OK Diner in Herefordshire, County of

Ordered and it took a long time to arrive - sausages are nothing but mechanically recovered meat slop and inedible in my opinion. The bacon had been overcooked and left hanging around for ages so it broke into pieces when I tried to put a fork into it. Baked beans rather sweet, black pudding a very thin slice fried to death and cheap barn eggs. Absolutely awful quality, badly cooked and the sausages were the worst I've had. I couldn't eat the bacon, sausages or black pudding which I had them remove from my plate when it arrived. I said I didn't wish to pay for the sausages or bacon which were a disgrace but was told they would only give 10% discount. Service was poor, they tried to say they were 'butchers sausages' when all meat comes from a butcher no matter how bad (and shame on the butcher) and I will NEVER be returning. The whole place looks grim and in need of decoration and a good tidy up. The theme of 50s/60s diner just doesn't work. Wish I didn't have to give this dump a single star.

The All-Day breakfast (with fried bread) was very well-cooked and delicious, and not swimming in grease. Will definitely go back if we are in the area.

firstly, cutlery was cheap, nasty and had not been washed properly. ordered a mexican vegetarian breakfast. what arrived was a vegetarian breakfast with the most anaemic baked beans i have ever seen and the same no-taste as the scrambled eggs. having already waited for 30 minutes, i didn't complain but pointed out the error at check-out. the guy i spoke to just took my money and completely ignored what i said. won't ever be going back again. disgusting!

One tuna salad one chicken and chips. Sorry this wasn't the best of salads. Tired dry cucumber. 80% lettuce tomato onion and no red pepper as described on the menu. If it's on the menu then it should be on the plate. I would have mentioned it but we were not asked if all was ok with our meals. There was a portion of tuna mayo included but for over 11 pound a salad I did expect a larger portion.

Needed to eat while charging car in adjacent car park. Although it was close to closing time, staff welcomed us warmly and we had a good value tasty meal while we waited.

Spotted this on the way to Welsh pool for our holiday, looking for a lunch break. Would highly recommend it, fab milkshakes, plenty to choose from and food delicious. It was so good we visited on the way home too for dinner

Great food, great decor but the staff were absolutely horrible. Had attitude when was asking questions about the menu and was reluctant to give me a new teacup as mine was dirty, which didn’t bother me but I thought why not let’s ask. Was rude to us when asking which plate was ours when giving us our food and we confused as we ordered the same thing just slightly different. We went today with 4 adults and 3 children. The food was lovely and the service by Finn was excellent. We would definitely recommend it.

We went for a quick bite, I ordered a chicken burger, mum ordered a beef burger and my brother got a hot dog. The restaurant was themed around American culture and had a good atmosphere. We waited 40 minutes for 3 meals, glad that they had a takeaway option. The waitresses were all really nice and welcoming.

Excellent & full plate too. Not sure i like the 50/60's music but quiet enough to ignore. Service was good & i really enjoyed the meal immensely, A mixed grill of burger, egg, bacon, sausages & lovely curly fries. Next time i'm up to Shrewsbury i'll stop there again for sure.

So disappointed! It looks great inside with the American diner style decor but the staff weren't very happy or helpful and the burgers were sad and dry. Such a shame as it could be so great if the food and service were on point.

We were looking for somewhere for breakfast on our way to North Wales and decided to stop here as we passed it many times On arrival, we were shown to our table and ordered a cook breakfast for my husband and bacon, eggs with fried potatoes for myself, i did ask if I could have one slice of toast with and pay a bit extra but was told I had to order the two slices of toast with preserves, so I left it. When the breakfasts came it was ok nothing special for the price just a basic cooked breakfast, I would have thought it would had come with hash browns or even the fried potatoes with. My Eggs and bacon was nice enough but bacon wasn't crispy. We also had coffee that came in small cups, we were only going to have the one cup, but after having the bill and seeing they charged £3.40 for a cup, I asked for refills as that was free. Atmosphere was good with the music but staff didn't seem that happy and you had to ask for a refill as they never came round and offer you any. I don't think we be calling in again as you can get better value breakfast somewhere else.

The pictures look deceiving to the actual food comes out the bacon wasn't the same one the menu I was not happy. The staff at the front kept coming over and the toilets were only one and not the cleanest

If I could give no stars I would have. Service was awful with all the staff looking busy doing nothing. Waited that long we actually walked out. Will not be going back.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The OK diner on the A49 in Leominster, Herefordshire is far from OK...An absolute rip off. £3.40 for a can of Dr. Pepper. The food is way over priced and meets extortionate ratings. Bland food that lacks appeal in taste and presentation. If you are the junkiest of junk food lovers and don’t mind paying too much for the junk on offer here, this is the place for you. Staff displayed a lack of interest and showed little in the way of hospitality. They advertise that kids eat free! THEY DON'T. The excessive prices is a masterclass in blatant extortion. I'm uncertain whether the extortionate prices are as a result of a recent price hike because the BBC recently filmed a scene for Dr Who? If it is, the gullible fans have gone now.

Terrible. Avoid at all costs. Poor service, not even a hello, just herded to a table. very rude. And… terrible food. Been to other diners before and this was awful. Don’t waste your time or money.

Friendly staff but the breakfast was a bit disappointing. It was the bigger one but only one slice of bacon. The vegetarian breakfast was also a bit small. The toilets needed a bit of attention. The service was quick though.

