Great place. Just around the corner from our office and never realised. Will be back

***update december 2024. I do hope the July visit was just major hiccup, just visited last week and it was back up to their regular high standards. Delicious salads, pizza, pasta! Obicá has taken a turn for the worse in recent months. I work nearby and have been 5-6 times in the last year. My last visit on Tuesday 18th of July fell well below par. The food was OK, we ordered 5 small plates between 2 people (hummus, brushetta, salmon) which came quite quickly, but they were different to what we ordered. The waiter disappeared before we had a chance to query it and when another waitress was outside and we asked her about our meal as it appeared to be different to what we ordered she said this was what we ordered and it's 2 brushettas each(the reason we think the order was incorrect is because for brushetta, you need to pick 2 from a choice of 4 and we ordered different types, but the 2 plates that arrived were identical). Regardless, we ate it as at this point we had to rush back to work, asked for the bill which came to 63£ for the food + optional service charge of 13.5%.....unfortunately I think this pricing is outrageous and while I understand the premium on location, Inflation, cost of ingredients, it wasnt that long ago when a team lunch when 12 of us had a lovely big meal was 20-25 each (pizza/pasta etc) Unfortunately I don't think I will be returning any time soon.

Not a good experience. We had a large table without many other people in the restaurant and still received terrible service. No attention at all other than serving. Constantly had to look around and wave any wait staff to the table. They were too busy chatting at the bar. Onto the food. The 'Focaccia' was a shambles. Any Italians would have been offended. It was just cooked pizza dough. We had a prawn pasta and it was genuinely no better than a supermarket ready meal. Lacked any depth of flavour and finesse. The one saving grace was the pizza. Decent pizza with good crispy base (aka the 'focaccia').

Amazing atmosphere and food, i recommend this restaurant to everyone.It’s the perfect one especially if you are a burrata lover like me WOW

The mozzarella bar menu was fresh, ridiculously tasty and something new to tapas style dinning. Atmosphere was chic and welcoming. Very my style!! And a massive thank you to our host and waitress (Gloria) so friendly and made the whole experience!

What a great place to spend the day and have lunch. Fresh food and amazing cocktails made my day. Excellent service, friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Love it. I'll definitely be back. I highly recommend it!

The best authentic Italian meal i have ever had! Love this place and absolutely obsessed!

The only reason it’s not a one star is a nice pizza. The most outrageous service, we were ignored all night in an almost empty restaurant, and when we got the bill they tried to scam us by adding more expensive wine and blaming us we should have told them we need a house wine during a happy hour, not just house wine (they have only one such option in their menu)… Also, if you include service fee to the bill by default it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t provide any decent service.

Very nice central location, friendly personal. We tried the Mozzarella Bar, it has a large amount of snack with mozzarella and was delicious ! Great for a wine night 😀

Firstly I would like to give Adelso a shout out! He was absolutely brilliant and so attentive , the service he provided was excellent! The mozzarella bar is such a great festive treat! I especially enjoyed the date salad with walnuts and the different types of mozzarella cheese! Would recommend for a cute festive date night idea

Extremely disappointing today. My friend and I came for late lunch and ordered lasagna. Extremely dry - could tell it was just heated up. My friend also found some parchment paper in her food. We were probably the only ones there after busy lunch rush - once we reported it to the waitress, managers who sat few tables away didn’t even acknowledge us or apologise. We got 30% taken off the bill but as the restaurant was empty, least they could’ve done is spoken to us in person. I’ve visited here during lunch before and the services was ok. I guess once lunch is over so is their shift.

The only part of the meal that arrived quickly, was the bill. Took ages to get served, even longer for the food to arrive. Staff completely disinterested in guests. Restaurant was empty and we still got ignored.

We had lunch here recently and I felt that it was a pretty average experience. Pizza was cold, bill was wrong - few things that could be improved.

Very corporate but a great Italian menu especially if you like fresh cheese dishes. Will be back!!

Always excellent food, however, it gets really loud at lunch time.

Good food and good service, but the manager shouted and made inappropriate gestures towards the employees even though there were costumes in the restaurant, it left a bitter impression and i don’t think i will be back there.

Very decent food and excellent service

I ordered the Prosciutto di Parma which was disappointing. The mozzarella had a very strong flavour, the tomato sauce was almost like red water which made the dough soggy. The prosciutto and rockets were decent. I wouldn’t recommend this, Prezzo has a better version, their Posh Pepperoni and are flexible in adding fresh chilli. Also, I always drink bottled water but accepted their tap water which had a random brown particle. The waitress tried to claim it was possibly food which wasn’t true as I poured the water into a cup and looked down to see it. For an authentic Italian restaurant in the City of London, it seems more aesthetic based and was absolutely disappointing. Back to Prezzo for me!

Dinner with a dear friend with great food, wine and service. Only complaint was how loud the music was playing. Made it hard to hear each other.

