Horrible and stale, poor-quality Italian food! I ordered shrimp pasta, and this is the only shrimp I found on my plate! The pasta was clearly undercooked – and I know what ‘al dente’ means. For £15, it’s a shame. The person who cooked looked like he had no idea what he was doing

We dined at Pizza e Pasta in Eataly to celebrate a friends birthday. Overall, I would to have to say that the experience was an average one. Taking in to account the expectations you might have in going to dine at one of the restaurants in Eataly, I personally expected a bit more. The service was average, nothing that would make it stand out but equally I can't say that it was bad. For me the biggest let down was the food, its a shame to say that it was pretty average and not at all what you would expect. We shared the Fritti starter (arancini which was quite dry, stuffed courgette flower and calamari) and had a pasta dish each and they were under-seasoned and lacking in salt. We also had desserts which were the best part of the meal- the lemon tart was very good so I would recommend that. As a whole, I think that the food doesn't live up to the expectations of dining in Eataly and doesn't leave you feeling that you've had an authentic Italian meal. Taking into consideration the price you pay you might be more satisfied dining elsewhere.

Eataly is one of our favorite places. It is the one place we try and hit in any country as its fun to see how each one is. The Eataly in London has been our favorite so far out of the several we have been to. Francisco and Sonya even made it extra special by offering for our kids to go into the pizza kitchen and make their own pizzas (we did not order these and we were not charged for them) - as kids who have been to eataly in a few different countries this made this one extra special. If you like authentic and high quality italian food, then eataly is always an easy choice.

I might say it’s too overrated. The pizza is not freshly baked and you can feel the hardness of the dough. Pasta is fine nothings special. The coffee is too pricey for the same taste as the other coffee brands with cheaper price.

Wow…… what a setting to have a fine dining meal. I had the: Crispy Polenta Leaves (Shards of Crisps) for an alternative to bread were divine. Carpaccio of Sea-bass was a taste sensation. Lamb Cutlets with the stand out accompaniment, smoked aubergine puree. I must compliment as well the new potatoes and vegetables. The chocolate cake was nice, but the least stand out dish. It’s a shame the service did not follow through from the greeting from the welcome. But not a criticism just advice for future improvements.

I had such a great time at the pizza masterclass at The Pizza Masterclass in Eataly London. Chef Dimitris Christou was absolutely brilliant — super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he does. He walked us through everything step by step, from mixing and kneading the dough to stretching it out and adding toppings. It was hands-on and really fun, and he made everyone feel comfortable, even if you’d never made pizza before. The best part? Getting to make (and eat!) your own pizza fresh out of the oven. Mine actually turned out amazing, and I honestly credit Dimitris’s guidance for that. Such a fun and tasty experience, I left with a full belly, new skills, and a big smile. Highly recommend it if you’re into food or just want to try something different in London.

I went to the restaurant upstairs (Pasta e pizza) giving for granted that the food would be at least acceptable. Boy, was I wrong... The fiori di zucca were the worst I've ever had, literally soaked in very old oil, burnt and impossible to digest. Pasta was overcooked and bland. Service was unfriendly and hasty. A big nope.

It's a shame that my favourite place to visit every time I go to Liverpool Street will be no more Eataly. We usually go there to have a nice coffee and dessert. Sadly last Saturday 17th of may as usual my husband went to order and I wanted a herbal tea this time and dessert. Surprisingly when my husband came with my order and I looked at the tea the bag wasn't inside the mug, So I put it in, but the water wasn't hot enough 😭 it was so terrible, I asked my husband to ask if they could change it. He was standing in front of the lady that previously got his order and trying to get her attention, he was talking to her and she completely ignored him. So my husband tried to speak with another person and said that the lady was ignoring him and please if they could change the tea because the water wasn't hot. The man said sorry I can't help you that's the temperature we use to make the tea! So disappointed. After that experience we decided we will change our breaks while visiting Liverpool Street for another shop where they care and value the clients.

