bacon and egg roll
