Great service and great food.. Large portions and puddings to die for.

If you want to experience a wonderful Italian meal this is a must.

Slightly disappointing the service really lets this place down. The food however is really yummy and the portion sizes are big. When we arrived we were seated straight away and were handed the menus. A larger group came in about 10 mins after us, they were seated and almost straight away drinks orders were taken. It then took a little time before the waiter came back to ask us what drinks we wanted. We asked if we could also place our food order at the same time, we were told that was not possible and he would be back in a minute. Some 10 to 15 mins past before he returned. Appreciate that there were other customers however the quicker we are in and out the more customers they can take. Once our orders were finally placed the food turned up quite quickly. The food was really nice and the portion were big, I wish I had not had a starter.

The food was beautiful, the salmon linguine pasta was so fresh and delicious. The only thing I'd advise is , if you do get a pizza, it comes uncut , so that's all you have to do for the kids . Nothing major at all . Staff were lovely, was great being able to speak Spanish to the waiter, I wasn't sure if he's the owner or not , but he was a lovely Italian man. I miss authentic Italian restaurants, we don't have any in my home town. It was an absolute pleasure to dine here on our first day in tenby and have marked it on our google maps as one of the best places to eat in tenby. Definitely a must , if you appreciate and enjoy Italian food

I was there with my wife for lunch. I ordered pizza and spaghetti bolognese. The food was delicious and fresh. The pizza dough was crispy and delicious. We had a nice time there. I recommend this restaurant!

The food is tasty, but a bit bland. Few flavors which, as we know, come first in Italian cuisine. The taste of basil, tomatoes, etc. was missing. Large portions, adequate prices. The service was very friendly, they worked efficiently and quickly.

a bit pricey but we eaten there twice in a week (1st visit 90 quid, 2nd 80 for 2+2 family ) portions r massive so drop starters cuz my 13 year old could not finish his dish after starter, next time we will be in Tenby we will visit this place again !! 👍😎 ….. visited this place again in 2025 still best quality food and great taste !!!!

Excellent, authentic Italian restaurant. Service was superb, and if you are lucky enough to get a table upstairs by the window, the views of the bay are sublime.

Food was ok. Service time was quick. Staff were a bit rude and short. When we asked for the bill, the server asked for the amount stated on the bill. When I gave the exact amount stated, he was baffled but entered it into the card machine and took payment. Once that was done, he tried to make me feel guilty by telling me that a service charge was not included. He then tried telling me, if I was working, would I expect a tip. Not the best customer service!

For the love of god, please please please read this review first before coming here. Summary - Food is bland. Customer experience is worse. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. From the moment of booking to leaving this place was nothing but red flags. 1. The gent who answered the phone was extremely rude and questioned us about the times etc. multiple times. 2. When arriving, we were sat right by the door, not a huge problem but the door was left open every now and again causing the sea breeze/rain to come in. 3. My friend has an eye impairment, so whenever we're in a place that requires a form of reading the menu, the menu has to be read out to him. Not a big deal. However, we had the lovely privilege of having the person we spoke to over the phone as our waiter...he approach the table to ask us what we want for drinks, and then complained how we haven't even looked at the drinks menu yet?! Throwing aggressive hand gestures as if we've wasted his time. At this point I was ready to leave but everywhere else was booked. After this he came back several times to ask us if we had any questions about the menu as he could see I was sitting next to my friend and explaining the menu to him.. My friend then requested if ONE ingredient could be removed from the dish to which the waiter replied with "Well what else am I supposed to put in the dish". The ingredients in question were something added in not an important key factor to the dish. Extremely unprofessional. 4. Food came, literally within 5 minutes of ordering.. kind of makes sense now why they were so reluctant to accept the changes to the dish. There is absolutely no way the meals here are prepared fresh. Food was completely bland and watery. I've honestly had better quality food from meal deals in super stores. 5. After paying, no thank you, no conversation, just a receipt thrown down and them walking away. I'm somewhat local to Tenby, but I'd hate to see people visiting Wales from other countries experience this place as a special meal. There is absolutely nothing special about this place. The only thing you will get from here is a bad taste, both from the food and so called "customer service". Please visit elsewhere if you're here for the holidays.

