As a local, I visit the Oasis throughout the year. Wonderful location, plenty of outside and inside seating also with a recently sited convenient outside serving counter. I enjoyed the crostini served with pesto, feta and a rocket salad. Sadly there were no vegan options on the menu and my though my friend would gladly have eaten the same, it was not possible for the staff to serve the dish without the feta cheese. Please please give your menu some thought to accommodate vegan customers!!! Merely resorting to eating chips is not satisfactory! Also, the two toilets within the cafe are not sufficient, especially in the busy summer season.

The best breakfast in Weymouth! This was the nicest meal we had during our holiday! The cooked breakfast was delicious and decent sized portions. The kids had crepes which they loved and the staff were really accommodating of any variations. The service was super friendly too, we will definitely visit again soon hen we are next in Weymouth!

Been to this cafe many times and have always really enjoyed the food. However we went yesterday to the take out and ordered a fish finger sandwich (always good in the past) and a burger and chips. The sandwich was very greasy and not very hot, the burger was also greasy and tasteless and was very hot. I'm guessing the sandwich had been sat a while waiting for the burger, as the service was also very slow. Very dissapointed.

We parked in the car park, they wrongly trued to charge us extra even though we paid to park. They found my address and phone number and sent threatening messages demanding money or else. I was devastated. Avoid at all costs, owners are awful people.

The Oasis Cafe enjoys a beautiful location at the end of the berm (?) at the Preston end of the causeway from Weymouth (Overcombe Beach end). The cafe is medium sized, about 15 tables and another dozen "picnic-style" tables outside. The menu is reasonaby extensive, running the gamut of usual fare through to seafood and they have a liquor licence - so everything is catered from snack, brunch, "drinkies" and everything in-between. The beachfront is raised on a pebble bank, offering superb views though 180 degrees, of the Bay, the white cliffs toward Purbeck, Portland Island and the beach along towards Weymouth - lovely! A quick word of advice, if you have didgy knees the outside tables may be a little low for you, but there are alsoa number of large rocks and the concrete berm you can sit on. The view is worth any amount of discomfort and the food is good and served by happy, helpful staff.

We've had a lot of "full English" breakfasts over the years. This week we went to three places and all felt somewhat lacking in what they provided for the money.Don't get me wrong - the food was hot, it tasted fine, but the portions and quality of ingredients, given the price, seemed out of line. It's a venue I will be going back to for coffee but I'm unlikely to order breakfast there again.

Excellent light lunches and coffee. The scallops were to die for and my eggs Benedict was just perfect. A classic long established beachside diner. Just the place for a meal after sailboarding - and a lot of ladies seem to like a lunchtime glass of wine here

I've been coming to Oasis for years. A lovely meeting place, we're never hurried to finish. Offer is usually strong enough for me, not always, but they will try again, if asked!Food is usually good, though scones are too hard. Breakfasts v popular. Queuing to get served can take ages. They have not organised things well, so I would recommend trying somewhere else if there are more than a few people queueing.

I come here often, for coffee or lunch. At least once a week. It's a popular place, which means it can be a bit noisy, (although when the weather is good you can sit outside and listen the sea !) Unlike a lot of places in this area, the people making the food know what they're doing. The menu changes often, and shows some imagination. The coffee is freshly ground from beans, and the staff are pleasant. There is parking (paid), which the cafe refunds. Overall, a very pleasant customer-focused cafe. I always recommend this place to friends, because there is something for everybody here. A good blueprint for other places in Weymouth perhaps

Just because you have the monopoly on the cafe at the end of the beach doesn't mean you should stop caring about you customers. I know its busy & the queues get big but that means business is booming & all the more reason give a good service. Nothing at all for a vegan to eat except the soup but we couldn't have that because the chef had gone home. I ask you how difficult can it be to heat up a bit of soup. I would have done it myself if they would have let me. We walked out in the end & they lost 5 customers. Never been back - see my other review. walk the extra 50 yards you won't be disappointed

We ate here with friends in the evening, when the cafe turns into a bistro with white cloths and candles. It's a local for them. Not surprisingly. It's a set price menu -two or three courses with supplements for things like scallops- about £25 pounds without drinks. The portions are generous and the food well cooked. My only reservation is that I would have preferred the new potatoes plain boiled rather than browned off. I had scallops followed by plaice with asparagus. No room for puds. They were less interesting too. Most locals know to book. Come early and avoid getting locked in at nearby parking which closes at 9pm.

What an unexpected little gem, a must for sea food lovers. I must say I was a little surprised when my inlaws booked us in for dinner here one Saturday night as it looked like a beach side cafe. However, the dining experience was top notch with the most delicious sea food. I opted for a starter of mussels in white wine sauce (usually a main but the chef was kind enough to make me a mini portion). The best mussels I have tasted - loved the added bacon and crusty bread. My main was salmon with lentils, beetroot and goats cheese - all my fave things on a plate so I was one very happy customer! If you are not a sea food fan or if you are a veggie there are other options too plus a very good wine list.Decor is a little dated but the sea view is beautiful, we felt like we were abroad on holiday! Very chilled. Will be returning here in the Summer!

