I went to the Eataly shop for the first time. It is filled of lots of lovely looking food. I bought some samphire from here. The packaging doesnt make it very obvious that it may contain traces of all tree nuts. I wouldnt check thoroughly that a plain vegetable would contain nuts, and it wasnt made obvious. Ended up having an allergic reaction and in A And E. a vegetable shouldnt may contain nuts, and if it does make it very explicit not in small letter on the back.

My friend and I attended the pasta-making class at La Scuola today, and it was an incredible experience! Chef Jordan was amazing—he demonstrated each dish with such skill, sharing tips and tricks I hadn’t heard before, even as an Italian! Both pasta dishes were absolutely delicious, with flavors that were perfectly balanced and truly memorable. I can’t wait to recreate them at home! Highly recommend this class for anyone who loves pasta or wants to learn authentic techniques. It was a fantastic day filled with learning, laughter, and amazing food!

Seguramente atiendes a las 3 personas que ya están esperando y luego cierras el mostrador? ¡No mientras alguien ya está esperando! ¿Cuál es la hora de cierre? El sitio web dice 11 pm. A huge space more than what I was expecting at Liverpool Street. You could spend a couple of hours walking around and casually shopping for food etc. I wanted to check out the casual dining for one person so headed up stairs. The food was ok I have given four stars as I thought it would be tastier? It was just ok and somewhat bland. The homemade cola was great and the service was average with a mixture of servers not talking to each other so had multiple questions that could have been avoided so didn't get my full five star rating. I was also rushed out as I didn't have a reservation so was told I had to be in and out within the hour so felt a little bit of an inconvenience asking for a table. Overall go and visit for yourself but not a place for business dinners or groups that want to talk as it is quite busy and vast

Instead I have to shout and get attention. The bill... I calculate the bill this time as it's not an equal 3 way split as my friend was drinking wine. I split the bill as the staff lacked basic numeracy skills to remove the wine cost and split the bill for the remaining drinks.

I have been here several times and always enjoyed the goods. However, last time I bought a pack of the Italian red plums. Despite looking fresh from the top, the bottom side which could not been seen from the package, had several worm holes on each plum. Since it’s impossible to have these worm holes just one day after the purchase, I assume they came freshly from the farm. So I hope you could be more careful with your selections as the goods aren’t very cheap after all :)

Eataly London is a must-visit for Italian food lovers. This time, I tried their espresso, which was rich and smooth, along with a freshly made bombolone – soft, fluffy, and filled with just the right amount of cream. I also enjoyed the gnocchi and fried calamari, both of which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere is vibrant, and whether you're sitting down for a quick bite or shopping for Italian goods, the experience is always enjoyable. ,,Pasta e pizza,, restaurant.. well, as an Italian myself l can say that the pasta carbonara was traditionally made in Roman way, but the portion was shockingly minuscule for an Italian restaurant.. 😏 Tiramisu was absolutely awful, just a disgusting soggy base, watery, tasteless, nothing to do with a real traditional Italian Tiramisu, so disappointing.. 😏 The pizza was burnt and dry and empty 😕 totally disappointed with our experience.. the icecream downstairs was ok-ish, but it didn't tasted like the one made in an authentic Italian gelateria.. 😏 Obviously the prices are higher than average Italian restaurants for a less than average Italian cooking..🙄

So I popped to Eataly on my own, waited no more than 5 minutes to be seated (it was packed on Wednesday lunch) at one of their restaurants (at the right of the escalator 1st floor) and sat at the chef area watching them make pizzas. Quick service and really attentive. I ordered an arancino to start. Super creamy and flavoursome with a not too garlicky dip… beautiful. With a pint of Italian amber ale which was incredible (sadly I forgot to note the name). Secretly I wanted a second arancino and second pint… both were that good. The real star was the pizza. Wood fired N’duja e burrata with onions and rocket. The dough was in my top 3. So so light and tasty with generous toppings. Great flavours from the n’duja. Not a ‘cheap pizza’ at £18 but great quality and ultimately I didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day! Could easily be shared between 2 people. Finished off with two scoops of gelato, salted caramel and chocolate. Both not too sweet, creamy and a great finisher. Zero complaints and would go back in a heartbeat. It could be slightly more reasonable but given it’s right next to Liverpool Street you can understand why their prices are as they are. As long as they keep using quality fresh produce with authentic methods, it’s hard to beat in this area for me. Recommended!