Amazing meal at florentinos, I had the carbonara and my partner had a calzone. Service was great and food was very tasty.

We are here twice during our four night break in Tenby. On both occasions, we have pre-booked a table as we knew it would be busy as it was school half term week. Attentive service, good quality food at a reasonable price. My glass of white house wine wasn't to my taste but a second glass of pinot grigio was just the ticket! Other members of the party shared good bottles of red wine. We asked for food recommendations on our second visit and all enjoyed the food we ordered. We would return again without any hesitation.

It was ok food was average nothing to complain about food wise. House wine was expensive at least £20 a bottle I actually think it was £25 but it was a really really cheap bottle of wine that they provided

I find it hard to believe that with bad reviews about staff and service that standards were not improved. There has to be a case of quality over profit mentality when you're charging top notch prices.

Not a good experience, was given a table for two in the corner downstairs when there was plenty of room upstairs. The waiter upstairs was totally unsociable and intimidating. We had a lasagne that was hot on the outside but cold in the middle. The bill came and was £82 ,extremely overpriced.

Super quality Italian meal. The pizza was the best I've had outside of Italy for sure and believe me I love Pizza but usually pizza outside of Italy is a huge let down but not here. The menus is varied and the pasta others had was excellent. the wine list is short in volume but not on quality and not overpriced.

My wife and I thought we'd give this restaurant a try, she was in the mood for a pizza and it had one of her favourites (with anchovies) on the menu. We started with some olives, they really were the best we've tasted in a long time. My wife said the pizza was delicious, and I had a pork dish with mushrooms in a white wine sauce, and I loved it, full of flavour. We're really glad that we opted for this restaurant, as there's quite a choice in Tenby, a tad pricey, but most places are these days.

I visited during what is likely the busiest weekend for any restaurant in Tenby, the Ironman 2024 event, and I must say, out of all the places I dined at that weekend, this one stood out as the best by far. The staff were incredibly organized and well prepared for the chaos that comes with the Ironman weekend. Despite what must have been an exhausting few days for them, they provided top-notch service with impressive energy and dedication. At first glance, like many others, I was hesitant about the menu prices. But considering they were open and welcoming walk ins without reservations on such a hectic day and that we desperately needed a meal after a long day, it didn't bother me much at the time. After eating here, I can confidently say the prices were more than justified. The food was exceptional, and their high standards were maintained even under the pressure of such a busy period. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to return to this 100% authentic Italian restaurant. Honestly, it couldn't be more authentic!

Very expensive for poor quality food.

This restaurant was great! We were a bit stuck deciding where to go as it was Saturday night, places were busy and we didn't have anything booked. They had a table free for us and we ordered pizzas, which were delicious. I also had a panna cotta for dessert, which was really nice. It wasn't particularly cheap, we spent more than we really planned to, but couldn't fault the food or the service. It's also right next to the beach so when we finished we had a lovely sunset walk. Really nice food in a beautiful location.

This was my 1st time at the restaurant in Tenby having been to the one in Carmarthen a lot. Food is excellent and of the same quality, however the restaurant did not have the same rustic feel nor were staff very attentive.

Unlike any other restaurant in Tenby, Florentino's is positioned directly above the picturesque harbour - as a result it has pride of place amongst the MANY restaurants in Tenby.....but the fact that it is 25th (currently) in the Tripadvisor ratings should tell you everything you need to know before you decide to try somewhere else. That's a shame, as I love Italian and it was a celebratory evening for us - unfortunately.... Ultimately, like several (too many) Tenby cafes and restaurants, Florentino's know that they just don't need to try that hard, especially during the tourist season, to attract customers that they are never likely to see again - I know, I live in Tenby! So, a potential 5-Star rated Restaurant, that drops ratings for superficial service, a truly-odd drinks approach (pints served outside but not inside?!?), truly average food at above-average cost, and a level of professional complacency where you know that your comments on their average food (made at the time, to the waiter) would be given short shrift. There's plenty of better / cheaper / nice alternatives in Tenby - 24 in fact (at last count!)

