Friendly cafe though not cheap at £2.30 for a cup of tea. Only toilet for some distance as all public toilets had been vandalised.

This is our local cafe , we love to go there for our lunch , staff are great nothing to much trouble . So friendly all of them . Food is good , love Mandy cheese n onion fritters yum yum .

Great little cafe on the front, just over the railway bridge at Pensarn beach. Good selection of meals including specials at good prices. Small gift shop for buckets, spades, flip flops. Lovely ice cream too. They do take away as well if you don't want to leave the beach.

We stopped for lunch whilst on holiday. This is the most friendly place to eat ever. The staff are amazing, so friendly and welcoming. The fish chips' curry sauce was the best ever. Lovely setting.. the staff are so very, very friendly. The girls waiting on and serving go above and beyond to ensure everyone is satisfied and happy during your time there. The staff show total equality and empathy to ALL customer needs. The way we witnessed them serving a regular daily visitor who is disabled was an absolute pleasure to have seen. The girls in question restored my faith in humanity. The none judgmental way they tended to the customer was above and beyond what care I have witnessed being given in care homes. On saying to the girls and staff that they are amazing with the young man at the time their simple answer was " hes part of the furniture in here hes here every day and we love him" !! My heart burst with pure admiration and and as a nannar too a young disabled boy it restored my faith in humanity to know that hopefully my grandson will feel this love and empathy in such a weiry world we live in... there should be more care giving people around not just for special people but for the entire community. The whole of the staff are all the same super friendly people 🙄 This is now my whole time place too go....xx God bless you xx

Had a lovely walk on the promenade at pensarn and stopped here for a brew and some chips. Lady on the takeaway hatch was nice and pleasant, and the food and drink was lovely ! Will definitely return when passing !

Nice cafe & takeaway offering a wide variety of choice. Food was fresh and delicious and the staff were friendly. Nice location on the North Wales coastal path and free car park next to the cafe.

This was such a great find, right on the beach and free parking with plenty of spots available. The staff were so lovely, nothing was too much trouble and the prices were really good too. Food was hot, delicious and generous, everyone was happy. I would 100% recommend and would definitely visit again.

Disappointed today. Cafe closing so opted for quick snack as menu and prices have increased, quality of food also below their standard. So sad as visit often 😢

Used to be good, but not anymore. The food wasn’t cooked, we all ended up with stomach aches. The orders were wrong and needed correcting (no apologies given) and the customer service was poor… they all look hot and over worked there but come on, at least if you can’t smile and be pleasant cook the food properly! Not hard!

Good quality food, nice friendly staff, good location on the beach front, near the castle,nice view of the sea, value for money . We enjoyed the tuna melt panini and the ham and cheese toastie and the lovely sundae ice creams.

Bustling and a little raucous, but only with families having fun. Food is classic British fair and excellent - piping hot. Staff are delightful, full of practical advice and attentive. A must.

After travelling with family throughout my childhood in Wales, and continuing on my own, I discovered this little gem for myself, going in mid-day there was a variety of seating available with an amazing atmosphere upon entry, with friendly conversation filling dining areas accompanied by the friendly greetings from staff. The food is deliciously homely and you enjoy your meal, The service was quick and prompt, coupled with smiles and friendly, faces and personalities. Highly recommend.

We visited both at the beginning and at the end of our holiday to Abergele/Pensarn/Towyn/Rhyl and honestly I couldn't recommend this cafe more! The service was so fast both times we visited, we sat outside on our first visit and it was quick and easy to order with lots of seating options and something for all the family. On our second visit we chose to sit inside, the staff were so friendly and helpful especially with making sure we were all sat comfortably with being a group of 7, and offered my little one colouring to do whilst we waited for our food. All of the food was hot, fresh, delicious and arrived really quickly! The coffees were also fabulously hot meaning that they were still hot after eating our meals and could enjoy them then! I think the only downside was the lack of vegetarian alternative options (i.e sausages) but this was made easy for our member of the group to swap around the items in her breakfast so she was totally chuffed with what she had! We purchased ice creams that we eat on the sea front, and gifts from the gift shop that were not overpriced at all! All in all, a must for families considering a visit to Abergele/Pensarn literally 2 minutes from the train station! We've already said we will all be returning next year when we have another family holiday!

We had 2 delicious full English breakfasts and when we asked for sauce they came in the little packets and they provided scissors to open the sauce never been to a place that offers that before needs an extra 5 stars for that, would deffo go again

An Abergele beach institution. Been calling in here for years. Great food and good value! The only place I know that gives you a pair of scissors to open your sauce! 🤣 Would definitely recommend.

