Novotel Manchester Centre in Manchester

This was such a good trip! Me and my family loved it . Thought just one thing to make sure when booking for ubers , they have a uber thing in there like a self survive thing , we paid for it and driver sadly didn’t arrive

Excellent service, location, cleanliness. The room was very comfortable for the 4 of us and the breakfast was very complete and varied. Bridget's attention is spectacular, not only the warmth of the treatment, but also the help she has shown us to organize ourselves better. His teammates are doing very well too. Congratulations!

Overall, I am delighted with my stay and the occupied room. Once again, the bedding was impeccable. The reception was nevertheless quite cold. The lady at reception didn't have much patience with us even though I didn't understand her. She got exasperated because I didn't spell my name using the military alphabet.

Good breakfast and good treatment from Bridget, we will repeat.

Very well located for trams to coop live. The rooms are large, all areas very clean. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Nice breakfast.

Only here for a training day so can not comment on rooms. Lovely conference suites and good selection of snacks provided with teas and coffee. Meal provided for lunch was buffet style and okay. Crackers were soft and some things had been out a while.

Special thanks to Stan for making our stay and visit in Manchester a wonderful experience! We visited the F&B for drinks and was greeted by Stan with warm welcome and conversation and excellent product knowledge of the menu. He just make our stay much more memorable and definitely coming back for the GEM service by Stan.

Popped by for a drink as we passed by… Stan made us the best cocktail we had in United Kingdom! Definitely a friendly staff and great on recommendation for Strawberry Daiquiri & Mojito made by Stan! He deserve a pay raise!

Lovely food and conference facilities in a central location

This is an email i just sent to Novotel. Am i in the right here? I am contacting you as I woukd like to raise a serious complaint about the treatment I received from the staff at your hotel, Novotel, Dickinson Street, Manchester. I checked in this evening with my husband and our 8 year old son. We are a same sex couple and we're travelling with out son and our dog. Wr had barely got to our room when the receptionist knocked on our door and said that one of us would need to come downstairs to prove our relationship with our son as we were a same sex couple. I asked for evidence or proof that this had been asked to all types of couples a d was repeatedly denied and told that they would ask the question, but hadn't asked the question as of yet. They asked to see his birth certificate or my 8 year old sons ID that relates to us. When I said I don't travel with an array of documents they insisted that I email documentation to them attached to the booking reservation. When I told them this would infringe on my rights under GDPR they said that they had the right to ask this. I asked to speak to the manger and he said that we might have been flagged because we could have been a potential risk. This is clear discrimination and an attempt by your staff to.imlede on my statutory and legal rights under the DPA 2018a in GDPR. Kind Regards

Excellent stay at Novotel wonderful staff really clean and comfortable room! Great location for our their stay! Enjoyed fabulous room service, great breakfast in the hotel & a very good bar meal! Staff were lovely very helpful and I would recommend! I like so much I will think about other shows at palace theatre Manchester as location is great and easy to see a show have a great stay and good food it’s easier than my home town and we had a great stay with lovely staff who I must thank & could not fault I recommend!

Great hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms.

I stayed here for just 1 night with my daughter in a superior twin room. The room was a good size. Beds were a little small, even for singles and pillows not very comfortable but fine for the one night. The bathroom was great with a lovely rainfall shower. There were plenty of tea and coffee facilities in the room, too. The location is absolutely fantastic for everything in the city centre and close to the main train station. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again

Great room, really modern and clean. Had a good night's sleep. Be aware though no discount is offered anymore on parking in Qpark. Paid £35 for our overnight stay!!! 😱

Room was good size with comfortable bed, although bathroom was tiny and opened.

Great location, exceptional service and smart hotel. Room was a little hot and no way to cool it down but it was clean and tidy and very comfortable.

Our first stay here- we usually stay at the hotel in Leeds. This hotel, in our opinion, is at least a star higher than the one in Leeds. On arrival we were met with a smile and the male receptionist says ‘welcome to Liverpool.’. Love his sense of humour! Check in was faultless and an acknowledgment of our Accor membership. With a free room upgrade. The hotel is spotless and the staff friendly. Breakfasts were lovely and plenty of gluten free options too. We will be back!