I went to Eataly last week. The table was full of trash and no one came to clean it. Their 'cornetti' are definitely not Italian, more like french croissants, which is a shame because our Italian cornetti are the best. Clearly, whoever makes them, isn't Italian. Some of the staff were very rude. On the first floor, a very slim, quite short young man, wearing normal clothes and a shop tag, who walks like a 'prima donna', burged into my basket full of products, that I was holding in my hand while I was standing close to a shelf. He turned around looking at it with disdain and did not apologise. Someone should remind him that he's paid with the customers' money, and as a manager (or whatever he seemed to be) he should take care of them rather than despising them. On the same first floor, I was choosing some more food by the escalator, when a short man dressed in white, with pitch black hair and a big belly, squeezed himself in between the shelf and myself instead of strotting behind me where there was plenty of space. Again rude and inconvenient. Clearly these people are not trained properly, resent customers who are having fun shopping, and don't realise their money comes from us. In Italy, Eataly's staff are all Italian and very well mannered. In here, they are rude and disappointing. Unfortunately it's to be expected, because the Uk has very low standards.

Absolutely the Best Pizza – and I Made It Myself! 🏆 ~~~ My husband and I attended the pizza-making class where we learned to make an award-winning recipe called “The Best Pizza” — and it really lived up to its name. I can say, hand on heart, it was the best pizza I’ve ever had… and I made it myself! 🏆🏆🏆 Now, I’m not usually any good with dough, so if I can do it — anyone can and I would recommend this class, for many reasons: 👉🏻1. Brilliant Location The cookery school is very easy to get to — just by Liverpool Street Station, inside the Eataly food emporium where could easily lose yourself browsing various authentic Italian produce, or have a meal or drink at one of the many restaurants and bars. From our class windows we could see a lovely view of the iconic Bishopsgate towers. 👉🏻👉🏻2. Seamlessly Organised The class was very well thought through to the minute detail. We were a small, friendly group and had everything we needed. The ingredients were top quality, and although we had the option to purchase them from the shop nobody tried to sell anything to us. My husband has dietary problems with tomatoes, and Dimitris and Mami supplied toppings like tuna anchovies and cheeses. 👉🏻👉🏻👉🏻3. Exceptional Teaching Our tutor Dimitris was outstanding. Although the class lasted only a couple of hours, he took the time to have us introduce ourselves, which made all the difference. (I’ve had university lecturers who didn’t bother to learn our names over an entire term!). Dimitris does know his ropes! He has two award-worthy recipes up his sleeve: one for pizza that’s out of this world, and one for teaching that leaves a lasting impression. His passion is the yeast that made motivation and confidence rise. However, for me, the real achievement was that I finally learned how to make proper pizza and focaccia crust - a skill I’d been trying to tick off for years. That’s why it feels like a giant leap for me and a new level of cooking. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 👉🏻👉🏻👉🏻👉🏻4. A Fantastic Team Dimitris was supported by Mami, who made sure everything ran smoothly. She looked after us very well. Her warm, kind, and attentive personality made us welcome. Without her hard work the class would never be the same. 🌹🥰 👉🏻👉🏻👉🏻👉🏻👉🏻5. Wonderful Atmosphere The whole experience was sociable and enjoyable. We were offered drinks, given our aprons to take home as souvenirs. We took home the dough which we made, plus the most important thing – the knowledge and confidence to recreate The Best Pizza at home. I cannot recommend these classes enough. You’ll walk away well-fed, looked after and proud of what you’ve made.

Tried the Diavola pizza slice today and was quite disappointed. The flavor was lacking, and the slice itself was dry, not what I'd expect for £7. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the promise of authentic Italian taste. That said, the atmosphere was genuinely pleasant. The space is clean and inviting, and the Italian music playing in the background added a nice touch, it almost transported me back to Italy, if only the food had matched the vibe. Lovely setting, but the pizza fell short.

Great spot for Italian food lovers. The portions were generous — so much so that we ended up taking food home. We tried several dishes, and everything was delicious. Very disappointed with our visit I made a booking for my birthday at the Mezzanino restaurant inside eataly. To turn up and find out it was closed with no warning prior. We had to ask three different staff members for directions telling us different things. All who seemed very confused when we asked them but none advised us it was closed. We finally spoke to a lady who said she “thinks” it’s closed but gave us directions anyways for us to check for ourselves. Yes it was infact closed… I got my booking up on my phone and they confirmed it was valid but it wasn’t showing on there system. The staff were apologetic and said they can find out a table outside but we just had to wait as there was 8 of us they had to put the table together. What was absolutely fine with us. They staff also offered a drink on the house each for the inconvenience. Unfortunately after this the service was very slow and two orders were messed up. The food was nice but it was still cold sitting outside and due to the over all experience we decided to ask for the bill and move on somewhere else. When we recived the bill it included the round of drinks that we were advised would be on the house. We then had to sit and wait for this to be resolved. It’s a shame as we were really looking forward to going here and now wouldn’t go back again.

