Great location, excellent food. This place changed my experience about Italian restaurants. I really enjoyed the food here and the portions were so much and we were filled. The staff were very professional. Totally recommend.

A very nice restaurant. Had lunch. Good menu variety. The mixed seafood linguine was very nice. Good service at a reasonable price.

I've been there a couple of times now and it's just so good. The food is just the best I've had in absolute ages and the staff are so friendly. I definitely would recommend going as it's not expensive and the quality is better than most places.

Went for a meal with friends 17th August on the evening, all our food was delicious, couldn't fault anything from start to finish, will definitely return.

Food was amazing, staff were very friendly and can not believe the prices for a city centre restaurant. We definitely recommend and will be back again.

A very enjoyable visit with good food & service at a reasonable price. Only downside was that my beer was served from a can but didn't accept it. It was replaced with a draught beer without any fuss.

Lovely food but the guy who took our order was a right miserable git😳, doesn't cost anything to smile!

Ordered a chicken parmo, salmon chowder and peri peri chicken - massive portion sizes, accommodating for halal requirements and quick / friendly service! very quiet .

Excellent all around cannot fault anything food is delicious and great value for money also great kids menu will definitely be back again.

Gorgeous food, great deals and friendly helpful staff

First time here and pleased to say it was perfect service great staff lovely even with 2 little children they got free ice cream !!! Even when little ones made mess on floor with food the staff were great no tuts or looks of them overall great

My Wife and me decided to try this today,there was an offer on 3 course for £8:95. It was quiet but nice,the staff where polite.As of the food what can I say except lovely,tasty fresh. I would advise anyone to go along and try this deal. I had the Brushetta which was fresh tasting on the palate.My wife had soup of the day which was tomato with red pepper. She had a spaghetti Bolognese and I went for the pizza.The final course Taramasu we had to take home because couldn't eat it just so full. How they can afford to do this for only £8:95 I don't know but the portions are not skimped on either is the quality. Nice experience with friendly staff and lovely food 10 out of 10.

Lovely place for a bit of lunch, nice staff and ambiance! I had the salmon and broccoli tagliatelle wow! The lunch time special menu is such good value 👌🏼

Other restaurants take note! £8.95 for a 3 course dinner menu, I would of happily paid double! Food was amazing, fresh and tasty. I will definitely be back.

Been here twice recently for a birthday and Valentine's Day. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and food is brilliant. The pricing is outstanding considering the quality of the food. Excellent deals on for happy hour and the cocktails are spot on, will be back again :)

Been for the first time today for the £8.95 special and it was amazing value for money. Service was great, staff attentive and the food was delicious. Has to be the best value for money place to eat in Middlesbrough. Highly recommend and we'll be back again soon. Thank you!

Fast service and kind staff. Parmos are bit crispy but definitely recommended.

Good food reasonably priced friendly staff

There were about 15 of us- it was pre booked. Would recommend. Lovely food, big portions, attentive and friendly service and close to the University (we walked from there - only a couple of minutes). Varied menu- including alcohol- and also high chairs available (we didn’t need them but I noticed them). I would recommend and would definitely go back. I wasn’t able to speak to the manager on the night (I did ask) but I do wonder if calling one of the dishes the “ladies parmo” can be reconsidered. I understand it’s meant to be the smaller version of the “parmo” chicken dish but in reality it wasn’t that much smaller and perhaps it’s best just to call them small or large (or starter or main portions). The wording feels a bit out of touch and dated otherwise. That said, I would still return regardless of the wording as it was very tasty and a relaxing atmosphere despite us being the noisiest table there :)

We were here Friday evening the 29 th of December, a party of four , I’m still recovering from severe food poisoning have had to call the doctor twice in three days , saying that everyone else Was fine apart from my other half having a bit of a queasy tummy the next day the mere fact that some of your other customers have had food poisoning also ,suggests you have a food hygiene problem somewhere

Came with my partner on a busy new years eve. Service was brilliant and the food was amazing. Some of the best fillet steaks we have ever had.

Popped in for a family lunch for 6 of us. The service was very good and the food even better. This was my 1st visit and I'd have no hesitation in coming back again. Everything arrived promptly and everything we had was absolutely delicious

The food here is unreal, the only reason I have knocked a few stars off is because of one or two staff members who fail be very welcoming, it really is a shame as some of the staff are incredible and very smiley and very welcoming. If this could be worked on this place for me would be thee place in Middlesbrough to go with friends and family for any event.