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Manchester. Bar great for watching sport in the big screens and the food I had was delicious

Great location at a very good price. Rooms were lovely, but find it a bit strange that toilet and sink are in separate rooms within the room.

Wow what a Gem. Right near the Chinese quarter and moments from the beautiful cobbled canal walkways adorned with festoon lights. 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly. The reception staff were great, friendly. Asked how I was ! Rooms are lovely , bed is super comfortable. A lovely place to unwind in comfortable sofas by the bar and all in all one of the best value for money hotels I have stayed in. If you are thinking of a staycation in Manchester, book the Novatel. Gym, sauna , steam room is a bonus ! ,

Brilliant and comfortable room. Nice bed, great shower. Very convenient for where we were going in Manchester. Only down side was that the Aircon didn't really work so the room was quite warm. Would definitely stay here again

The service was very good and the location was also great. The staff were excellent especially Halima Benzdira who was very helpful and a true hostess from our first contact. She was quick to respond to queries/questions and attended to our needs.

If i could give this 0 stars i would. Not because of the cleanliness of the rooms or anything but because of how incredibly rude the managers of the hotel are to their workers. They treat them like animals of some sort and give them no respect whatsoever. Im very disappointed and the managers should be sued for their behaviours.

Room 344 - I was a little surprised to find the toilet in a separate cubicle than the bath and sink, but otherwise the bed was comfy, the room quiet and the blackout curtains worked very well. The buffet breakfast was good, and the hotel staff professional and fun. Great city centre hotel

It was a great stay from start to finish, Pasquale & Valeria in reception was lovely and attentive, In the Bar everyone was excellent the whole team looked after us, Jane, Winnie, Joseph & Isaac such great team.

Only used this for conference space for a meeting. Well laid out room with plenty of drinks available. Selection of stationary available. All at a great price. Very pleased

This was my second stay at this hotel and I had another great experience. The location is fantastic – super convenient for exploring the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I did have a couple of minor issues: the TV wasn’t working, and there was some noise from the room upstairs. However, the staff were quick to address my concerns and upgraded me to a different room, which was a pleasant surprise! Really appreciated the attentive service. Definitely planning to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend for both the convenience and excellent service!

Great central location in Manchester, rooms are very nice and staff very helpful and friendly. Note, if you use the Q car park and are staying for a few days it's pretty expensive.

Great budget clean hotel with really good breakfast it’s a buffet. Staff was nice and we got served immediately. I have been here twice and I want to come another sometime in the future . Other then the towels being hard the experience was great. The beds were so soft and comfy. And the lady was very nice . (5/5)

The first thing I want to say is the rooms. They were fantastic,clean sheets,great tv,lots of space and..It was just like home,even better probably!Also when I first stepped in they welcomed us with SWEETS! You all at Novotel shall have a 5 star review. Lastly, the location was..Ok but our amazing view was looking at ANOTHER hotel, sooooo. Yeah.I would love to come here again in the future.Thank you.

Here on a course. Amazing three course meal organised by firm at lunchtime. Big dhout out yo the chef. Good refreshments and support from staff during the day too. Thank you.

The location is very convenient, the price is reasonable, the breakfast is also good, and all the hotel staff are very kind and friendly. It is worth recommending.

We only had breakfast here and I was not impressed. There were very few vegan options, the mushrooms were barely cooked to the point where I found dirt on them and some of the labels were incorrect.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. Staff- charming, welcoming and helpful. Even with the silliest simple question they are “at the guests service”. Cleanliness- exemplary as far as I was concerned. Room - spacious, modern, comfortable, well appointed. Extras in the bathroom including shaving kit, terrific! Breakfast - perfect English breakfast including black pudding ✔️ Exchange restaurant - perfect for tea, snack, full meal or just hanging out in. After twenty four hours it felt like home, and wandering in and out felt relaxing. I was both working and had a bit of “holiday time” and the Novotel hotel balances both sides of its functions with equal ease. Final words? Thank you to the friendly staff. ✔️

The staff at hotel is really polite and friendly.