The food is all displayed in a very visually-appealing way too. There are lots of fresh food counters, and the food looks and smells amazing. There are plenty of staff around, and they are friendly and happy to help. Asked why it would be an issue, even asked if there was a price difference and was prepared to pay (not that this should be required for a tub of pasta that is already £16). No answer just ‘been told not to’ - we’ve been before and had no issue but most certainly won’t be returning. The place was quiet, no queues nobody waiting behind us. Quite simply the worst of customer service.

Why in London? The building was so huge that it was entirely Italian. There was a market with delicious-looking hams and cheeses, olive oil, pasta, wine, and more, as well as an Italian restaurant, which was crowded with locals and tourists.

Large shop with good selection of goods but the security guard is bad ! I felt like I was being followed by the security guard whilst the shop was empty , terrible experience when you just want to shop in peace .

I ordered the most expensive pizza, the taste didn’t make me immediately feel amazing, so average I think. The tiramisu has a slightly mellow wine flavour, so above average I suggest.

I left a review about my poor experience at Eataly on Open Table - food was terrible, servers were not well trained etc. They replied and said to email them so they could do something to put it right, but this was all about keeping up appearances because I shared my email with them and they didn’t reply. It’s obviously more important to them to be SEEN to be doing the right thing, than to actually do the right thing. Very poor approach to customer service.

What can I say but thanks for bringing Italy to London when I need a fix of a good pasta, cheese, biscuits chocolates and tarali. The pizza restaurant is good also. Italian pastries & coffee can't be beaten for deliciousness. Sorry Frenchies....

Last week I had the pleasure of attending an amazing cooking class at Eataly led by the talented Ursula. Her energy and enthusiasm were contagious. Ursula not only cared about teaching us how to cook tagliatelle and tagliolini pasta but also about making sure we enjoyed every moment of it.

I go there very often, it is obviously pricey but what a shame that.. the staff is rude and simply do not care about customers, they give them for granted, no efforts to gree them ir thank them, not at the till , not at the counter, not where you can buy pizza or bread... Giys please try to pretend and make an effort to show that you are not unhappy to work there!

,,Pasta e pizza,, restaurant.. well, as an Italian myself l can say that the pasta carbonara was traditionally made, but the portion was shockingly minuscule for an Italian restaurant and so dry and thick that l couldn't eat it.. 😏 Tiramisu was absolutely awful, just a disgusting soggy base, watery, tasteless, nothing to do with a real traditional Italian Tiramisu, so disappointing.. 😏 The pizza was burnt and dry and empty 😕 totally disappointed with our experience.. the icecream downstairs was ok-ish, but it didn't tasted like the one made in an authentic Italian gelateria.. 😏 Obviously the prices are higher than average Italian restaurants for a less than average Italian cooking..🙄

🗨"The managers lead by example, and do what they say. It's different from other places I've worked. " This was the quiet response I got from a young male employee. On my way out, I stopped by a counter to ask about the day-to-day culture of the organisation. It was my 2nd or 3rd visit, and this time, I visited on my way home after an enjoyable business conference. Within seconds of arriving, I noticed how much it felt like a fun food adventure park, filled with amazing colours and ingredients!🎉 It reminded me why Italy's 'Eataly' feels special: there is something (food or gift) for EVERYONE, and each item, large or small, is beautifully crafted and presented for our delight. ✨️ Being here, even before purchasing an item, made me feel as though I was giving a gift to myself - without having to fly to Italy (less carbon footprint)! 💝 If I could make one recommendation? Visit on your own, at least once, to fully immerse yourself in the different foods from Eataly. The Eataly London offer is fourfold: Restaurants, Foodhall, Market, and a Cooking School. It is clear how intentional this brand is, in its aim to make food a joyful, loving, and creative experience. It succeeds in doing that! As someone with experience of premium food & drink brands, I was in my happy place walking around and studying their packaged products - confectionery, condiments, and more. With each find, I imagined how hard the owners, managers, and team on the ground must work to make (our) customer experience positively memorable. No organisation is perfect, but this operation is really impressive. That's why I asked the question on my way out. It's a good thing when customers and workers feel the same about a brand.✨️ I've another meeting nearby next week, so I'll come back for Easter gifts!🎁 🎁

Great food assortment but prices are extremely high! Good for a few pieces but there’s definitely better value for Italian food in London

A fuir