Horrendous customer service when I arrived with my husband and two children. Empty tables but told we had to wait in the doorway because the kitchen couldn’t cope with the 12 burgers they had on order. Rude lady and very uncomfortable atmosphere. Turned away another family and a man on his own. No offer of a drink or to be seated. We were happy to wait but it was obvious we weren’t welcome. Very upsetting for the kids who were excited!

Visited on our way through Leominster yesterday. We only had the bacon sandwich and the sausage sandwich. The food and coffee quality was good, well cooked, presented and no faults whatsoever. Nice polite staff so couldn't fault the experience. Will use again.

We were tickled to come across this place because we were hungry and needed a break. Authentic American menu and food. Enjoyed their BBQ pork sandwich and fries/chips. Don't bother ordering the breakfast burger , burger overcooked, egg overcooked, hash brown soggy with grease

The place was empty which reflects upon the poor service by laid back staff who clearly prioritise their activity on their mobile phones rather than customer service. When eventually the food arrived it was barely edible, even the card machine was on a go slow. Some good advice save your money don't bother

Wow! What can I say... Stopped for breakfast just to confirm our previous visit was a one off. Disappointed to say no improvement. Carpark had one car + 3 bikes so not busy. Occupants of the car (2) was waiting to be seated. We arrived and was told they had been waiting a long time. They left ... We noticed no one was doing any cooking also. We waited ,as we were totally ignored so we left.. It used to be busy and very good food. A Diner that now doesn't serve its purpose.. Needs improvement!

Almost empty but had to wait some time to be seated. Food was not worth the£30+ that we paid for it. Burgers were over cooked and dry which made the meal almost tasteless. Over £3 for a glass of Coke. Will not be going to a OK Diner again. Try a local pub much better value for a similar price.

If you can’t cook and have no clue how to eat healthily then perhaps this is marvellous, but seriously. OK Diner. Not OK at all. You could make a delicious meal made from organic ingredients for two people for the price of my meal. I won’t go back.

This diner is incredible! My family and I have been before, and we went again in January for my birthday. The food was tasty, the drinks were fabulous and the staff were lovely. The style is also pretty cool. It’s like a restaurant in America in the 1950’s style. The food did take a while, but that’s ok because it was absolutely incredible. My only problem would be the price. It is pretty expensive. Other than that, brilliant!

It was my grandson's 13th birthday and we asked if they had a table for us. There was 5 adults and 3 children. We said we understood we would have to sit on two different tables. They said they had tables for us but then someone else came up and asked us to wear our masks. Apart from two of us everyone was happy to wear a mask, the two that didn't were exempt. Despite explaining this to the Manager, who had then come along to intervene, she insisted on knowing why we were exempt. We told her that she needs to check the Government website which clearly states you do not have to give a reason and you do not have to wear a lanyard. Despite this she refused us entry, humiliated us in front of other diners and frankly it was out and out discrimination. We will not be going there again! Her attitude was completely unacceptable and she needs to get some more knowledge in respect of Covid rules, clearly as a Manager she should have known that you cannot discriminate against anyone, especially those who have a disability that might not be visible.

Driving home, stopped off at the OK Diner on the outskirts of Leominster for lunch.Good Covid precautions with social distancing, sanitizer, track & trace and masks.Kids eat free with adults eating - so good family value.Food quality was cooked to a price (curly fries were still raw inside) as you'd expect and was a bit bland. Only highlight was the good, but expensive milkshake.Staff were attentive, but a little rushed.So OK, but nothing special.

Good quality food served by excellent COVID-compliant staff. I had the bigger breakfast; my wife had the standard one. The food was hot, well cooked and not greasy - even the fried bread. Good sized helpings. Overall, a good experience.

We visited on a Saturday evening to catch up with friends. The Diner has had a facelift following floods and Covid and the extra fittings to the tables creating “booths” was a great addition. We enjoyed our food which came really quickly but for us- the unexpected highlight of the evening, was the chap who took our order. What an asset he is to the company! He made us laugh all evening especially asking my friend to “insert” his card into the machine. Just a quick bite out- but we had a lot of fun. We will be back!

Nice food but went with my 18 month old and we were not allowed a high chair because of ‘COVID’ so she had to stand to eat her dinner which was a nightmare. how are kids / toddlers supposed to eat their meals stood up?? We have been visiting the OK Diner as a family for the past ten years since it opened. We were so sorry that it closed due to flooding and were thrilled to see it re-open this week still offering it's £6 Burger Wednesday offer on the banner outside. So to support a local business we decided to visit on the first Wednesday when the offer was running. The new Covid procedures are effective and not too overbearing. The new staff are clearly finding their feet and we're mostly welcoming and efficient. However, when we tried to order we were told that new rules meant only those who had registered for the Rocks Loyalty card would get the Burger Wednesday offer. We downgraded our orders and did not order milkshakes or desserts as a result. The food was no better than OK as promised, but the Mushroom Swiss was dry with tasteless cheese and very bland. The chips were undercooked and a much smaller portion than previously provided, although we were paying full price. The best part of the meal was the Onion Ring stack. My comment on the Facebook page has been removed without any reply. When asked by staff if everything was OK with our meal, we said it was just OK, without any further enquiry into why it wasn't more satisfactory we left it at that and left having spent more than we expected but less than we would have done if the offer had been applied. Self-defeating marketing seems I'll advised when you've just re-opened after a long layoff. We have now joined the Rocks Loyalty scheme and will then get 15% off our next visit, which may be quite some time.
