I live very local but only been here a few times. Its been average or poor. My trip this evening was very poor. For two battered sausage with chips which is simple and basic from a chippy. The sausage was very bland and the batter may have been wrapped in a pancake. The chips were under cooked and tasted awful. The curry sauce waterey. I putthe sausage in the air fryer to try and salvage something to no avail. I want to support local but I won't make myself feel ill over it. Choose differently 😌

Changed hands to Nearest fish and chips. I can only assume its so it doesn't bring it up in the search bar. The worst fish and chips I have ever had! Batter was soggy, chips old and soggy, and it all tasted of nothing. Never again

This has been going down hill lately. But last night was the final straw. ordered 3 large fish and chips. Chips were hard and over cooked but it was the batter on the fish that was very doughy thick mush not at all crispy and the fish inside was over cooked and dry. Have they changed the ingredients or just poor cooking.

First visit since the change of ownership……not great. Chips were okay, however the fish was very poor. Soggy, chewy batter and not what we’re used to from there. Disappointing as it used to be lovely quality food.

bought hot chips from here and they where disgusting ,very cold and rock hard ...never again and lucky i not buy anything else ...stay away people dont waste your money

New management maybe but, no change to the stink of stale grease, fat & fish which still permeates the entire area. It is very off-putting & terribole for the local area. Certainly lives up to the title of UKs smelliest chippy.

My opinion and mine only...every business in the UK is struggling..I've seen restraunts close die get worse quality service issues but the change here has been rapid. I've always been a tad concerned over quality on some things batter being one. A few months or less ago the No cards came up and remains stating card machine fault make of that what you will. Onto food I go here for Cod Roe most often of bites mostly without chips as trying to cut down. Sadly since last visit prices through roof £12.00 large cod chips, 2 savaloys and a batter sausage £7.50 and two cod roes £5.00...Not all bought but the roe was so small whereas it was good and reasonable at £4.00 sadly my last visit!

We moved to the area 2 years ago. First year it was good food what’s happened. This is the last time we give them a chance. We just had the worst fish I’ve ever tasted. 25% dry gross fish 75% hard over cooked batter. Even our greedy cats didn’t want the fish and they love cheap aldi cat food. Chips were ok.

Not the best by far, regrettably I didn’t think to check the food hygiene rating before visiting either - 1 star - concerning. Not likely to visit again.

What happened! This used to be the best chippy around but the quality is dropping rapidly. The portions are getting smaller, the staff cannot cook the food properly and they keep getting the order wrong. The prices are far too high for mediocre food, there are better and cheaper chippies around, avoid!

Just had a fish and chips and was horrible wish I had looked on here before I went there. Chips are hard and horrible and fish wasn’t much better.

The reviews tell the tale of poor quality reflected the in the taste and polluted atmosphere suffered by the residents of upper hale. Jubilee celebration in the garden has been a no go area due to the filthy stench of stale food in rancid oil.

Thought I would pop in here again for fish and chips for the family, after a very disappointing a while ago. I wish I hadn't. The fish was terribly overcooked in greasy inedible batter. I won't be visiting a third time.

Called in at lunch time . Had a long wait then when we got home (2 minutes later) fish seams to be yesterday’s just reheated. Unable to eat We will never never set foot in that place again. Fish looks quite small for around £25.

We went there on Sunday and it was the best fish and chips we’ve ever had, the batter wasn’t greasy at all and was super crispy and the chips were great! It was so good in fact, that we went again Monday, when it wasn’t great at all and the batter was thin and soggy!

Liked the look of the place when driving past, thought I would give it a try. Arrived just after 5.00 pm Friday 19th November. The area was clean and the staff seemed helpful I ordered 2x pieces of Cod with 1 x portion of chips. The fish was "Awful" the batter was dry and crunchy, fish was also dry and without taste it looked as if two pieces had been pressed together and then fried as it looked like uncooked batter was between the layers. Cod is a chunky fish with white meat. This fish was grey and the flakes were small. As a sea fisherman I would consider this fish to be either a Whiting or a Pollock not what I would call Cod. I will never enter this establishment again. I strongly suggest you don't either.