Whilst driving in the area a friend recommended this cafe. There is car park right alongside which is pay and display at 80p for an hour. The cafe is right on the sea front and has a great view of the sea. Inside there are plenty of wooden tables, it was very busy for a Tuesday lunchtime and we had to wait for a table to become free.Drinks range from coffee, tea, soft drinks to wine.Food includes daily hot specials and a great selection of sandwiches and cakes all reasonably priced. You have to queue at the counter to place your order and pay.We chose ham, mustard and tomato sandwich, cheese and pickle sandwich and a cheese toasted sandwich. The food came quickly and was nicely presented with some really unusual salad leaves. The bread was thick cut granary and so fresh. This is a great place serving good tasty food.

We live close by and had decided to have a night when someone else does the cooking and washing up!It is quite small but they have improved the seating arrangements since our first visit several years ago. We have eaten there on several days recently and have always been very satisfied.Yesterday we arrived at the booked time and were shown to a table. The menu is not extensive, in fact it has been the same for our last three visits and I am wondering I f they intend to change it: I hope so. While the present menu is very good,if, like us you intend to visit regularly through winter, it will not be possible even with the very good menu it is at the moment. In Weymouth at present there is a special offer for most, if not all, restaurants in the area- 2 courses for £15 and 3 for £20.As we cannot handle three courses these days we opted for two.We chose a bottle of Sauvignon blank which we enjoyed.I chose a starter,Broccoli and Stilton soup and the main course, Sea Bass, and my wife the main course, sea bass and for her sweet, Sticky Toffee PuddingWe felt that the sea bass could have been accompanied with vegetables rather than the rather limp rocket salad. While they were both very good and they were served very well, without a long wait, we felt that the 'salad' accompanying the main course detracted from the overall experience. We will certainly return and hope that we may find a The Sea Bass was also of a very high standard with a very nice sauce. However, it was a pity that no vegetables apart from salad...a few pieces of Rocket lettuce..were served. My wife chose the Sea Bass and had Sticky Toffee Pudding...an old favourite for sweet. She pronounced herself. Erg pleased with both but echoed my sentiments regarding vegetablesLast evening

As we had time to spare, and having passed it a few times, we stopped off at the Oasis for a quick morning coffee, had a glance at the menu and thought it worth a revisit later. So we popped back for lunch.Despite it being a small café, there were tables spare (probably because it was a dismal weekday) and settled down to having a closer look at the menu. A great choice of sandwiches, baguettes and “proper” meals. In the end we settled for Fish and Chips and the Steak Baguette. Whilst the food is table served, ordering has to be done at the counter in traditional café style – not a problem and the order was efficiently taken and teas served by the friendly staff. The café itself is nice and clean and light and not what you expect from the outside. Lunch was quickly served. The fish (cod) was cooked in crispy batter, served on a bed of chips (very novelle cuisine) and tasty. The Steak Baguette was stuff full of tender sirloin steak strips and fantastic tiger prawns covered in juicy cajun and coriander butter absolutely delicious and amazing at under a tenner.A great lunch and fantastic value. We’ll be back.(this review has been entered twice against two separate TripAdvisor entries for the same Oasis just to be sure it is seen).

Stopped for breakfast here on our last day of our holiday having stayed at Waterside Holiday Park just a short walk away. Unfortunately it was raining and miserable outside but that wasn't their fault! Even with the rain, it is in a lovely location right on the beach. We had breakfasts; I had the vegetarian breakfast as although I'm not vegetarian, I'm fussy with things like sausages so easier to go veggie. It was delicious and substantial. My husband wasn't happy that he had ordered a poached egg with his standard breakfast and that it was overcooked but the waiter was lovely; instantly took the whole breakfast away, very quickly replaced and a free pot of tea in the meantime. It really wasn't an issue and the waiter was so nice about it. The evening menu looked nice but we were only there for breakfast so can't comment.

Had breakfast and coffee with a friend, food quite poor and lattes really not good - tasted bitter and milk boiled rather than the creamy stretched milk one would expect. Had to change to tea as coffee so poor. Plastic spoons served with the china cups! Cafe decor sad and tired with Xmas menu still stuck on the counter - the place was busy no doubt due to the good location out of town and easy parking, and of course the sea view. No real service as you have to go up to the counter and wait for your drink just like the chains. It's been nearly a year since our last visit to Weymouth and the chance to sample the delights of this place. We approached it with trepidation - had it maintained the very high standards of we had experienced before? After slipping into our seats and soaking up the atmosphere and the delightful aroma emanating from the kitchen, all appeared to be well. And so it proved - delicious food from the first to last mouthful, enjoyed as we watched the light fade over the bay. Why do I like the Oasis Café so much? The view obviously. And the food, without question. But perhaps most of all its the feeling of casual sophistication that it creates; not many can achieve this at these prices. We were very quick to return - the very next morning in fact, after a brisk stroll along the prom in glorious sunshine, we popped in for coffee and a bacon sandwich which we consumed on one of the tables on the beach, watching the waves lapping the shore. Breakfast time brings a different dynamic, some families with young children and quite a few retired couples and singletons, some reading newspapers, others clearly thinking about the lazy day stretching in front of them. Any time you go you'll leave very pleased with yourself for having put in an appearance. Five stars but a tiny word to the owners please - could you add "upgrade toilets" to the schedule of maintenance and improvement works I'm sure you keep? They are looking just a little tired!