We got mond schlods and gravy but they were awfully tasty. Too bad there's no vegan option other than baked beans.

This is my personal go to place when I'm on holiday. The atmosphere is epic. Food is FANTASTIC. Even when it's mid morning rush, your food gets to you warm. Will defo recommend them.

Ordered fish chips small sausage and curry curry was fruity curry the fish was a goldfish size there was about 20 chips and they charged nearly £12 shocked

Absolutely vile wouldn’t feed to the trocaire kids beans tasted like my dead cats balls fish finger was harder than a rock needed a saw to cut through the hot dogs chips were rotten and uncooked and everything was disgraceful felt like I was going to die after eating it

Have been coming to this cafe for years on my fathers anniversaryof his death, this time we were really disappointed with food and service, my mum did speak up as she was given the wrong thing and got attitude from a young member of the team, my fish and chips and couldn't eat chips were dry and bland and fish was loaded with batter and no taste to the fish, The owner was lovely and did come over to apologise for the girls attitude, shame really as it was a special day for me and my family

Been coming here for a number of years and always enjoyed breakfast. However of late the quality seems to have deteriorated whilst the cost has gone up. Full breakfast and a coffee is now over £10. Don't think I will be visiting as often at that price for food that is only average. Staff are great though and really attentive.

What a little gem this place is. Food is amazing.

Been here a few times over the years. I visited in February 24 and was pleasantly surprised. It's quite a large cafe with seating for around 40 to 50 people. It's looked a bit dated and weathered from the outside and could do with a bit of tidying up and a bit of paint but it's by the sea and I bet it's battered by the elements quite a lot. Inside is clean and well laid out and there are toilets too, which we're very clean and was impressed by the way they looked and smelt. The food came about 10 minutes after ordering and tasted very good. We had a pot of tea for two and this came with a spare pot of hot water for more tea if you wanted. The only thing I would say about the extra hot water is that you needed an extra teabag as the second cup was a bit weak. I asked for brown sauce with my breakfast and it came in one of those hard to open sachets, but the kind staff also brought a pair of scissors with the sachets to open them easier Overall a great place to have something to eat or drink

Definitely not restaurant quality food, in fact, I am convinced my food was brought in frozen food. Probably the only restaurant thing was being overpriced for fairly average fayre. Today I was asked by the waitress what I'd like. I ordered a panini and she asked me if I wanted salad or chips with it. I asked for chips and no mention of an extra charge was made. The food arrived, it looked average for a cafe, pale but warm chips and the thinnest panini I have ever seen. I ate it, tasted ok but the chips were bland. So, the problem came when I went to pay for the food. I was charged £11.30 for a panini which is £6.95 on the menu and £2.30 for an ordinary but unremarkable mug of tea and a charge of £2.05for the chips!! Really?? When I questioned this, the waitress said yes, the chips are chargeable and it is 'somewhere else on the menu ' and ' we assume everyone knows the chips are chargeable '. She shrugged and said sorry. I won't be going back, I don't appreciate being deceived, the food wasn't that good, it was overpriced. No, not ever.

IT REALLY IS A GREAT PLACE TO GET AWAY FROM ALL OVER THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF USUAL LIFE. AND BOTH MYSELF AND MY MUM LOVED THIS LITTLE BEACH SIDE CAFE THAT MUCH THAT WHEN, UNFORTUNATELY MY MUM PASSED AWAY WE SPREAD HER ASHES ON THE BEACH JUST OPPOSITE THIS LITTLE SMASHING CAFE. I ABSOLUTELY GIVE A SCORE OF 11 OUT OF 10 FOR THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE OF THIS AMAZING HIDEAWAY. THANKYOU TO ALL THE STAFF AND EMPLOYEES OF THIS CAFE.

Lovely seaside cafe, sweet staff, food good. Gluten free menu available but not much for veg/vegan. Overlooks the sea.

I've stopped here a couple of times cycling up the coast, and both times had been exactly what I needed. It serves no-nonsense food, quickly with friendly service and at a reasonable price. I've given it 5 stars because it does what it does really well.

The place is lovely abd clean. The staff there are very friendly and above all the food is very good.

Great place for refreshments and good clean food, service was excellent 👌, I've stopped here many times over a number of years.

Scones were mediocre, no butter as advertised but margarine instead, tea was exceptionally weak with one weak teabag between two people.

A great beach side cafe, full of holiday makers enjoying the sunshine and having a bite to eat. Can't fault the Full English breakfast, which thankfully was served all day. Very reasonable on the wallet too. All very tasty and washed down with a nice milky coffee. The serving staff are great, chatty and attentive. Call in the next you're there and you won't be disappointed.