Been here a few times as it is local. It's very hit and miss. Most misses is the fish....almost always overcooked and very dry. Had fish tonight and the ends were actually burnt through so the fish was inedible. Chips were undercooked and looked anemic....

Despite being served notice by the council regarding air pollution with the dreadful smell of oil polluting the local area, they are continuing to do so. Will not go there now and give them custom as they are making locals' lives so unbearable.

This business is still polluting the area homes & gardens with choking fumes from open to close every day, despite being served a notice to stop. Operators showing nothing but total disrespect to residents of the area since deliberately removing the filtration equipment when taking over. Every meal here literally chokes the neighbourhood daily, rendering private spaces untenable.

Cod, chips and mushy peas, delicious, love the complimentary wedge of lemon and tartar sauce, my second visit and will definitely be back.

Ordered two Cod in Battter. One was fine just as you would expect. Second was a clump of batter with bits sticking out. Looked nothing like the first piece. When cutting into it, no flakes of delicious Cod but 50% batter holding together clumps of fish bits.I won't be back but if you try them, check what they give you before leaving.

To be fair, decidedly average, I've been to much better chip shops than this. My biggest complaint tho - the smell! It stinks, I mean, really stinks. The surrounding area is bathed in what can only be describes as a burnt fat and rotting fish smell, which gets worse the hotter the weather, but to be fair, even in the depths of winter it's not very nice. I feel very sorry for anyone living near this. Have the owners not heard of filtration on the exhaust stack? If they upgrade the filtration, I might upgrade from one star to two!

Always recommended this place and had good fish and chips. Tonight ordered haddock and chips x 2 and got whiting. I have been eating f & c for 60years and lived about 200 yards from the original Harry Ramsdens. Either their suppliers fooling them or they’re trying to fool us. Very disappointing.

Wasn't sure what to expect just based on the way the place looks externally, its a bit of a tatty state for a new business. Have to agree with previous visitors, the fumes from this takeaway are very strong, over powering in fact when waiting in car park. Food was under par & reflected the stink. Not worth the car journey.

This place stinks. From the smell coming from the extractor outside I think it’s safe to say the oil hadn’t been changed, or, there’s no proper extractor filtration system. The residents must hate this being on their doorstep as it is eye watering and acrid. I could smell the bins as I was queuing outside too and decided not to go any further. We went somewhere else.

The smell from the extractor fab was enough to send us away again. The residents of the local area have my sympathies. We headed to the Heath End chip joint instead, far superior.

The monumentally strong stench of stale fat as you approach should be enough to warn you away. The foul fishy smell was choking around the area.

Service slow. Chips under-cooked. Seems to be more expensive than others in the area. Why would I go back?

Yet again another superb take-away meal. Large Cod and Chips (three times) and all absolutely superb and really tasty. We can highly recommend.

We couldn't ring our order through as the telephone number was incorrect. We had a largish order but it didn't faze the staff. Offered slices of lemon for the fish (never had that before) and included at no extra charge sachets of tartar sauce. The food was very nice and popular with our guys back in the office, will definitely visit again. I've got the phone number now ;)

When this place first opened, it was fantastic. Speaking to other locals,I find it hard to believe the latest reviews, The quality and the quantity is poor to say the least and it is not cheap. My latest visit will definitely be my last, like so many other local people, I will be using Heath End or Farnham. I do feel sorry for one of the staff, she is doing her very best and is let down by others.

My wife and I decided to have another Cod & Chip supper from Oceans 11. When I walked inside the place was quite empty and my order was taken, paid for and ready in approx 5 minutes. We went home and had our two Large Cod & Chips and it was just perfect. At so many other Fish and Chip shops I really can’t eat their batter. It is normally very fatty and not pleasant to eat. However the covering on the Fish (Cod) from Oceans 11 is absolutely perfect and I can actually eat the lot. It’s so light and tasty and certainly worth a visit if you have never had a takeaway from here.

