O' sarracino in Central Bedfordshire

I visited before for lunch with my dad and as we’re both Italian it was nice to find somewhere authentic. When I went for dinner (I have coeliac disease/I’m gluten free) I forgot to ask for gluten free pasta. When it arrived I realised, so apologised and asked for the GF version. The staff replaced it and apologised to me, I explained it’s me who should be apologising! I’d taken one bite before I’d realised, and the waiter came to check I was ok. They were so kind and didn’t charge me extra so I gave a decent tip. They allowed me to bring a cake, as it was for a birthday, and they brought the cake out singing Happy Birthday!

Spaghetti all scoglio were very good, and the homemade tiramu was spectacular. We will definitelycome back again, Francesca

We already love the main restaurant Today we tried the new cafe. With a lunchtime menu, food as good as the main restaurant and a very distracting cake fridge and pastry counter. Pleasantly decorated with service as good as the main restaurant. If you like the main restaurant but only want lunch then the cafe is for you.

Fantastic restaurant. Beautiful interior with original wooden beams. The service from Gioconda was outstanding! Food is fantastic and represents great value. We highly recommend this restaurant for dinner, lunch or special occasions.

Met a friend here for dinner on a Wednesday evening, a great atmosphere for a weekday night, clearly a popular spot. Food fantastic and felt very authentic, I'll be coming back!

Really really good food, honest and to the point with good service. The restaurant was busy and even then the food arrived within half and hour and was delicious, chefs kisses. Gioconda was great and your could tell she was working overtime and still was mad polite, yippee

Whether it is for a special occasion or a more casual night out, O'sarracino's is the place to go! Incredible food and fantastic service every time. We come so often and it is our 'go to' place for a date night.

If you like good Italian food, then say no more. Staff are great. Food is genuinely incredible. A good mixture of Italian cuisine.

This is our go to restaurant, always accommodating. Gorgeous proper Italian food which doesn't break the bank and a lovely atmosphere. Love this place, I've recommended it to lots of people. Can't wait for our next meal there. Thanks guys Duncan

We ate here early yesterday evening on their 50% offer, but the evening was spoilt by two things. Firstly, we were told upon arrival that we only had the table for two hours (this was not mentioned when we telephoned to book), so we instantly felt rushed. Secondly, the brusque, surly (I would even go so far as to say rude) attitude of one of the waiting staff made us feel uncomfortable throughout. The restaurant was very busy, so the waiting staff were rushed off their feet, but this should not be an excuse for poor customer service. The other two waiting staff were just as busy but managed to remain friendly and attentive. Our experience has made us think twice about booking here again, which is a shame as the restaurant is characterful and the food delicious.

As a family we have supported this restaurant since it opened. I suppose I have taken it for granted and not realised how good it is until you try one in another town. Delicious food! We had mussels, bread, two massive pastas and the bill only came to £66! Christina was out waitress and was 10/10 so polite and friendly!

The range of food is great and I love how the team really share there passion and knowledge regarding the ingredients and dishes. We were served by Gioconda, who offered great recommendations and made small adjustments to the dishes at our request to suit dietary needs. She was friendly and funny.

4 of us had a delicious meal yesterday , great atmosphere & superb service by Gioconda !!! We’d booked last minute and given a 2 hour slot , however at no time did we feel rushed . Perfect !!!

Is it legal to slap on a 10% surcharge without being told before hand? I always thought when you booked a table at a restaurant, you entered a contract. Your provided with a service and you pay for that service. Surely you cannot change that...