So..first bad dining experience in London this trip. When I asked what kind of pasta the cacio e pepe was served with, I got a surly “spaghetti.” Not traditional, and I despise “spaghetti”, unless it’s the traditional alla chittara. So I decided on the ravioli. The room temperature “bread assortment” (filled with 6 small pieces of unremarkable breads), arrived first. No oil, butter, etc. Just plain, cool, unremarkable bread. Then the mains arrived. The ravioli were so undercooked (the edges were still hard)/underfilled (I was amazed you could actually make ravioli that flat!), barely warmer than room temperature, the sauce on the ravioli that had cooked for perhaps 15 minutes (resembling catsup in its sweetness more than anything served in Italian cuisine) the too-finely-grated “Romano” (likely domestic alla Romano, certainly not locatelli or any other cheese older than…well…2024). Note: the only thing that made the ravioli palatable was adding this unremarkable grated cheese.All of it. The two teaspoons worth provided. I would have made mention of something/anything to our server, but he disappeared and only reappeared when we asked for the check. However, my spouse enjoyed his pizza so there’s that. The best part? The part where I thought those chunks on top of the ravioli were Romano or Gorgonzola or the like? BREAD CRUMBS. BREAD. CRUMBS ON RAVIOLI The staff were surly and uncommunicative. Maybe they, as well as the chef, were hungover from celebrating as this was on New Year’s Day. Note to owners: consider closing next year. Or just consider closing period.

An interesting “Italian” - not the usual dishes unfortunately. Very focused on mozzarella cheese. Not the easiest menu to navigate However, some items were very tasty - the focaccia bread was super and the seafood tagiolini was very good.

Lovely staff and a great atmosphere.... they fitted us into a nice table and we're so helpful with menu choices.

Decent food but nothing special. Slow service

One of the best venues in London for a works do / meeting. Great food and plentiful. Service was brilliant. We couldn't believe the waitress remembered all of our meals without writing down. Would have been nice to get offered more drinks, but did get whenever we caught someone's attention. Also shame high service charge naturally added, would have preferred to have left a tip. Would reccomend though, great place. 👍.

Nice place to grab a drink and a bite with workmates. Food was good with a wide selection to choose from. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Great service and the food was served very quickly. Ordered the burrata for starters, which was nice but nothing amazing. I ordered the Tagliolini with truffle, which was unfortunately a letdown. Pasta was cooked well but it was almost completely sauceless, and almost no truffle flavour, save for the shavings on top.

This is a good branch of the chain if you're ever near St Paul's. Food is consistent with all the other restaurants and reasonably priced.

I had a Prosciutto Pizza delivered and it was the saddest and most expensive pizza I’ve ever had. For some reason, they sent the prosciutto separate from the pizza. The pizza was completely cold. Definitely not worth £18, it was an absolute rip off. The pizza was kinda ok flavour-wise, but it was cold and super expensive. From the kind of place, I expected much more…

It was lovely. Service was very attentive. Good menu but the music was a little loud for my liking especially as it got busier.

Although a chain it is a dependable Italian focusing on mozzarella. Make sure you order appetisers cause they are the star of the how healre. The only dish that I ordered the veal was sooo rich and tasty but without any bread or carb that I had to make some remarks to the waiter on how it can be served like that. But that was maybe me expecting something more of a full dish instead of just protein. Modern electric music and a dark decor makes this very chic with relatively affordable prices compared to the location next to St Paul's and the city.

They had ran out pizza when we arrived! We asked if we could sit in a booth as they were nearly all empty, but were told that we couldn't because they were reserved. We sat on a smaller table in a busy area and the booths stayed empty all night. The food itself was mediocre and the portions were small. Only nice thing was the dessert.

My partner, I and friends celebrated our engagement here. This was immediately announced round the corner from butchers hall. The waitress on the door couldn't offer us anything special for this great occassion. Another waitress provided us with pictures and prosecco.

Not impressed. This was not my idea to go here to be honest I typically like to do a lot of research before eating at an Italian restaurants for the reasons you will see. They didn’t have Mozzarella di Buffalo even though they are a mozzarella bar so we had to settle for smoked mozzarella for the Revisted Caprese. I was very nervous on what to order on the menu but the waitress explained only the lasagna noodles were made in house. So I got lasagna. Let me just say it tasted as if I went to the store and got Hamburger Helper Lasagna. I was not impressed at all with the quality or the flavor. The noodle was almost like mush. Not good. I gave it a two stars for a couple people enjoyed their meal that I was with, and I know for certain my friend beside of me got the Seabass and enjoyed it. Then someone else got Potato Gnocchi and also enjoyed their meal as well.

Whole experience was amazing! Beautiful looking restaurant and atmosphere was very pleasant. Whilst a little pricier, it is completely worth the money. Fresh ingredients and the mozzarella bar is a fun and a unique twist. Shared the prosciutto and nduja pizza. Highly recommended and will be back! Orange juice is fantastic btw. Only minor complaint is the tables were a little small, however this was not a real issue at all and more just not picking. Equally there are some booth areas to request which have more space.