I stayed at the Novotel Manchester Centre for two nights when attending a conference nearby. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly, and all the check-in, check-out processes ran smoothly. My room was very clean and spacious, and the bed was super comfy! Blackout curtains and a perfect sleep made me not want to get up in the morning, but alas I was there on business and not able to sleep in too late! I would definitely stay again, and would recommend to others based on the location and quality of service. I didn't have breakfast but I did have an evening meal there one night; I chose fish and chips and it was delicious. Thank you to all who made my stay seamless and enjoyable.

I stay here each time I go to Manchester as my Son lives there and usually its great but this time it was just me and my 2 daughters and I had to pay for 2 rooms as the app wouldn't let me book for 3 in a room even though it caters for 4 people. When i got there I explained that I only needed the 1 room but as my daughters are over 16 (19 & 21) that we couldn't have 1 room as the sofa bed is small for an adult which is absolutely ridiculous!! The sofa beds are in fact the same length as the beds and I told her I would be sleeping with my kids regardless but she wouldn't issue a refund for the 2nd room. They also put 1 room on 1st floor and the other on 3rd floor so I dragged the cover and pillows down from 1 room to the other and stayed on the sofa bed which was in fact plenty big enough and I'm a big lady. So all in all a room was left empty all night and a waste of over £100 when there was a simple solution to the situation. Maybe its time for a change in venue in the future 🤔

We stayed with ye for 3 days and it was a great trip. The hotel was lovely the staff were fab especially Rodrigues, Ralph and Stan. Will will definitely be back.

Faris on reception, Ion (chef) and breakfast team - Robin, Fily, Joseph and Ritchie were all very friendly and helpful. Ion cooked 2 perfect poached eggs and I was really impressed by all the hotel staff. They were lovely even though the hotel is busy.

The food here is a stand-out element. It appears to be cooked to order on premises, rather than bulk-made and heated like so many other hotels these days. The wait staff were also very helpful and attentive.

Stayed here one night. No mains water from 7am until after 10:30am. No apology or attempt to provide at least some bottled water to the room. No apology at check out or offer of compensation. The staff in this hotel really do not give a damn.

This is a great hotel. Really well located, surprisingly quiet and the room and food very good. Both my breakfast and evening meal were spot on - in fact the fish and chips was very, very fresh and tasty. The service too is excellent and Valeria on reception was super helpful, with lots of smiles and just delightful. What a gem.

Great place to stay if you're looking to be in the centre of town. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast surprisingly good. Occasionally we had an odd smell in the rooms, but nothing too bad. I would definitely stay here again.

Just had another amazing stay! We were upgraded to a fantastic family room for free and the staff were as friendly and welcoming as always. This hotel is definitely my top choice for stays in Manchester!

Visited for breakfast buffet on three occasions. Friendly, efficient staff. Good was really well done, though more veggie and vegan options, including more fresh fruit, would improve the choice.

Very dirty , poor and bad food , location is gd somehow

Loved this place, the staff were fantastic, nothing was a bother, we needed some more pillows and within minutes a lady came to our room. The room was clean and cozy, also had a little fridge, which most places don't. Very central, so close to shops, restaurants e.t.c. Breakfast was lovely, fruit was so fresh. It's like they had thought of everything. Being vegetarian I asked for veg sausages, which again were there in minutes. Would highly recommend the place.

The hotel's location in the city center is excellent, as it is within walking distance of everywhere. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. I want to express my gratitude to Maggie and Kit for their assistance during check-in and for patiently explaining the hotel facilities to me. As a tourist in Manchester, they also shared valuable information about the city, which has been incredibly helpful for my visit.

We used the Novotel for our church's (PETRA CHRISTIAN CENTRE) Festival convention. We used the Whitworth room. It had writing materials and writing pads. Still and sparkling water with more than enough glasses. Their screen and our system were able to connect without hassle. The controls, such as temp and volumes, were easily navigated from our phones. The rooms are well padded and sound-proofed. We were able to praise and worship God comfortably.
