Ocean City in North East Derbyshire

This Chinese has given me tears . I haven’t eaten all day and think right I’m gonna get a Chinese my fav takeaway and I get it and it does not taste right I get sweet and sour chicken and the chicken was so mushy i couldn’t eat it and I’m really passionate about a good Chinese therefore this lead to me in tears cos I was just so disappointed

Great food as always, great delivery service, but the girl taking the orders on the phone is SO rude!! She speaks so quickly she's barely understandable, rushes the order and is just silent when asked questions. Just awful customer service!

Absolutely shocking took 1 hour and 40 minutes to deliver food was cold forgot some of order I wouldn’t feed it my dog

Consistently very good however missing items this time. Not very happy as calling was not an option/did not answer. Missing average £5 on the order. Not very happy.

I'm a little disappointed as the portion size has diminished in recent weeks. We are all suffering as a result of the cost of life increases but I order a beef fried rice and previously there were proper pieces of beef in the dish. However, the last time I had this recently, the beef was cut into tiny pieces! As a result I tried a different Chinese takeaway tonight and the beef fried rice had proper pieces of beef in. Sadly Ocean City has lost my custom now

Charge for prawn crackers even though we made a large order and then forgot them! Dropped off after we’d finished the meal which is no use - nothing offered as an apology. Wasn’t especially impressed with it in any case so wouldn’t order from the future

Had food from here Sunday, both me and my wife ill Monday, had to come home from work vomiting, never again.

Tried their food last weekend and it’s one of best Chinese takeaway we’ve had for a long time. Service was good although there was a bit of waiting time than expected. Would definitely recommend!

Can’t fault it! Our local Chinese. Always piping hot, good pricing and tasty. Had a small hiccup with our order tonight where we had the wrong order upon getting home - this was rectified promptly and we were delivered the food we originally ordered free of charge.

Foods always been lovely, BUT this time we ordered I found a thick black hair in my chicken with pineapple. Phoned up, they apologized and offered me a free one next time. Great! However, the following week we ordered and I found another hair, this time a small thin black one! I phoned up with disbelief it's happened again and the manager didn't care. She basically called me a liar and said well it can't be possible. Well it was because I'd found it in my chicken!! Won't be ordering again. I said I wasn't after anything back but I just wanted to make them aware because it's not hygienic or nice to find that in your food. Clearly not following the right procedures!

You'll never enjoy another Chinese as much as Ocean City. By far the best Chinese around. Recomended to all family and friends who now feel the same.

Worst Chinese we've ever had,never ordering again

First time ordering as our usual Chinese was closed, so glad it was! I can honestly say this is the best Chinese we have had since moving to chesterfield, everything we ordered was cooked to perfection, everything was fresh and not greasy. Absolutely beautiful curry. I had salt and pepper chips and curry sauce and it was really tasty. The curry is vegan too!

Great Chinese restaurant, food is really top notch. Without any exaggeration this is the best Chinese food I’ve tasted anywhere.