Food was fantastic and the Romanian team on shift tonight were very friendly and accommodating. Focaccia bread was out of this world 👌

Good food, a little pricey but I guess that comes with the location. Food was delicious, I would recommend that the chefs take the lobster out of its shell / claw and stir through the pasta - getting hands covered in red sauce is not really what you want on a nice meal. Staff were incredibly friendly and kind.

Was really looking forward to coming here after hearing such good things. Unfortunately our experience wasn’t great. We were a table of 6, and only 3 of us enjoyed our meal. To start with my friend was served the wrong meal. She was served a meat pasta dish and she’s vegetarian. Not a great start. This in the end did come off our bill. I had the seafood risotto which actually did taste nice but unfortunately the rice was so overcooked it was mushy. My husband has the seafood spaghetti which he unfortunately said was quite bland. Because of the fuss already caused (my friend having to wait for a new meal to be cooked) we didn’t bother getting their attention to tell them. We was so hungry we didn’t want to wait to have new meals made considering at this point most of our table had nearly finished their food. Upon clearing the table we let our waiter know about our meals to which he just kept repeating “I’ve already apologised to your friend about her food” He wasn’t interested in our feedback and quite honestly he was very rude. The whole experience has totally put us off coming back again.

Lovely friendly staff, absolutely delicious food, seafood spaghetti on point!

Booked a reservation to go here for dinner whilst we were on holiday. We clearly stated in advance we would have two babies with us, so asked for a table with plenty of room for high chairs and pushchair. Not child friendly at all and seemed unwilling to accommodate children/highchairs/ pushchair. The staff came across as rude and unhappy that babies were crying. Lovely food, so Prehaps somewhere to go for people who do not have children with them.

The service here was awful. It felt like we were somehow inconvenienceing them and After 10 mins the waiter was pacing up and down by our table looking at his watch and then back to us again. Coming across rude and aggressive, the table next to us said very politely that his food was fantastic but his wife's food was quite bland and he got very confrontational with them both. The card machine was just put in my face on leaving with no goodbyes or any conversation at all. It cost almost 50 pounds to have 2 drinks and 2 puddings, one of which was gelatinous and inedible. The view and location could have this place looking amazing but the staff and pricing let it down tremendously.

A walk in group of 10 people and the hosts seemed happy to accomodate us outside which on a bank holiday felt almost too good to be true. I used the word accomodate very loosely as we were greeted with Unfriendly staff who seemed to be in a rush taking our orders and made no effort whatsoever. The food came out in less than 10 mins which felt suspiciously quick given what we had ordered. When bringing out the food the servers barked the names of the dishes almost accusingly at us and got one of the orders wrong (a pizza had been ordered and arrived lacking the single topping that had been requested then once this had been pointed out to the servers they took the pizza away and brought back the same pizza with a handfull of olives strewn haphazardly across it and charged £3.50 for the pleasure) We also had to request the correct cutlery. As for the food that had arrived correctly it all seemed tasteless save for the copious amounts of parsely dumped on top. When it came to the bill we were told the bill could not be split by the servers as apparently this was too much hassle for them. It is important to note that our party contained 3 individuals who work ln hospitality and had all used the exact same card readers in their respective places of work and knew it could be split easily. We worked out what each of us had ordered and paid our respective bill and we were nearly chased down the street by our waiter holding a calculator screaming that we owed him £40 we asked to check the reciepts again but he was fairly reluctant and completly unhelpful. We worked out that we had paid £233 for an order that was supposed to come to £200 so i can only assume that the tax at the bottom of the reciept had not already been added to the total bill which is incredibly misleading. Overall a massive let down for a place that always seemed so busy. I can only assume it is because of its proximity to town as it was completly lacking in every other area.

Today... A fantastic evening provided by the best service. Strong Women get to know each other from a distance ;) Humor is the basis. Great salmon in cream sauce with pink pepper The lamb is soft and delicious. Delicious desserts.

Every dish is at least £4 more expensive than their competition on Frog Street and a member of staff got real shitty with me for taking a picture… of a flower… outside… on a PUBLIC pavement.

Rude Romanian waiter, pushing you to have food at all costs, unhappy to serve you and wandered around the table all the time to push you out. The worst place in Tenby, avoid at all costs. Felt uncomfortable drinking overpriced drinks, he was also telling customers off schooling everyone what to do in an aggressive way, appalling!