We walked in on a Saturday without a booking and were lucky to get a table. However, the experience started off on the wrong foot. The host's initial lack of attention set a poor tone – she acknowledged me, but in the middle of my question, she looked away to join another conversation with her colleagues before eventually turning back to help. Once seated, the service started well despite a small hiccup, which is understandable and not a big deal. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. No one checked in on us as the meal progressed, and empty plates sat on the table for an uncomfortably long time. I had to chase someone down just to order more drinks, and as I write this, I'm already dreading the process of flagging someone down to pay the bill. The staff seemed inexperienced, likely students, which isn’t necessarily a problem, but they clearly need more training in customer service. Without that, it really tarnishes the restaurant's reputation and makes people hesitant to dine here. As for the food, it was a letdown. The portions were small and lacked flavour, which was especially disappointing given how highly this place is spoken of. There are many more authentic Italian spots in town that offer a much better experience. I really didn’t want to leave a negative review, but this visit just didn’t live up to the expectations.

You know when you go to a restaurant and the food turns up, you wish you'd ordered what one of the others had ordered... that's what happened when 4 of us from work ate there yesterday. The food we ordered arrived in less than 5 minutes... which was somewhat unusual considering how you long it even takes to make pizza in a takeaway and how busy it was, but the time it took to get the food certainly showed in the quality of the food. Two of us ordered the Calzone, and they were both stone cold and not what one would normally picture as a proper Calzone - this Calzone was completely COLD with cold parma ham, some cold raw sliced tomatoes, a bit of green leaf and some rubbery mozzarella in a cold very crusty folded flatbread (not even pizza dough). When we questioned this, we were told that is how it was supposed to be served... it was not nothing compared to every other proper Calzone I have had at other restaurants in the past. Although reasonably priced, unfortunately I would not recommend to a friend, the quality of the food was shown in the mass produced, pre-prepared food that took only a couple of minutes to arrive from order.

Due to train cancellations at Liverpool Street station I decided to pop over to Eataly for a meal for one. I managed to get a table at Terra, the Italian wood-burning grill restaurant. I've eaten here before with my wife and the food was OK. Unfortunately, on this occasion I never had the chance to experience it. After waiting nearly an hour for my meal I decided to abandon ship and give up. I'm not sure if there was a problem in the kitchen, or my meal went to someone else, or if there was some other reason, because nothing was communicated to me. The first I knew there was a problem was after about 40 minutes when the wait staff came over to apologise for the wait. When I asked how much longer it would be I was told five minutes. After another ten minutes and no sign of activity or updates, I decided to take my leave. On reflection, I'm also surprised that I wasn't offered a drink, which is normally customary when something has gone so wrong. It left me with a feeling that the establishment isn't quite as professional as they present themselves to be.

At first glance, Eataly isn't cheap, but don't forget they specialise in high-quality food and ingredients imported from Italy. The cost isn't too bad considering, but expect to pay a fortune if you come in and get a ton of groceries. This is one of my favourite places to go for coffee and pastries in the morning. Today we ate in the Pizza and Pasta restaurant for the first time. The selection was good, and they had lots of non-alcoholic options which was really good. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food was quick. Really liked the Lavender Panna Cotta.

I love Eataly to wander around, look at all the fantastic produce, and pick up a few things to take home. It’s also great for a glass of wine (in the first floor bar), a coffee or an ice cream. The food on the ground floor (pasta, sandwiches etc) feels over priced and the area of seating and tables is quite basic.

I found the restaurant difficult to find (it could just be an age thing though) as it is in a large multi floor retail area - don't be put off as walking through the food areas give you good ideas - and you buy foods you did not realise you needed on the way out! Restaurant was quite busy but the staff were very good and attentive and offered a very high standard of service. Food was well prepared and well presented.

This restaurant has one of the best Margherita pizza in London I've had, surpassing Napoli on the Road, Rudy's, and Pizza Pilgrims. While service was generally good, the server, was not that attentive, impacting his individual rating, but the other staff were lovely. Overall, highly recommended for the exceptional pizza.

Nice and fresh ice cream, big selection of cakes. There is a shop with a lot of Italian products although very expensive.

