Obica Mozzarella Bar - Poland Street in City of London, Westminster

Visited March 2025 as a group of three. The atmosphere of the restaurant is ok, decent drink variety but that's more or less where the positives end. Possibly one of the worst restaurant meals I've had in my entire life, ordered the "chianina beef straccetti" which was giant mistake. Very poor quality food, mediocre service and extremely overpriced. Genuinely mind blown that this place is still in business.

Terrible service. Was asked 3 times if they could clear out plates, all three times we were still eating/ drinking wine and was not ready for our plates to be cleared. Ordered bread as a starter that came out with our mains and was stale. We were sat next to the bar where all staff were constantly talking about their private life and other customers (guessing if people were on they’re first date) this was very inappropriate and customers should not be hearing these conversations. Toilets were truly disgusting with only one toilet being usable (others had period blood covering the entire toilet). Food was bland and overpriced. Only good aspect was the balsamic vinegar. Do not recommend.

La comida era deliciosa. Tomé ensalada de burrato y peras. A todos nos encantó la focacina. Los camareros son muy agradables. El espacio es un poco estrecho.

In Soho and can't be bothered with the 90 minute wait at Pizza Pilgrims or Franco Manca? Come here instead. Fantastic pizza.

Very tasty food! Went for lunch with my friends and we were not disappointed! The pizza is super tasty and the pasta as well. We also tried cocktails which were top tier. I would totally recommend.

I came here to try the Mozzarella platter since is their specialty, but not only the mozzarella options were so tasty, the pizza and dessert brought the taste of Italy just right! We choose the Gran degustazione di Mozzarelle platter. Prosciutto di Parma DOP pizza, Lasagna and a mix of desserts (including of course Tiramisu). Everything reasonably priced, great ambience and lovely patient staff. Only thing to improve is the volume of the music, it felt a bit too loud at times, but it could also be due to the place we were sitting. I would definitely recommend this place for Italian food lovers!

The atmosphere was super warm in one of the best areas of London. The service was very friendly, the brunch was super complete. We ordered the English breakfast, French toast and Eggs Benedict. Everything was spectacular! Also the tiramisu is highly recommended!

The fresh pasta was very nice. However, that’s pretty much the only good thing. We waited an extra 5 min for a table by the window and then proceeded to be given a table around the back. My drink came with the wrong tonic water which wasn’t even mentioned by the waitress. They had already sold out of the croquettes by 7:15, which we weren’t told when we sat down. The salmon fillet was dry and didn’t have much flavour. And then to top it off, the waitress took away my drink before I had finished it. Will not be going back.

Nuestra reserva fue para el 18 : 30 pero no obtuvimos nuestro plato principal hasta el 20 : 00 . Una hora y media para hacer 4 platos de pasta y 2 pescados. El restaurante ni siquiera estaba ocupado siendo un miércoles por la noche. El entrante de mozarella que costó £ 48 no tenía una gota de aceite de oliva! ! solo dos bolas de mozarella unos trozos de embutidos trozos y pan plano. Extremadamente caro por lo que es. Los platos principales no tenían condimento y cometieron un error en uno de los pedidos. La cocina no estaba dispuesta a rectificarlo y solo dejó unos kilos. Después de esperar una hora y media para nuestro plato principal llegaron por etapas y para cuando todos teníamos nuestra comida algunos comen una comida fría. Estaba sentado junto a la puerta de la cocina y durante al menos 1 hora no entró comida por esa puerta! y cuando finalmente había tenido suficiente de esperar la cocina todavía no podía producir 6 platos de una sola vez! ! El tiramissu también muy decepcionante. Teniendo en cuenta que es un restaurante italiano, el tiramissu no tenía licor de café. No sé cómo se llama eso. ¿Galletas con crema? Absolutamente decepcionante. No recomendaría este restaurante a nadie.

Obica has been an old favourite, but I'd never been to the Poland Street branch before. Didn't disappoint, dependable as always. I wish they'd mark out vegetarian dishes more clearly, especially considering most of the dishes are peppered with Italian terms which I doubt the average Londoner will be familiar with.

