Have to say my first experience wasn't a very good one that was down to the service not the food. Since then though I've used it numerous time and always found it consistent. The haddock is lovely, more than your average size and cooked fresh, nice batter. Curry sauce is typically what you'd expect but does seem to carry a bit more heat to it than your average which is nice. Mushy peas again naturally what you'd expect , I say naturally cos I've had elsewhere and they must add food colouring or had some nuclear reaction. Fish & Chips served in a box with added slice of lemon & tartar sauce is a nice touch.

Oh my Cod is disrespectful to Christians , no surprise as the Welsh rejected Christianity and the Ten Commandments and someone said their nails were dirty and others said the fish was dry, I recommend public house food instead many pubs sell hot food at lunchtime and it's usually very nice perhaps that would be better.

Shocked considering the excellent reviews, dryest fish I have ever had, sausages tough on one side as they had been sat so long, very dissatisfied.

My daughter and I were staying in Oswestry for a week and she fancied a take away. She is a vegetarian and often fish and chip shops have a limited offering. Oh my cod was great! The food was freshly cooked and the Halloumi was great! Highly recommend!

Sadly, they were the worst fish and chips I have ever had. I only went there because Wots cooking were closed and my dad was excited to get some delivered. I came back out for the later opening as I was worried that at the end of the lunchtime, they might have been sitting there a while. I’m not normally a complainer but I went in as they opened, the two women barely spoke and were really unfriendly and miserable. When I got home I couldn’t eat them as they were so dry and small. They had clearly been cooked for the lunch shift and not fresh. Maybe just got a bad day but wouldn’t risk a return.

AVOID - It was disgusting, service was poor more bothered about their nails. The chips were okay but the pies both went in the bin as so hard and the one pie was dried up inside. The girl checked temp of pies by touch, no probe in sight.

Excellent chip shop. Was passing through and after reading reviews thought we would try. Fish and chips were fantastic and even had a pot of tartare sauce. Very good price too. Much cheaper than our local chippys. Good service from staff. Excellent

We drove 20 miles to try this out due to the number of 5⭐️ reviews. All three of us agreed that everything we ordered was the best version we’d ever had from a takeaway. All freshly prepared quickly and exactly as ordered. All the staff were friendly, especially the owner. The thing I am most disappointed about is that I can only give 5⭐️, we liked it so much we are going back again the day after to try something else. Keep up the good work.

Heard a lot about here with people saying it’s the best in town. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. Chips didn’t seem fresh at all and were quite greasy and limp with lots of tough bits. Curry sauce was, oddly, very sweet. I had a haddock which was cooked fresh, massive and absolutely beautiful so no problem there. Portions are very big so maybe, if you try it, one chips is enough for two. Service very efficient and friendly though one of the two girls seemed a bit annoyed with the owner for some reason. Will try it again in case the chips are just a bit poor on a one off occasion as most people rave about the place

Found this place after looking for a place to have dinner. Situated in the middle of a housing estate it was difficult to find but worth it. The food was freshly cooked and very good and the service was excellent. We ordered the food to takeaway and it was wrapped well and still hot when we got back to our hotel. Would recommend oh my god.

By far the best chippy around oswestry, amazing choice of chippy fav's as well as pizza, burgers and there chicken kebab in naan bread is to die for. Always a smike from the staff. Give it a go and im sure you will be back for more very soon.

Couldn't go wrong with this place, Always polite. Sometimes there's a wait but 100% worth it. Couldn't recommend this place enough, if you haven't tried this place when you have the chance to do it. The prices are not to high either.

Oh my it was hot. It was 34 outside though... Oh my food was really good. Had a fair old lump of fish (had to be cod) with plenty of chips. My parents recommend the place highly as they live locally and we were visiting. I want to say great job to the staff working in there on that hot evening a few weeks ago!

One of the good chippies in a very good catchment area. The staff are extremely friendly and polite. Reasonably priced and excellent quality. The parking is a help yourself free for all as its in a built up residential area. Takes cash only. The cash machine just a few shops away does charge £1-55 for a withdrawal , so come prepared. Enjoy.

We have come over to visit family from Australia, we haven’t been home for nearly 3 years and haven’t had a real chippy since then. I’m so glad my first chippy visit was with this place. Food was amazing and what a great guy the owner is. Well worth a ten thousand mile trip!

The typical English fish and chips. It was delicious, the Grande menu is hard to finish, (it is very complete) unless you are a good eater. There is too much. The sauce that can accompany them is very tasty. You can choose it. I didn't like the potatoes with sausages because the sausages were frankfurters and not the tasty English pub sausages. The right price. I don't know if you can pay with a card.

First time there tonight.. staff polite and courteous. Good priced and the food was absolutely 💯 delicious 😋 huge portions too. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK.. thankyou 🤗

Just had a lovely Cod and Chip, 2 kids nugget and chips and sausage and chips. All were lovely, the batter on the fish was light and fluffy. Highly recommend , I think we'll be visiting here again .. yummy

Absolutely great Fish and Chips plus a segment of lemon and small pot of tartar sauce, what is there not to like, keep up the great work.

Had a kebab from here and it was the best I've had. Staff are so friendly, welcoming and the food is always spot on.

Excellent service. Several times I've enjoyed good food here. Fish is good quality. Potato scallops are great in a bap as a sandwich for a tasty snack.

I would just like to say this is the best pizza I've ever had. Highly recommended. Definitely be coming back.

13/08/2020 Found this place on Internet had good reviews so as was staying overnight in area me and my friends drove to it 3 of us had mini fish chips gravy peas and was given a curry sauce to try the curry sauce was amazing best ever tasted was different to wot you normally get the gravy was a lovely rich taste and the chips were nice fish was lovely pure white and good size for mini one of us had pie and chips again couldnt fault me and my mate also had a pineapple fritter this was so juicy batter lovely crispy and not greasey at all best ever wish had orderd extra would definitely recommend carnt fault staff polite and friendly and owner happend to come from by us originally so got chatting away definitely will go back if in area again (sharon from midlands)