Received an appalling welcome on arriving at the main entrance of the Eataly building. Not knowing how to get to the particular restaurant we had booked I approached one of the security staff only to be shooed away with a hand gesture and have him turn his back on me. Shocking rudeness. Has to ask staff behind the cafe counter instead. On arriving at La Terazza we were welcomed but then told we only have two hours ( we only needed an hour and a half so this was unnecessary and maybe if you need to turn tables like this it would be an idea to speed up the service as we would have struggled to fit dessert in within the two hour limit even if we had the time before our next appointment) Apparently I had committed a terrible faux pas by having an almost empty soft drink bottle in my hand as I approached our table and was ordered to put it in my handbag out of sight. I'm a 54 year old women so I think I can be trusted not to start swigging it at table and have built up enough restaurant eating experience to know not to sit and drink something I've bought elsewhere. I had planned to rest it on the floor next to my bag but had to ram it into my too small bag to satisfy the waiter. I found this all quite strange. Even the two teenagers we had with us mentioned that they were not enjoying the vibe of this place. " It's not very friendly here is it Mum" said my daughter. To be fair the general waiting staff were efficient enough but they didn't seem very happy to be there which makes me wonder about the management style of this place. Food was below average. Starters were ok except for a still frozen inside rice ball. Pasta was very dry with not enough sauce. They did have the sense to remove the frozen rice ball from my bill which was something I suppose. The setting looks nice but being on the very busy Bishopsgate it was very noisy with traffic and police sirens all around. My advice is to avoid - wishes we had just gone to the pizza express across the road - at least you get treated like customers and not naughty children and the food is better and cheaper too!

You'd expect paying 10.60£ for cappuccino and tart gets you more than a self service on an unstable table and eating your tart with disposable wooden forks. The tart was nice tho. - edit: the reply in which disposable = eco-friendly lost you a star...

Absolutely underground! I've been to London several times and always passed Eataly. Today we had to eat here “out of necessity” because almost all the other restaurants in the immediate vicinity had already closed their kitchens at 7 p.m. (on a Monday evening in the summer). When we asked for a table for two people, we were informed that we should vacate the table after 90 minutes. Since my boyfriend and I are fast eaters and don't have great meat, this shouldn't be a problem for us. We were shown to a table by the window where it was unbearably loud. We could hardly understand the operation. The only star is for the speed from ordering to the arrival of the food. My friend and I only went to the toilet briefly and then the food was there. A quick comment about the toilets, because there was no toilet paper and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The food was a terrible disappointment. The calzone for around £20, which was also cold, had NOTHING to do with a classic Italian calzone. Dry pizza dough on which ingredients were carelessly thrown, which then had to be cut with dull cutlery. And the truffle ravioli for £22 was supposed to be just a starter. Furthermore, a piece of bacon had gotten lost in my actually vegetarian dish, which didn't particularly bother me, but since they specifically asked about intolerances at the beginning, this is also an absolute no-go. It wasn't difficult for us to leave the restaurant before the 90 minutes were up. When we asked about the bill and whether we could pay in cash, the waitress said it wasn't a problem, but then arrived with the EC device anyway. She was then supposed to give us a full amount back, which she didn't understand either. All in all, we will give this location a wide berth! We'd rather get a burger at Five Guys across the street, it fills you up, is warm and always tastes good.

[[1 star removed due to naff corporate reach-out when told not to]] Too salty and extremely average quality pasta. Server & other staff didn't look happy. On the upside, the wine was good & there's a light & airy ambience to the space. Chicken salad was a meal in itself. Their food should be way better than this, considering the hefty price. My pasta is way better than theirs. ***** - no need to reach out, Eataly ppl. I review for the benefit of the diner, not corporates like you

We went to Pizza e Pasta on a whim when our Liverpool St train was delayed. The food and drink were absolutely immaculate, and there was even low gluten fresh pasta for my friend. Very reasonably priced, a sleek venue, convenient and fast service.

The worst Italian restaurant I have ever been to, it has a wide variety on the menu, but the spaghetti bolognese tasted awful like something out of a can and just heated up to serve to customers, bearing in mind it took over 25 minutes to get our meals and at such an outrageous price. Never again.

Cool place to walk around and explore. Plenty of toilets. Drinks at the bar have a very small pour, pizza is bland and pasta bar is flavourless. Don’t come to eat. Just come for vibes. I had the seasonal truffle pasta and margarita pizza. Both were lacking flavor.

Kind of a pointless place in my opinion. Ok for a place to meet, but the food was pretty basic (ground floor). Everything served on paper plates with wooden disposable cutlery… like a mix of fancy looking with cheapness.

The fresh pasta was very nice. However, that’s pretty much the only good thing. We waited an extra 5 min for a table by the window and then proceeded to be given a table around the back. My drink came with the wrong tonic water which wasn’t even mentioned by the waitress. They had already sold out of the croquettes by 7:15, which we weren’t told when we sat down. The salmon fillet was dry and didn’t have much flavour. And then to top it off, the waitress took away my drink before I had finished it. Will not be going back.
