Lovely freindy staff, very welcoming, nice menu, catering for all. If I lived nearer I would pop in regularly. My second visit, and still as good as the first

Visited here for the first time today with a baby who was under the weather with teething & vaccinations, a member of staff (Georgina) went above and beyond to make sure the baby was comfortable and kept her cool with iced water & a cool wet cloth! Georgina was so friendly and made the visit very enjoyable despite a whingey baby! Thank you Georgina and your team! Not only was the visit enjoyable but the food was yummy. Will definitely recommend to friends & family and will be visiting again soon!

I've eaten here quite alot as live in the highwoods area. The food is generally really lovely and freshly done. The cakes are really tasty Only reason for not getting 5 stars is I found a hair in my food. However it was quickly resolved and I got a freshly prepared meal. Will be back again in the future.

Friendly staff, good service, good food, reasonable prices. What’s not to like? Having had a coffee and sandwich in a Costa recently, this is far, far better. Plus I like to support local independent businesses.

I went to see one of my students on their work experience at this charming place. It was lunch time and full of customers. The manageress and staff were calm and methodical, completely un phased and the atmosphere was light and cheerful. The food looked delicious, but I only had time for a take away coffee, which was the best I’ve had in a long while. My student was very proud to be part of this busy and welcoming team. Well done folks, you’ve impressed this Head Teacher.

Visited here for coffee and cake on a Saturday afternoon. They seem to have lots of staff when we visited but only one person seemed to know what she was doing. They had a childrens' party which started a couple of minutes after we arrived and this clearly was too much for them to cope with. Our order was slow and incorrect (one cake and one coffee each!) and the tables were small and cramped. Staff weere friendly but really would not bother again.

Took our Grandchildren here for lunch. Ordered cheese wrap, chicken baguette, tuna baguette, two ham sandwiches, three milkshakes, one coffee, one tea. No baguettes, no chicken. Bread extremely dry, and barely edible. Got smoothies instead of milkshakes, but these were replaced. Even my eight year old grandson commented on how often the assistants were apologising to customers! Service was average. The experience was awful and cost £30!! We won't be recommending or returning!!

Thanks to Susie and the team for helping me arrange a fabulous baby shower themed afternoon tea for a friend. Nothing was too much trouble even though we had lots of food allergies and requirements. I would recommend it to anyone looking to organise a similar event.

I've come here many time with friends and family and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and there is a great choice too. The prices are just right for an independent coffee shop and I love that it is helping the community. Also the staff are super friendly and are so nice to chat to.

The spicy meatball panini is definitely my favourite! It is served with salad on the side so is a very good meal for £4.50 or so. Coffee is nice. It is also ok for families but being a coffee shop I rather recommend it more for friends or couples.

A lovely coffee shop that not only serves delicious cakes and snacks, but also offers a variety of lunch options, as well as being a fair trade seller hosting not only food products but many home products, jewellery, gifts and cards. Great for a little gander. Recently I bought a spaghetti measurer from there in the shape of a flower. By far my favourite item to purchase here has to be the winter special 'Chocolate orange hot chocolate' - makes Christmas feel like it goes from October - February.

Third visit and still would come back. This time my husband tried the spicy meatball and cheese Panini and thought it was excellent and even thought the coffee was better today, not that it was bad last time I hasten to add. The fly in the ointment is that this is our third visit and on each visit there has been a gentleman, with his laptop, mobile phone, etc., sitting in the window seat, occupying a four seat table with everything spread out so as to give out the message – you cannot sit here! With no empty plates, just a glass of water. Now to us this hardly seems fair, not only does he put customers off but he doesn’t have to pay business rates either. Maybe management could take note?

Invited here for Grandmother’s birthday meal. Thankfully we did our research beforehand and realised that parking was limited so car shared with others. One guest got so frustrated with trying to find a space that she gave up and drove home again! The place wasn’t big enough for all of us so we were sat on 3 big separate tables, not their fault but hardly a ‘family’ meal when you’re all sat separately... Table(s) was booked well in advanced, yet food choices were limited because they’d run out of certain meats. The food was beautiful and the portions were generous but the service was slow and some people had finished their meal by the time others arrived! Pudding was limited, there was no actual menu and the waitress didn’t really know what they had or what was in it so we didn’t bother in the end. Prices were reasonable & the facilities were clean. Overall, I just don’t think it was a great choice of venue for so many of us but that isn’t their fault and they tried very hard to make us all feel welcome. Would return again with a smaller group.

A party of 9, we were welcomed by warm, friendly and attentive staff. Most importantly we all had an excellent Sunday roast that was both delicious and hot. It was served in a reasonable time and the gravy kept coming when we requested more. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and none of the party would hesitate to return when in the area again or to recommend it to others.