Me and my partner have booked this place to spend our first valentines together. We booked on open table which was super easy. The host was very accommodating as we were running a little bit late, but that wasn’t a problem. Although from there it started going down the hill. Don’t get me wrong all staff are very friendly and welcoming and it’s nothing to do with the service provided. We were just looking forward to delicious Italian food, but got disappointed. We have purchased the valentines 3 course meal (£90 for 2 people). The meals sounded nice but unfortunately did not match the expectations. The starters were meh. Nothing exciting. My parter got a full plate of ham and very gooey mozzarella, and I opted out for a vegetarian option which was a little bit nicer as it was warm and had more flavour to it. I can’t remember the name of the mains, but it was pasta with duck meat. Which ended up being a sauceless plate of pasta and cooked meat. Not a drop of sauce or any flavour to it. Sadly I didn’t finish my plate. The desserts definitely saved the night for us, but it’s a shame that we wasted all that money on something that we didn’t enjoy😕

Scammers! I was charged for things I didn't order. We didn't order water or pizza. I was charged £21.5 more than I should have paid!! disgrace.

An absolute must for people wanting an authentic Neapolitan pizza in the heart of London. They use the proper mozzarella di bufula DOP and it really is not noticeable from the extra flavour and texture it provides. The pizzas are cooked in a proper pizza oven and they are ready in minutes after going in, meaning service is quick and efficient. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced considering the location and quality. I would throughly recommend a visit.

Horrible supervisor, he was shouting on a very new Waiter with grey color hair. He should be removed from this job. It's was totally unacceptable. The Management must look into the matter

It was extremely disappointing to discover that Carbonara is made with cream (rather than eggs). Obica in Italy is a proper Italian restaurant and I would expect the same level even abroad.

Good menu and nice food but a few items not available on the day.

At first there was no one to welcome us to some of the tables outside, we chose a table on our own and waited for the menu. A water approached the table with menus, we were ready to order drinks so we did. In a couple of minutes another waitress came, and explained that they don't serve food outside and if we would like meals we will have to go inside. We followed her to a table near by the entrance of the restaurant as she told us "we are full of bookings today, that is the only table I can sit you on.". We agreed as we were very hungry and at this stage we were in the restaurant for 15 minutes. We sat on the new table and shortly after that we realised that every time the entrance door is open a the air conditioner is blowing cool air over my head, shoulders and back, so i started getting frustrated. They took the food order and we started waiting, in 10 minutes I felt freezing because of the air conditioning and I asked the waitress if possible to turn off the unit that is blowing over my head. She went to ask someone to do it and apparently that was connected to the door mechanism, so it was impossible to be turned off... That was the moment when she asked us if we would like to change our table for a second time this evening. Finally the last table was okay. The food then came, it was okay, nothing special. Because of this "great" service, a service charge of 12.5% was calculated in the bill anyway. I doubt that I'm going to this brand again, but as it was my first time visiting Obica, I will think carefully before visiting another branch as well.

Cibo buono e genuino, Mozzarella veramente buona, pizza cotta e condita a regola d'arte, insalate fresche e gustose, locale curato, personale solare, carta del vino azzeccata... da Italiano e da Romano se magna bene e se spende il giusto 🍾🥂.

I have ordered a take away salad from here as I know they have good quality. I am not used to complain about quantities but the amount of salad was such a rip off i could not sto myself from reviewing this. £19.50... Really?!?!

We came here with a large group and were very impressed with overall quality! The decor and vibe were very nice, and service excellent... we started with the Mozzarella Bar Experience and was the highlight of the meal... The only reason for 4 stars was that my entree (spaghetti alla chitarra) was very average. My wife had the Carbonara which was fantastic!

I enjoyed my time here. We were a huge group and had to have different long tables. Nonetheless, the service was spot on, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the food was amazing! Everybody enjoyed the food, which is quite a big thing since we were such a diverse group! The drinks are also amazing! I had a long island was buzzed, just how I like it🥳 Only thing, servings were relatively small, except the pizzas😋

The bar is on one side and the restaurant on the other. Same music, a little loud for dinner for me, but I was told that there was a special event. The menu says that you can have the small plates by themselves or with cheese, but my Focaccia was really dry on its own. The sauce was minimalist on the tortellini. Good service. The waitress was attentive to my needs. The entrance is accessible for mobility-impaired people.

Had a dinner for 1 and the service was great. Food was tasty and although I was eating alone the staff made sure it was a pleasant experience and i wasnt alone. A lovely evening.

Very tasty but sadly out of some things for the player so substitutions. No issue with service at all but did feel a bit like going through the motions without much enthusiasm.

Lovely spot for delicious Italian dishes. The smoked vegetables on the pizza were amazing and Beetroot Hummus was a win. Nice outdoor seating to dine in the sunshine.

Food was terrible. Could not finish either my mains or dessert. Mains was tagliatelle duck ragu....it was a bowl of boiled pasta and boiled minced duck. Not a single drop of rage sauce. Dessert tiramasu was a bowl of gooey cream with paper-thin sponge at bottom but lots of bitter coffee sprinkled on the top

Their Barbera wine was lovely. The rosemary bread gorgeous as always. They have a good few options for a vegan guest despite being a mozarella cheese oriented joint. Myself I enjoyed the sliced lamb with very colourful salad.
