My pa and I were in Harris, and the hotel could not guarantee a table in the restaurant.

The food was excellent. But pricey. Its also incredibly busy. We only got in because we were willing to eat as soon as they opened and had an open table. The food is beautifully presented, tasted incredibly good and desert is wonderful.

15/10/2018: The menu was interesting but at the same time offered familiar dishes. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I note the comment about the lack of responses on Trip Advisor from the restaurant but the dismissive attitude suggested was not in evidence when we were there. It may well be that a decision has been taken not to respond to any reviews on TA which may well be a wise decision since I've had a couple of responses to my reviews where the owner/manager clearly got the wrong end of the stick.
12/10/2018: Just wonderful. From front of house to waitresses the staff are cheery, knowledgeable and fun. The food is simply wonderful, the menu is fabulous - as a main course the Salmon was just perfect. Eating before 1830hrs allows you a fixed price £24.50 for 3 courses. I have been before and was not disappointed. Booking is the key here to avoid disappointment!

29/09/2018: Great quality in such an olut of the way place. worth finding. Cozy with quality food. A traveller's highlight.
11/10/2018: We arrived at the end of the season and just managed to catch this little gem before it closed. We had lunch there two days and had lovely homemade soup, quiche and salad and cake! All homemade. Really nice owners and staff and efficient service. Great music tracks played too. It is in a really nice building overlooking the water and they have outside seating if a nice day. There were visitors and locals both eating and many return visitors. It is up for sale which is a shame. Hope whoever takes it over keeps up the standards.