I'd seen the £8.95 three course meal being advertised and thought that seems cheap it can't be that good well I was wrong the food was gorgeous and there was plenty of it,the staff were friendly and attentive I couldn't fault this place will definitely be visiting again

I like this place more as a proper restaurant rather than the lunch time place (Mon-Fri) it is trying to be. Please remember, most people at work have a lunch hour; sending out food, after 40-50 mins doesn't work for them! On the flip the quality of the food is spot on and the staff work hard.

My daughter and I visited yesterday and were very impressed with the food and the service. My daughter is coeliac and was given a wide choice of gluten free options. She chose pepperoni pizza and chips while I had fish and chips, both were delicious. We'll definitely visit again next time we're in the area

We had a great time celebrating a birthday and they helped provide great customer service because of this. The staff are really friendly too which makes the experience worth while Thank you and would definitely be back again

Went yesterday for the 3 course lunch deal.Very dissappointed.Tastleless garlic bread, lasagne well all stringy cheese on top, very chewy.Hardly any mince, no layers of lasagne sheets.Also sticky toffee pudding dry and stodgy, no custard.Absolutely awful food.Would not return.Very disappointed.

Food good as always, but service was unfortunately slow

Service was really good but I cannot tell same about food. Spaghetti carbonara wasn't creamy enough. Sauce was like watery milk . Tortellini tasted worse like one I can buy in supermarket. We didn't even finished our meals only because of taste. The chef need to be replace or this food need to be take off the menu. This was far from Italian pasta and tortellini.

Just been today 4 of us food was great 8.95 3 course meal .. even better no forced tip added to the bill ..we still tipped though.. won't get better for this price deffo coming back

Porzioni molto abbondanti, tutto veramente ottimo a parte l'aglio un poco bruciato nel pane all'aglio. Cinque stelle meritatissime al personale, tutti gentili e sorridenti, lavorano benissimo. Cinque stelle anche al prezzo e al locale, molto pulito e ben arredato.

Sat outside and we ordered 1 lunch special (I had the tomato soup and spaghetti bolognaise) and 1 fish & chips. The soup was rich and flavourful, but a little too acidic. The spaghetti bolognaise was great, and the portion was massive - well worth the price. The fish and chips was quite good for an italian restaurant. The only complaint is that the servers, while friendly and helpful, didn't check on the customers outside enough, but it seemed like a very busy shift, so I don't blame them. Overall, I was quite pleased and would come again.

Love this place! I've been here a good few times. Food is amazing, all made fresh to order. Their deal for starter, main and dessert is so worth it, just make sure you have an appetite 🤭. The staff are so welcoming too.

Family meal with loud music from next door, kinda a good night

Looking for a place to eat in downtown Middlesborough, ended up here because we didn't need a reservation, looked like they didn't mind outrained tourists and had a nice atmosphere. Once inside it was very very loud. It was difficult to understand each other. But the service was just fine, we had about 5 different waiters and they were all friendly and helpful. The menu was very large, mainly Italian inspired. The food we had, was very good ( pasta and chicken dish).

Incredible place. The quantity and quality are excellent. We will be returning. Long live Novello! NB be warned, the garlic bread starter is the size of a pizza and will keep the vampires away for a month!

I highly recommend this place. The people were very friendly. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The pizza tasted great and looked amazing. You could tell that it was fresh ingredients. Make sure to save room for desserts; you'll want them too. Great food, great environment - Don't miss it.

Tried this restaurant for the first time today. Me and my sister had the 3 course meal served from 12pm-5pm. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Will definitely be coming back regularly.

Terrible service girl who served was rude and laughed in my face when I complained my wife is only petite and doesn't eat very much and to be told what I can and can't do with my food is disgusting I did opt for the Happy hour but was rudely told that if I shared with my wife I would have to pay full price its not the money that is the issue its the fact at been told what you can and can't do with your food I'm the one paying after all . I mean would they have preferred me to go in and order 3 starters and and pay less or pay what I ended up paying then told its the owners policy and there's nothing they could do as he watches everything on the cameras correct me if I'm wrong but been told you are been watched whilst you are eating is wrong in my eyes I mean do we all go out to have a nice relaxing meal. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK AND DEFINITELY NOT THE SAME POLITE STAFF THAT IT WAS WHEN IT WAS UNOS. RUDE -YES POLITE -NO MARKS OUT OF TEN -1

Went out for something to eat at tea time and thought Id give this place a Try as we saw it being put together. Im glad I did. The welcome was warm, the service from Eddie was friendly amd professional.. he could do enough for us.. so accommodating. Then ghe food came... it was Lovely, warm and tasty... definitely making this place a regular :)