Food wasn’t hot enough for our liking. Lovely food but such a shame it wasn’t hotter. First mouthful was warm so just got colder. Pizza was oily, which made the thin base even floppier. Lack of heat stopped the cheese being stretchy. Just firmed up and slide off. Service charge was excessive and the manager got disgruntled when we asked to have it removed. We wanted to tip the lovely waitress personally but his behaviour was unnecessary.

The pizza here is hands down the best in Soho! I had the salame pizza, and it was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of flavor. The Focaccina Origano was also a pleasant surprise—so delicious. The Burrata and Mozzarella Pear Salad was a great mix of fresh flavors. Highly recommend!

I’m not kidding when I say this, but these really are the best pizzas in soho!! Infact, all of the food was epic. I highly recommend if you’re looking for fresh cooked Italian foods.

The Best Pizza in Soho! Last Wednesday, I had the pleasure of attending Obica in Poland Street, Soho. A true celebration of authentic flavours and seasonal ingredients, filled with tradition and excellence. The new menu was absolutely delightful, showcasing the best of the season with carefully crafted dishes. I highly recommend a visit – an unmissable experience for food lovers!

Esta era nuestra primera vez aquí, y no me apresuraría a regresar. Los entrantes llegaron, pero apenas estaban calientes, y se lo mencioné a la camarera. Esperamos bastante tiempo para el plato principal, y adivina qué, eso fue cálido también. También tuvimos una copa de vino cada uno, y un poco de agua embotellada. La comida sabía bien, y el servicio estaba bien, pero teniendo todo en cuenta, fue una experiencia cara que no nos gustaría repetir.

Went today for brunch and it was such a wonderful time. Beautiful atmosphere and views from the window. We had English breakfast, French toast and scrambled eggs on toast and it was just delicious tasty and good quality ingredients. We will come back for sure. Thank you to all the team of the restaurant for such an amazing service.

We had a great lunch in Obicá - just came by the place and it looked good. We had the Cacio à pepe and a Pizza Margherita and it was good, you could feel that all the ingredients are fresh. The service is fair but the food was a bit pricy. The espresso is of quality.

We enjoyed lunch with my friend! It was only £17.50 per person for two courses — very nice! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I was celebrating my birthday, and they even gave us a small complimentary treat. Would totally recommend;) Special thank to Fatmir. We will be back!

I had an amazing experience at Obica Mozzarella Bar in Soho! The service was top-notch from start to finish, with a warm welcome and attentive staff. The food was outstanding – we ordered the ALICI pizza with organic tomato, stracciatella, and yellow Datterini tomatoes, and the FRESH TORTELLONI filled with ricotta and artichokes, both of which were delicious. The wine selection is extensive, perfect for an Italian dining experience. The cozy and stylish ambiance added to our enjoyment, and the dessert trio, especially the tiramisu, was heavenly. Highly recommended!

It serves the classic English full breakfast, eggs beneditcs and Scrambled eggs on toast but also lunch menu starting at 12nn. We’ve tried the signature BUFALA DOP PIZZA with Mozzarella di Bufala, Organic Tomato, Fresh Basil, CARBONARA and also the tiramisu! The carbonara was made with Egg yolk, Pecorino Romano DOP, Crispy Guanciale, and some Black Pepper. It’s their 20th anniversary so they’ve launched the special Potato Croquettes which has the Santorella Artisanal Mortadella and Ricotta di Bufala, served with delicious Bell Pepper ketchup.

Lovely setting and particularly lovely staff. The tomato prosciutto was absolutely delicious, the moretti beer nice and cold. Service was excellent and the restaurant is just lovely. The mains were good, not tasty but ok.

Popped in for lunch just expecting a regular meal, ended up having the best carbonara we’ve ever had and an incredible pizza! We’ll be back. Great for a date night. Staff was very kind and accommodating as well.

Had simple margarita pizza, was nice and light. The chairs are highly uncomfortable though. Quite expensive won’t be back.

Main came out cold, the first tiramisu I was give was off and when I complained they said different chef's make it differently so they would swap it for a one by another chef! I do not recommend and will never return.

