Oak Tree Restaurant in Pembrokeshire

Mainly a positive experience. 5 adults and 2 children, 1 child with a food intolerance which they took seriously. Our waitress was very polite and friendly but did forget to bring out one of the children’s meals which turns out hadn’t even been made. When it came it was a very generous portion. All the meals were very tasty and piping hot, apart from my salmon risotto that was too salty. I do love my salt and have a habit of adding at the table, luckily I decided to taste it first otherwise it would have been inedible. I did enjoy the flavour but just failed to finish it, due to the saltiness.

During our stay kids ate free which made a helpful difference with the price. The food was pretty good, amazing but pretty good. We tried pasta and pizzas and both were enjoyable. The portions were all really good and we all left full! Would be happy to eat here again.

Ate here with my partner and toddler the night we arrived as didn’t want to cook a meal after travelling. Italian is our favourite cuisine however I wouldn’t say this is authentic Italian, the food was nice but not amazing and in our opinion is overpriced for what it is. Our son enjoyed his pasta, but the portion was way too big for a child and we took it away with us. We wouldn’t eat here again and would save our money in all honesty. The staff were really friendly and lovely though and very accommodating.

This restaurant is a great addition to the other places that you can eat in Bluestone. As we could get pizzas as takeaways me and my Husband ordered other things from the menu, which were all very nice. The service was also friendly and welcoming. The pasta and pizza that our children ate also looked good and they liked it. I don’t consider the food to be overpriced considering the location of the restaurant. The menu has a great amount of variety and is much more than just a pizza restaurant.

As much food got sent back as was eaten - quality and quantity going amiss! Staff were friendly and of course, location is ideal for families and kids.

Was looking forward to the food. Not a big restaurant which was nice as not noisy and nice atmosphere. Meal started off with a bad start with waitress accidentally spilling a pint of beer over a guest. A couple fo apologies and offered a radiator but they had to go shower and change as was beyond a radiator. Had bread to start which was amazing and care taken for allergies. Shared 4 pizzas amongst adults and kids. Great size and tasted great but all the pizzas are covered in rocket. Kids had ice cream. Was a good selection to choose from. Prices all reasonable for a resort and worth the money. Disappointed that there was no recompense off bill as any other place would have been more accommodating.

The food here was fairly tasty and reasonable selection, the service however was poor. We arrived with 2 kids and were told there were no high chairs, but there was a family just finishing so we could wait or go back to our chalet and get them(!). We decided to wait, only to see that the family finishing their meal took the high chair with them as they had been told the same so went and lugged theirs from their accommodation!! Therefore I had to go and get highchairs from our own chalet. Then they brought our drinks, managing to spill one all over my lap. Service was generally slow. It seemed they were on the come down after a busy summer holidays and lost all energy and effort.

Don't be put off by the bland decor, the food and service more than make up for it! I visited with some family members and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We ordered a mix of olives, salad, arancini, fresh bread, and charcuterie to start, the arancini were incredible, the best I have tasted and the homemade bread was amazing. The food was top quality, my duck breast was so good I could have licked the sauce off the plate. One family member had a pizza, it looked delicious, he couldn't eat it all and took some home for later. Other family members had pasta dishes and said they were excellent. A big thank you to Millie and Harrison for really looking after us, and compliments to the chef.

Lovely surroundings, friendly servers, food absolutely delicious, but portion sizes too big. Feel you could save money by bringing them down about 20%. Food not wasted as we took it in a carton though!!!

We have just returned from Bluestone after a weekend break celebrating my daughters upcoming 21st birthday.We had a meal to celebrate on Saturday. The staff were lovely,food was amazing and they even presented the cake I had taken on a lovely wooden board.There were 8 of us there and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service provided. Thanks again for a lovely evening.

This restaurant is located in a spare room- therefore is minimal atmosphere here. Menu is okay but fairly limited, although the food was nice I didn't feel it was particularly 'italian'; it just had pizza and pasta on the menu. The service was dreadful, the excuse given when this was raised was staff member was alone: but she wasn't! Thee were 3 other staff there, and few tables in. Overall, I'd avoid and eat at the lodge instead.

Just ate at the restaurant this evening and have to say. It was absolutely banging. Every piece of food we had was delicious. We had the house special, prawns and antipasti for start- 👌🏻 then we shared pizza and pasta and had topped fries as a side. We over ordered and took some home, it was all absolutely lush. Kids were well fed and service was great! Thoroughly recommend

Great food, clean. Good service. Every member of our party was full and impressed with the meals. We all had arancini as a starter, this can be really dry in some places, but this was perfect.

We dined on Saturday night at the oak tree. 4 adults 6 children and very single meal was outstanding. The best Mac and cheese childrens meal I have ever tired. The king prawns in my main meal were the biggest and juiciest I have ever tried. Well done to john the chef and his team - serious good food.

You won’t go wrong going here , 10 of us dined here Saturday night and all 10 plates were cleared. Food very high quality indeed and the waiting staff were also. 10/10 would highly recommend and lovely to see the head chef jon come out to talk to us also.

I had the duck breast, absolutely delicious, daughters mac and cheese was perfect. The boys had excellent pizzas. Great food all round. Not expensive either!

The prawn linguine is an absolute must have! Delightful food and welcoming staff. So good that we had takeaway pizza the night after. Light & tasty…eat your heart out dominos!

had 2 pizzas, one was tasteless, the other burnt on top and bottom of the pizza, the only good meal was the spag bol

First impressions are not great, the restaurant is a bit bleak and lacking in atmosphere but the food is amazing. We ate here on our first night at the resort. I had the most amazing chicken parmigiana, the pasta was so creamy and garlicky and the chicken had a lush crispy skin. The kids both enjoyed their pizzas however I would say that there was a lack of choice for my vegetarian 14 year old so he could only have a margarita pizza. All in all a really good meal and I would definitely go again.

The staff were really helpful and attentive and the food is great. All our meals tasted lovely and good size portions too. We couldn't eat all of our food so they gave us cartons to take the leftovers back with us which were still just as good the next day.

The restaurant isn't currently serving pizzas so we opted for a selection of starters and sides (all vegetarian). The food was delicious, the kids portions generous and the service was faultless. My only feedback for improvement would be a few more dessert options however that definitely won't stop me booking again when I return to bluestone.

Fresh, tasty and very importantly hot pizza delivered to your accommodation or to your table. Make sure you read the menu properly though...my husband ordered Carbonara believing it was pasta when it very clearly comes under the Pizza listing on the menu 🤭

Had a lovely meal. Great italian restaurant . Lovely pizza's. Very Italian style . The service was also excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

Did a delivery to lodge as part of visit The food is fantastic, real home made top quality pizzas, and the dough balls/garlic bread is fantastic too! Cheaper than your typical Chain pizzas, but quality of a proper Italian pizzeria, will definitely be eating there...

We came here and had breakfast as part of a spa weekend and it was very good. Great sausages and the fried eggs were bang on. The staff were very friendly and efficient If you are at Bluestone then get yourself a proper breakfast.
