It is a small place, but the service is very good and the truth is that the food is very tasty.

We took two takeaway menus because the small room was very busy. The weather was nice so no worries. This pulled pork is a surprising discovery. Absolutely worth testing.

Oink is a must-visit spot in Edinburgh for anyone craving an amazing pulled pork sandwich. I tried their classic sandwich with apple sauce, and it was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a quick but satisfying meal. If you love great food and great service, Oink is definitely worth a stop!

It's all a little salty, but after walking so hard to eat it, there's a lot of meat and it's very delicious!!

Good for trying, good as a snack, but not so much for lunch. The meat was good, but the complete sandwich was tasteless.

We were alone in the bar, nothing like the one on Victoria Street which is great, the sandwich is very delicious, I ordered it with apple and the filling was with onion, they give you a pork cut that is amazing, and some of us bought a bag of potatoes

If you want something quick and delicious to eat, this is your place. It's quite cheap, it's very tasty and the staff was friendly and explained everything to us very well. In this oink you can sit and eat. Keep in mind that it closes at 5pm unless the pork is gone before, it closes when the pork is gone, the best thing to do is eat it with apple sauce and haggies.

To stop and eat something and on top of that it's good and at a good price, it's the perfect option and even more so if you find a table inside like in our case. Super advisable

Pork sandwiches with onion and choice of sauces. Very good and cheap. The worst thing is that it is small and there is hardly any place to sit. Advisable.

Very nice and simple pulled pork sandwiches. The combo of medium brown bread, sage onion and home mustard mayo sauce was really great. The pork was extremely juicy, beyond my expectations. The bun was very soft. Great value for money too. Amazing spot, I can highly recommend!

It is much better to come to this branch instead of the other one that is more central because there is a place to sit and there is no wait. There are no vegetarian dishes but the few versions available are delicious. Good option to come after visiting the palace

Good place to eat if you want something quick. They slowly roast a suckling pig and put it in sandwiches of different sizes, sauces and breads, everything to choose from. For me, very tasty, it reminds me of the flavor of roast suckling pig that we are used to. To drink there or to take away.

Had the Oink size brown bread with haggis and apple sauce. Good taste and the pork was tender.

I think it's like a fast food chain, you can eat on the premises. It is pork and it is super crispy, very well cooked, they serve it crumbled in a bun with a sauce of your choice, I told the girl to choose her own. Very nice and friendly and speaks Spanish. Perfect for me. Thank you so much.

Not sure why it is so popular. Though it is a cool concept with the big in the window and the meat is really good. But the bun is just soaked through with meat juice so it's soggy and wet... Not sure if that could nr avoided if they weren't so busy, which it looked like they always were

This is some really good oink here, I passed by in the morning when for the walk on the hill and saw the pork being freshly pulled. Lovely! Service was fast

If you like meat and roast pork this is your place. You can't leave Edinburgh without trying an Oink. The first time I went I said that whenever I went to Edinburgh I would go and I have already gone 3 times. They put the meat in a kind of pita bread kebab roll and you choose the size and the complete ones. I always add applesauce and haggis and it is spectacular.

The sandwiches are delicious. The workers are very friendly and the service is fast.

It's so nice to go to a city and be able to easily get some real meat, as a snack; especially from a whole roasted hog, which is rare to find in a city centre. The service is very quick, which is what's needed when you're fighting impatience to get eating, as the meat and crackling seen on the hog looked so tasty. The menu options are good allowing opportunity for you to enhance your eats, with options for different or extra fillings. I had extra crackling. I can only hope London could get a branch, as it's nice to see local culture available for a food takeout option. If back in Edinburgh I'd definitely revisit without a thought, for a wholesome and relatively light eat! 🐷 😋

Not sure how, but the hog roast had no flavour. It felt like I was eating just a bun and some sauce :(

Probably scottish version of fast food - something different from the usual MacDonald or KFC. You can choose a variety of sauce and filling. The pork is tender and it taste good.

The store is small, but the food is delicious. I prefer the one in Canongate because it is not as crowded as the one in Victoria Street. The coffee is not bad either, and they have different sodas available.

They need more space for people to eat. This is definitely a meal you need to sit down to eat and there just were not enough tables or space.

This branch of Oink is on Canongate just up from the Scottish Parliament. As with the others in Edinburgh, you have a choice of 3 sandwiches, a small Piglet, medium Oink and large Grunter. They are all good and filled with pulled pork with a choice of sauces and stuffings.. The crackling which is delicious generally runs out after lunchtime, so make sure you get there in time! Drinks are also available plus limited seating inside.

The food is very delicious, they are like pork slices with different breads, sauces and dressings. Expensive like everything in the United Kingdom but they are good.