Terrible experience. The waiter was very aggressive, trying to make me buy food. He kept pacing up and down in a territorial manner, I could not enjoy my overpriced sparkling water in peace. These were not Italian people, but Romanians and certainly lacked the friendliness of the Italians. If you want an Italian experience, avoid this place.

Food was nice but very expensive. I think they need to work on their maths tho. A margarita pizza is 15.95 and you can add a topping for 4 quid. But a salami pizza is 25 quid?!?!?!

Probably the rudest, most unfriendly service I've ever experienced, anywhere in the world. The waiter was rude, discourteous, impatient and clearly disliked his job. NOT recommended.

We booked for a party of 4 people 6 months ago and were guaranteed a spot in the window for a special occasion. This spot had then been given to another group. We then requested a different window spot but were told that it was reserved. Nobody actually sat there for the entire time we were there. Service was shocking, extremely rude, didn’t offer any tap water, and took our bottle of wine away once finished without offering more. Gluten-free options were non-existent. Meat was the only option, and could not be guaranteed celiac friendly. Very strange and limiting for a tourist town, and made us feel like an inconvenience. If the above points had been okay, it might have made up for the fact that the prices have doubled since when we visited two years ago. Food is mediocre, wouldn’t bother here again.

We passed by and were drawn in by the amazing smell. I overheard another customer order a pepperoni pizza that was £24.95 and we spent £77 ourselves. The Salmon was £27.95 but was so dry, the Margarita pizza tasted bland, the coke was flat and their "freshly made on the day" desserts are a joke. I ordered cheese cake that had the consistency of jelly (ie made the cheap way). Freshly made on the day where? Tesco? The food comes out suspiciously fast. Avoid this place, total rip off and scam. None of the food is worth the prices they're charging. Also the waiters seemed very off and it was pretty empty at around 3pm which should have been the first red flag

Best food, service and atmosphere ! Even the Prosecco was the best I have had since I was in Venice!

We have been here many times, but this time, the service was a new level of poor and it’s shown up by all the other restaurants in Tenby with decent friendly, helpful staff. Seems like they were put out every time we asked for something and one waiter was visible and audibly annoyed we had a baby who made some mess. Lobster linguine didn’t taste of much but was decent size. Nutella pizza and location were the only saving grace. This place used to be much better but seems like nobody there really cares anymore. Avoid if you have kids! No proper high chairs and you’ll get looked down upon.

We visited last night as a family of 6. We sat upstairs and the view was phenomenal- this was the best and only bit. No children’s menu which I found very odd just order smaller sizes of the adult version apart from pizza. We had soft drinks and these were mixed up and no offer to change them if apologies. The service was shocking- really rude and uncomfortable. Put a very sour taste going here. Food was ok- not the greatest. One meal was not touched and they didn’t even ask if everything was ok. When we came to pay I was just given the card machine and asked to tap the amount into the machine as he doesn’t talk English yet through the order taking he spoke English. Would not recommend. Shame as the setting was beautiful.

Such a beautiful place! From the food to the service everything was perfect! Huge portions on the food and the seafood pasta I will be thinking about forever it was absolutely stunning! The staff are amazing and I would definitely recommend anyone to go!

Total rip-off. They increased their price by 40% and more from 2023. Seafood pasta that was 17£ is now 24£

Italian place in 100%. Italian staff, Italian atmosphere and Italian proper food. One way ticket to Italy but we are still in UK! I recommend pizza, but literally I am sure that any dish is good as the smells around the tables were amazing.

Ate there in May of 2024. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 3:00. That should have been our first clue. Our waiter was not friendly at all and was coughing through out our stay. I ordered the lasagna which came out burnt but the taste in the middle was not too bad. Everything was so expensive and even the bread was an extra cost. The waiter asked us if we wanted something to drink and we said water. When the bill came he charged us 6 pounds for it. When questioned about the price he was argumentative. We had eaten at that same restaurant 12 years earlier and had a good experience then. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone

Great lunch, Superb service, right in the heart of beautiful Tenby.