It’s nice not to have to go further afield for fish and chips and, to top it off, the quality and portion size is excellent. These guys took over the old Shomraat restaurant which had been going downhill for years.

Myself and family are here on holiday, and took a chance on this take away, given some of the poor reviews.

1st time there and was looking forward to my dinner

Been there a few times for family fish n chips or a steak n kidney pie. Nice food, good chips, good service.

Had the plaice and chips and unfortunately it was the worst plaice I have ever had. I wanted skinless but they didn't have that so I just accepted that I would have to separate the fish off. Sadly the fish came with it folded over on itself, it was quite small but worst of all it was extremely thin. A big pile of batter and skin was left and I was still hungry something that the average chips didn't satisfy I'm afraid. Shame.

Lovely fish and chips a great thing to have locally when you need to take a break from the cooking. Good service you need to wait to have your fish cooked when you've ordered it, or at least I have. Perhaps I've just been lucky, fish sitting cooked under the warming tray loses its crunch.

We visited this takeaway fish and chip shop for the first time last night and were so impressed! The chips were the best I can remember- chips we’ve had from other places haven’t been cooked long enough, in order to increase output but these were cooked perfectly- they were properly crispy and delicious. The cod was delicious too. We received everything we ordered in a timely fashion (although personally, I would happily wait a couple more minutes for crispy chips) and they now have a card payment machine, so couldn’t be easier. Prices were very reasonable and I would particularly recommend the King Bites children’s meal- even for an adult. We will definitely be going back.

I was excited to see this place open as there is no decent chippy nearby.

Good fish and slightly soggy chips, but they forgot to give us our paid for mushy peas so a variable service revue sadly. Worth a visit.

Great new Fish and Chip Shop, been twice now and very good quality! Fish perfectly filleted and skinless, chips cooked in fresh oil.

After a disastrous date Night in a local pub this place saved the day. Great hot and fresh fish and chips (including a Lemon wedge - nice touch) and the service was great! Just be warned it cash only.

Tried a few times since opening and on the whole a nice fresh fish and chip dinner. The fish is always crisp and the prices are better than some of the other Farnham chippies. A new local favourite especially on the North side of Farnham,.

We thought we’d give the new Oceans 11 Fish Shop a try and we weren’t disappointed! It is excellent quality and much cheaper than the Fish and Chip shops in the centre of Farnham - 10/10

I called in here on Friday evening 8 Feb 2019 at 8pm. My wife had found a voucher in the local paper which offered buy one Fish and Chips and get the second Free. This new takeaway has only recently opened up and is on the site of the closed down Shomraat Restaurant. My first thought as I drove into the car park was how busy the place was. I think I took the last free space in the large car park. Others cars arrived and parked over the road in the Veterinarian car park. I went inside and found approx. 20 people of all ages waiting for their food orders. There are several places to sit down and wait and I went straight up to the counter and placed my order. Simples I thought! I waited for approx. 20 minutes and during that time several orders were dispatched. There was at least 7 staff working very efficiently that I could see. Business was really booming and many more people arrived. Some people left however when they found that they would only take cash and not a card. Eventually a lady called out an order and no one waiting claimed it but just all looked around at each other. This was a surprise to the staff and eventually they used some of the unclaimed order and added the battered sausage I had ordered to the bag and removed the curry sauce I had not ordered. It might be an idea for them moving forward to maybe take a name to place with the order at the time of taking your money. With so many orders on the go at the same time and some being ready for collection at different times a simple name taken would I am sure would assist greatly the process of handing out the orders. Anyway the two cod and chips plus the battered sausage and chips became available and I took them home. I will say the quality of the food and the batter was brilliant. We really enjoyed our food and would certainly use the place again. The food was hot, delicious and lots of it. We would certainly recommend this place and would use it again.