Sandwich is just okay, a bit dry. I paid extra for additional pieces of crackling and they were chewy inedible bits, not the crunchy pieces of crackling you want.

Pretty good sandwiches and good size. We opted for the largest sandwich and added huggies and apple sauce. Without a doubt we were completely right. I recommend it if you want to eat something quick at a good price.

Didn't realise they were open on Sunday's and needed a quick bite to eat so popped in. It was busy and had to queue for around ten minutes, but I didn't mind one bit. Bought two piglets, one with sage & onion and one with haggis for me and my partner, and they were delicious as always. For those that don't know, there's another Oink in Victoria Street with the same high level of service.. would highly recommend.

Very popular place. I had pulled pork roll of 160gms of meat with sage and apple stuffing and sweet chilli sauce. It had a small bit of crackling on top of the bun. It came wrapped in silver foil and I ordered a cup of tea. Cost me £10. I would have preferred sliced meat not shredded and some onion and tomato The meat is added from a big tin container that passers by can see and it draws them in The meat was very tender but I couldn't add salt which I would have preferred I had more sweet chilli sauce flavour than pork flavour. The juice from the meat made the roll quite soggy. I didn't realise how hungry I was. I washed my hands in their restroom which was very clean. After eating everything is is disposed of. When I left there was a queue out of the door. Decor is modern and fun

If you are in Edinburgh, you cannot miss trying their sandwiches. They are delicious and at affordable prices, but you have to go early, because when they run out of roast pork they close.

Tasty sandwich but a it was a bit soggy, soaking the bread and making it hard to distinguish the flavors. The mustard mayo could have been stronger to punch through the smoothness of the mayo. Would probably get a spicier spread next time for bigger flavors.

It doesn't have tables to sit at. More like a few. The shredded pork is very delicious and the service is fast and effective. A place to stop and recharge your batteries😝.

Delicious pork rolls in the centre of Edinburgh - we visited here twice on our mini break! Pork, haggis and apple sauce with extra crackling definitely hit the spot!

A pleasant experience that must be tried. They roast a pig, as if at a low temperature, they break it down and make a sandwich for you, with the meat, the sauce you ask for, etc... to enjoy. Quality fast food

What a bit of a disappointment. I went here with high expectations after seeing excellent reviews from gp’s to bloggers. It was a little busy which was a good sign but we didn’t have to wait long to be served. The shop is small but nicely designed and decorated. The girl that served us was lacking of a bit of enthusiasm and was a little dull but she did her job well enough. I went with the largest hog roast option with haggis and sage and onion stuffing, homemade sweet chilli sauce and cheese and crackling. So basically the full-shabang! My wife went with the smaller portion with BBQ sauce. The buns are just your basic white or brown rolls. They are very generous with their fillings. In my opinion the hog roast lacked a flavour. It was certainly juicy but I wasn’t blown away by any flavour. It was rather meh to be honest. The best bites were went I got some sweet chilli sauce. I didn’t even get much taste of the haggis which is notoriously flavoursome. As expected it was very messy but that’s not a criticism. My wife also thought her roll was bang average too. Overall it was a bit of a letdown especially at the price you pay.

Good sandwiches without being excellent. They are generous with the quantity of meat but it would be nice to perhaps add some raw vegetables inside to give them a little more pep. In addition, the prices still remain quite expensive.

Offer Gluten-Free option. Bowl of pulled pork with a little crackling. I got a meal deal with crisps and a drink. I went for the BBQ sauce as it came in a squirty bottle, I noticed the other sauce was in a bowl with spoon, which they used to cover the non GF bread. I took my own GF bread. Really chilled place for lunch.

After visiting the nearby Palace of Holyrood, we set off on foot along the Royal Mile. We passed this snack bar, which is part of a chain, but was completely unknown to us. There are only a few seats, but we were lucky. So I weighed the smallest portion with barbecue sauce. How to put together your meal is well described. The price was OK and I liked the stuffed bun. Of course it's a bit greasy, but that's the nature of things.

such a cute little place with the yummiest hog roast rolls! we got 2 medium rolls with sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce. they were around £7.20 each but the portion was very big and filling would definitely recommend <3 the staff were also super lovely and helpful :)

Ricos bocadillos de cerdo a buen precio

Fuimos a probar la carne de cerdo mechada y la verdad que muy bien. Es un bocadillo tipo hamburguesa pero con la carne de cerdo. Puedes elegir distintas salsas para echarle, en mi caso elegí la BBC y le daba el toque perfecto. La chica muy amable y atenta en su trabajo...como sólo eramos dos mesas la chica mientras no entraban más clientes limpiaba y recogía lo k daba muy buena imagen al local.

After walking to the Arthur’s Seat hill area, why not along the return path to stop by this little restaurant (farmers owned). They have Scottish hog roast for your events or big gatherings too.