Very authentic Italian restaurant. The food was amazing. My favourite was the lasagna. The location of this restaurant is perfect as you can get a view of the seaside. The staff very friendly and kind. Also due to miscommunication another meal was made but the staff offered to prepare another meal on them.

Awful rude staff. Expensive rubbish food £26 for pizza is robbery and seafood pizza just tomato base and a load of shells thrown on some even empty. By time de shelled what was there was no taste and pizza cold and rubbery. Don't be fooled by location lots of nice places in tenby. This place needs to be avoided

Amazing food, very tasty, Mediterranean However the service, it’s like they think they’re making you a favour, very derogatory

Sadly this place is just a tourist trap, extremely overpriced and overcrowded. The fries were anaemic looking, tasted like frozen chips and weren’t eaten, the dessert definitely wasn’t homemade as described on the menu. My partner had the pork - described as tough and chewy. The olives and focaccia were the stars of the show. Disappointing meal to say the least.

I've been there to dine in as a treat every Tenby holiday for the last 3 years. Food is delicious and the service and atmosphere are amazing highly recommended.

Lovely service and food purfect

We booked early on in the evening as we had four families, each with at least one young child. Unfortunately, it was possibly the worst service any of us have ever experienced. Overall, the staff were very rude, short tempered and seemed less than pleased to have younger children in the restaurant: at the end of the meal, several of them made a huge fuss over cleaning some felt tipped pen off the table with one waiter slamming his waiting cloth on the table in disgust. The food was, at best, mediocre and very expensive. At £20 a pepperoni pizza, you’d expect, at least, consistency: on one table, the pepperoni was undercooked; on another table it was overcooked. The meal came to just short of £500 but there was no gratitude shown and we were made to feel an inconvenience for them. It seems that due to their prime location and the fact there aren’t many Italian restaurants in Tenby, they don’t mind delivering substandard food and service at extortionate prices. It’s safe to say, we’ll not be going back again.

Poor service with rude attitude from waiting staff. Food is sub-par and drinks are extremely overpriced. There are so many nice places to eat and drink in Tenby, this is not one of them.

Immensely disappointed by my experience here. The food was average but exceedingly expensive for what it was, yet despite this, you'll still receive an attitude from the waiters for not wanting to order from their wine list. The majority of the staff were pleasant, but our main server was awful, kept pacing the room scowling at the tables, got our order wrong, and the kitchen put parmesan on a vegetarian dish. The server was quite intimidating and generally unpleasant towards us the whole time, didn't bring our first drinks order at all but tried to charge us for all drinks twice. He brought over the bill and then a woman came to bring us the machine and rolled her eyes when I brought up the error. Then when we wanted to split the bill as we were a rather large table we were told they didn't have the capability to do that and were giving us attitude about it as if it's unheard of to do such a simple thing, proceeding to throw down a pen and paper for us to 'figure it out'. Don't waste your hard earned money on the worst italian in Wales.

It was overpriced and very bland. 1 drink was £15 and our dinner tasted store bought. The focaccia was not focaccia, it was super doughy flat pita bread at best. Not authentic at all. The crab in one of our risottos was completely inedible and impossible to get into. We tried stabbing it, breaking it open with our hands and tried biting the shell open, nothing worked. The risotto itself was also just plain rice, there was no cream or sauce to it, it was genuinely just rice. The lasagna came extremely dry with burnt edges and no sauce or béchamel whatsoever. The service was subpar and it was clear they were annoyed with us over the quality of our food even though we made a reservation. Wouldn’t go here again.

I ordered a lasagna which was almost £18!! Aperol spritz was £15 and 90% soda water. And I was given a meal that tasted like it was two days old and reheated. Sent it back and it somehow came out worse, just tasted Like pasta and tomato Purée. I’ve genuinely made better lasagna at home. Risotto was just rice with no sauce. absolute rubbish do not waste your money

Excellent restaurant. On y mange bien, les plats sont bons et copieux et le cadre très sympathique que ce soit la salle intérieure ou la petite terrasse ensoleillée. Cependant le service est désastreux. Rapide, les serveurs ne sont pas le plus sympathiques du monde (loin de là) et vous font sentir qu'il convient de manger vite afin de d'autres clients puissent prendre votre place.

had a carbonara here the other night, was charged £18 for a bowl of cream with a side of half cooked spaghetti, no taste, very shocking from a nice looking italian restaurant, the food was clearly not fresh as had arrived in under 5 minutes. When i had made a kind complaint, as i don’t have the money to pay for poor food i was given a rude response and the staff were hostile about the situation, talking down on me and being heavy handing around serving and clearing after the complaint.

