Numi Food in Edinburgh, City of

Ordered through Uber Eats at 17.17 and am appalled by the service. Estimate delivery time was 18.20 to 18.40. Had to call 5 times to get updates with many false promises. Food eventually arrived at 21.01 cold

On holiday and ordered a takeway through deliveroo to be delivered to apartment. Ordered at 19:41 and finally received a lukewarm meal and not what we expected 2 hours later at 21:50. We had hungry children who needed feeding and ended up getting ready meals from nearby shop. It took the bar an hour to get back to us with details that one of the dishes had nuts in as we had someone with a nut allergy and we received texts at 21:39 saying that the meal would be with us at 2055. I have had better value meals from in London's chinatown & our local takeaway and was a complete waste of money especially as we Asian so know what to expect.

Food was truly amazing! Staff was very kind and the place was super clean. Food was delivered very quickly too! Absolute 5 stars!

Cogimos una comida para llevar para cenar. Los calamares a la sal y pimienta que teníamos como entrante se sentían como plástico duro, absolutamente incomible. El resto de la comida era de baja calidad, definitivamente por debajo de la media. No recomendado, una pérdida de dinero.

Vine aquí para un almuerzo posterior a mediados de semana y me pareció bastante tranquilo. Solo hay unas pocas mesas con asientos normales y el resto son taburetes más altos. Usted ordena y paga en el mostrador. Su máquina de tarjetas no tiene la mejor señal, así que tuve que esperar a que mi transacción se realizara por un par de minutos. No es el lugar más cómodo para sentarse y comer, ya que su puerta principal deja entrar mucho aire frío. Me sentí más como un establecimiento de comida rápida que como un restaurante. El menú es bastante amplio con una variedad de sopas, entrantes, platos de arroz, platos de fideos y platos separados de carne / vegetales. Me había emocionado probar su arroz con olla de barro, ya que creo que es uno de los únicos lugares en Edimburgo para hacerlo. Elegí el arroz con pollo y hongos poku (shiitake) y me dijeron que tomaría 50 minutos. Verifiqué dos veces con la señora que dijo "cinco cero" y dijo que sí. Estaba un poco decepcionado con el tiempo de espera, pero volví a mi asiento para esperar. Después de unos 20 minutos, salió mi comida, ¡debió haber significado 15 minutos, pero me alegré de no tener que esperar 50! Mi arroz estaba poco cocido (posiblemente porque se apresuraban a cocinarlo en 15 minutos) y estaba bastante pegado al fondo de la olla de barro. El pollo estaba pálido y en trozos grandes, lo que significaba que no parecía muy apetitoso. Había tres hongos shiitake en total y algunos tallos de gai lan colocados en la parte superior. Habría apreciado más hongos ya que el pollo estaba bastante sin sabor. Perder el auténtico sabor de arroz olla de barro! Cuando el camarero acercó el plato, me dijo que le pusiera salsa de soja, algo que no debería ser necesario si el pollo y los champiñones se hubieran adobado en primer lugar. No sabía mal pero necesitaba la salsa de soja para darle sabor. Pedí un mango pomelo sago que sabía más a jugo de mango con sagú. Solo un poquito de pomelo y le faltaba el verdadero sabor a mango. Decepcionado porque mi bebida no estuvo a la altura de mis expectativas. En general, te recomendaría si anhelas una versión más 'comida rápida' de comida china. Los precios parecen reflejar la calidad. Sin embargo, si buscas autenticidad, le echaría de menos a Numi. A Numi le va bien en Southbridge debido a la cantidad de tráfico peatonal turístico, pero tal vez no tanto para los locales o aquellos que conocen su comida china.

We stopped here for a pit stop during a weekend in Edinburgh. We shared a seafood soup which was fab and had octopus balls which were fluffy and nice. Lovely sauces condiments etc incl chili oil. Service was excellent too. We loved it!

Theres been an explosion of Asian cuisine on this street to cater for the students. Popped into this one for a bite. I got the char sui rice. For any asians that know exactly what char sui tastes like it was dry and lacking in flavour. It was average at best. There are definitely betters restaurants out there

We visited Numi one Satmurday evening and were glad we did. The service was both friendly, quick a the restaurant was spotless. My wife and I thought the food was excellent and the ingredients very fresh. We will definitely be eating at Numi again.

Ordered chicken chow main through deliveroo - it was beyond average! Most definitely wouldn’t ordered from here again unfortunately.

Great food and great portion size. They provided sauce which I often find is missing from other similar places Service and staff very friendly and helpful!

An inexpensive lunch place; good for families. Everything we tried was decent; all the small dishes around £4 and for that price they were a decent size and quality. Gyozas and squid really good

Went here by chance and I was very impressed by the cleanliness and the friendly staff. The menu choice is fairly good and I opted for a take a way chow min dish. The chicken was fresh and tasted lovely. What I liked most was the fresh vegetables that came with this dish. I did not find it pricey for Edinburgh eateries.

We were here for dinner because it was close to our hotel, the portions are generous and the service was ok, not my favorite but is a safe and clean place to eat.
