This one is a rare, but welcome find, and hopefully a sign of positive changes coming to Colwyn. We only went in for a drink and light snack, but saw the raspberry almond cake and decided to share a slice. Others had muffins, which they enjoyed. The tea was very good, nice and hot. Coffee drinkers in our group said the same. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere, light, calming and a welcome respite in all weathers. If I still lived at home, I'd be a regular here. Thank you for adding something special to the old town.

Today I had a delicious toasty with Spinach, Mushroom and Emmental cheese and Flat White coffee and Parma Violet cupcake all of which was truly tasty and all freshly made. Cannot recommend Number 44 enough, I'm now a regular with my partner and become friends with Ali the owner, she's always friendly and provides everyone with friendly service and chat. Most of the food is suitable for Vegans or Vegetarians with the freshest ingredients. I've now tried most things on the menu but the also occasionally offer pop up events where they offer food specials. Number 44 also showcases interesting art exhibitions that are thought provoking and on certain nights events that are geared towards things such as wellbeing, singing, guitar classes etc are just some of the events Ali has held there. They offer the best coffee in the Bay all locally sourced by independent coffee suppliers none of your crap like Costa, Starbucks etc, this place is truly independent and offers more than any coffee shop I've known before starting with the friendly staff and owner who always make you welcome and offer service with a smile and friendly chat and relaxing varied music not muzak! I cannot recommend Number 44 enough and always tell people to visit this small, friendly and exciting venue in the Bay and if your Vegetarian or Vegan I cannot recommend it enough and it's definitely somewhere that you should go out of your way to visit it, and though all the cakes are Vegan/Vegetarian suitable it doesn't mean that taste goes out the window, far from it these are the TASTIEST CAKES I've ever had and there is such a choice of the freshest cakes always available and the tastiest food. In short make sure you visit Number 44 if you visit or live in Colwyn Bay because it's the best and friendliest place in the Bay and definitely has to be tried

My daughter and I tried this new cafe and both agree we won't try it again. I had a fruit shake and my daughter had a breakfast shake. Both were tasteless. It's a strange place. The paintings are concerning and the music unusual. The menu is small. Service was friendly.

Nice relaxed space to enjoy one of many excellent coffees or fresh smoothies. Lovely warm welcome, would definitely recommend the home made cakes! Sandwiches fab too. If you're in the area this is a 'must' place to chill, relax and enjoy the many food and drink temptations!

What an amazing find in a little street right next to the shopping centre in Colwyn Bay. Number 44 is a really unique and chilled out coffee shop, serving the most excellent coffee from local roasters and a menu of brunch, lunch and afternoon tea items for all tastes and diets, for take away or you can sit down and relax in their fabulous art gallery area, read the papers or a book. Their cake shop offers an array of their own freshly baked cakes, with a fabulous selection for vegans and vegetarians which is one of Number 44's specialities apparently. That together with the loveliest staff to chat to, and some of the best music you'll ever hear in a coffee shop (they play vinyl records and an incredible selection of mix tapes put together by the proprietor). They also promote all kinds of cultural, music and food events in the evenings and at weekends, which sounds very interesting. Number 44 is a real asset to perk up Colwyn Bay - a town in desperate need of this kind of creative business. I was attracted by the stunning graphic art shop front design which was created by a legendary London graphic design artist apparently - reminds me of the little coffee shops in San Francisco. Love it.

Cafes are many. Good cafes are few. Number 44? is a great cafe. serving homebaked, delicious vegan and vegetarian cakes. And beautifully presented sandwiches, in a relaxed, welcoming, comfortable and very sociable banter filled atmosphere. A true gem of a cafe.

A traditional British pub. Lovely, interesting decore. Friendly staff. Absolutely fantastic food!! Both my partner's and my starter, main and pudding were delicious, which is an inadequate description! If you're in the area, eat here, you won't be disappointed!

The ice cream was awesome and very tasty! 😊 The only let down was that the staff could have been friendlier and more welcoming (it's my first time visiting Llandudno!).

We had our first takeaway from this restaurant and were very impressed. The food arrived freshly cooked hot and delicious. We will certainly be ordering again soon.