My favourite Italian restaurant.

We had 3 nights in Tenby and ate out all 3 nights. This was a complete let down. The other two nights at other places were great. Its very pricey with pizas in the mid 20s and we thought it might be good, great location. The staff are over efficient, hurrying around. I orderd a slow cooked lamb and I got a dried out old mutton. Should never had been served. They did take i off the bill, but no excuse or anything / thats obviuosly how they serve their so called lamb. My partners salmon was allright but her sparkling water came in a war, bottle, no ice etc. The wine list is not specific, just says Chianti and the price... and so it goes. So bad service and bad food.

Lovely location and nice interior but … prices ridiculous for quality of food. I asked for a sparkling water and was given a warm bottle which was plonked onto the table with a glass. Staff were highly efficient- but on the side of brusque. My dish was ok (Salmon) but salad probably out of a bag with a few tinned olives and no dressing. My partner’s lamb was appalling - how they had the nerve to serve it was beyond me it had the texture of something that had been reheated a number of times and looked disgusting . On a positive when asked how his meal was, and being told ( he’d left about 80%) lamb was dry, they took it off the bill. However it should not have left the kitchen. Such a shame

A very disappointing return to this restaurant!! We first came here last year and couldn’t wait to eat here again. Although the food was very good for the most part, the pizza we had was undercooked and bland, making it an expensive waste. The lobster linguine however was stunning. All this aside as the experience was completely ruined by the sheer arrogance and rudeness of the staff, even something small like ‘can we have the olives to start whilst we choose our mains?’ This was simply met with, ‘no, I have to take your whole order!’ We will not be returning, there are nicer more welcoming places in Tenby.

Absolutely tasteless meal. So expensive, for the money rip off

The menu was very expensive for what it is. My dad and I ordered a Bolognese which you would think an Italian restaurant could not get wrong. Unfortunately, it was completely tasteless. There was no flavour whatsoever. Will definitely not be eating there again, and came away feeling cheated and disappointed.

This place is great. It a proper restaurant with a decent menu and good service. It was a welcome alternative to the pub grub circuit in Tenby in a lovely location by the harbour with nice wine and beer and plenty of choice on the menu, with all the Italian dishes we all know and love available. There is also a fair amount of local seafood on the menu and lots of lovely starters and entrées. A lot to like!

We had a lovely meal here, pizza was delicious, and the lamb was very tasty 😋 Service was efficient and friendly, we did have to wait for a table but that's because we hadn't booked (it was a Friday evening) only about 5 or so minutes. Will be trying the rest of the menu. Thanks.

Absolutely phenomenal restaurant, staff were friendly and attentive, beautiful views right outside the building, and the best pasta I’ve ever eaten! Would highly recommend

Very poor customer service and they asked me to pay for tap water when they told me it was free. Also they were very rude in the way they were interacting with me.

Booked this in advance for our anniversary 29th June at 6pm On arrival extremely friendly Our table a little to close to door so we was able to sit upstairs instead which had a nice view too We went all out on the fillet of beef with fungi at about 38 quid each. Great size portions and cooked to perfection A lovely glass of red to follow Desserts consisted of tiramisu and cheesecake and coffees More expensive than I’d normally pay but wow what a service and what a meal. Great friendly staff It was really busy and the was rushed off their feet but you was still made to feel special Would definitely return

Good pizza, very hearty and full of toppings. Also extremely attentive staff. A nice stop straight off the waverley.

Nice food with nice view but very expensive

Probably the best Italian restaurant we have been too for a long time great service just enough on the menu proper Italian food a touch of modern and traditional vibe and surroundings we are in Temby for 4 days a will definitely have another meal before we leave. Mike & Paula