Super tasting food at this venue. The hummus had a very interesting flavour with various types of bread and there was also a tomato-based starter which was delicious. The pasta dishes were also very enjoyable, slightly unusual but very tasty. The service was prompt and very friendly, and the decor fresh and pleasant. Four stars rather than five because of the overpowering music! I don’t think you need a live guy singing with sound system on a Sunday lunchtime in a smallish restaurant less than half full (we were early for lunch). Conversation first with background music, please, and not live music at this volume and not at lunchtime. Otherwise, an excellent place to eat.

We stopped by by chance, attracted by the decoration of the restaurant, and the least we can say is that we were not disappointed ☺️ We chose the menu of the day, tomato, mozzarella and raw ham salad as a starter, then pizza and eggplant alla parmigiana as a main course. The salad was perfectly seasoned, the eggplants and the pizza succulent! We were delighted with our lunch 😋 The service was fast and quality, our waitress very attentive and attentive. We can only recommend that you stop there ^^

Came for an after dinner coffee and the service was great. Sat in some comfortable chairs by the window and relaxed a while. Wish I wasn’t so full from dinner prior that I would’ve ordered some mozzarella!

Obica is a restaurant we know from Italy and whose tastes we love very much. We definitely stop by every time we go to London. Unfortunately, sometimes there may be problems in the service. This time the service was improved. The food and especially the pizza were very, very good.

Was looking for a last minute lunch place and this spotted outdoor dining area so popped over as the weather was lovely. We chose the 2 course set menu and it totally delivered Mates pumpkin soup was lovely my aged meat platter delicious I don't think I've had a better pizza outside of Italy Service was excellent The wine was pricey at £36 for cheapest bottle but hey ho! Really lovely experience and I'll definitely be back

The food is absolutely delicious! The flavors, the dressing, everything was great. And the server was incredibly kind. A lunch menu is offered at £16.50 which is quite affordable and the quantities are very delicious. The “à la carte” is a little more expensive but the quality is there.

Lovely dining experience...yummy food and portion size was quite good..DJ played some amazing groovy music... Staff were efficient and quick service... Enjoyed our experience! Its gonna be our go to place from now on during our many shopping spree trips 😜

The food was awful, the salad had dirty greens, carbonara with no egg, wrong pasta and no flavour at all. I don't recommend it.

I had a disappointing experience at Obica Mozzarella Bar. The chicken salad lacked flavor and freshness, with even the baby salad roots having traces of dirt. Overall, it felt like a waste of money. The mananger apologized and said such things happen. Stay away!

Amazing Italian food and a very good selection of wine.

Ideal place for a quiet lunch in busy Soho. I work locally and this is my go to place for lunch. Their lunch menu is unbeatable: starter + main for less than 20£ is incredibly good value for money in Soho 💰 I keep coming, it’s never full which is great for me and my wallet i really don’t understand why it’s not more popular given the alternatives in the area! 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been here several times but this was my worst experience. The staff were terrible. They all kept staring at us but not serving us. We even had to ask twice for our mains to even be brought out. We waited so long for someone to offer us another drink or the bill, no one came so we actually had to go up to the counter. They were so dismissive and rude when we were paying too. The table beside us were getting so much good service and water refills etc. which made us question what was wrong with us? It was really uncomfortable and hostile and I won’t be going back

Came across this lovely place by chance whilst shopping on Oxford Street. What a find! A great welcome, fantastic service and the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. They offer the option of small portion desserts which was the perfect way to finish our meal. Really enjoyed sharing a bottle of Sicilian white wine which complimented the fresh ravioli perfectly. Highly recommended!

Nice Italian restaurant specialising in mozzarella. Good traditional breads, olives, pastas, pizzas etc. A bit overpriced for what you get but I guess it is London. Highly recommend the tiramisu. The large portion is huge. Fine to share between 2!

Expected a lot more from restaurant in central London. Pasta 1.5/5 , desserts 3/5. If you ask to spit the bill, they will forget about it. If you come here drunk it would be fine. Don’t recommend.

A busy Italian place in Soho and service was certainly decent and friendly. Food was OK but not outstanding, the Calzone pizza that I had was barely warm enough but tasted nice. Overall an OK establishment but probably not somewhere I would go to again when there’s a wealth of other choices nearby.
