North Bar in Aberdeenshire

I was looking forward to dining at the North Bar but what a let down. Food was acceptable but the service was dismal, waiting for 30 mins at least for a drink, the waitress kept saying there is only 2 on the bar....... not my problem, so for over 1 hour we had 2 drinks. The owner was present as I seen her deliver food to a table but she had no interest in engaging with customers. Would I return, I would very much doubt it. Such a shame as it could have been a good opportunity in Peterhead.

Absolutely beautiful decor! The vibe was so nice, everyone was chill enjoying themselves. Staff couldn't be more nice or helpful. I was just disappointed with my meal. On the menu it was £17 for fresh local fish and chips (fish supper), however that's not what I was served. I was given cod and the chips(over done/greecy) seemed to be frozen ones from a supermarket. My partner however enjoyed his meal and I do wonder if the bar meals are different from the restaurant? (We sat in the bar) I do hope things improve as we were later told its not been open long and they've had teething problems. I also noticed there's not proper baby changing facilities and not disabled access at the front/main door. (Not sure if there is anywhere else). I do wish the north team the very best and hope they can sort out their teething problems because this place could be absolutely amazing once a few tweeks are made :)

Lovely time spent last night at the North Bar. First class meal and the service was brilliant. Very professional and attentive staff all night considering how busy it was. Will definitely be back.

Thought we would try after it’s been open for a while, I know there were some teething problems which can only be expected with a new place. However thought things might have improved. Really like the idea of the place and there’s definitely the need for something like this. We were a group of 5 dinning, the restaurant side of the premises was chilly. We ordered drinks and waited quite a while for them, seems like a another table had ordered lots of cocktails which had caused the delay. Anyway our food arrived, two of the girls ordered steaks, they said they were ok. Another had the salmon which was supposed to come with hassle-back potatoes but just came with roasted. Another had the Caesar salad so pretty hard to get wrong. I had the Baku Flame towers. Which was rather disappointing. Greasy and not much flavours and over cooked. Some of the girls had dessert which looked ok. Overall, would we return sadly probably not. Maybe set our expectations too high for this place.

First visit to the North bar in Peterhead for festive lunch with friends. Delicious food served on warmed up plates by our lovely server. We had two courses but wasn't rushed at all with a welcome break in between. We also sampled some drinks from the cocktail menu which were beautifully made and tasted lovely. Very friendly staff, beautiful surroundings - we will be back again

Awful. No other words for it. £21 for what? Waitress okay. The owner too full of his own importance to care about his paying customers.

Went for a few drinks on Saturday night. Great selection of draught beers,spirits and good cocktails. Nice chilled atmosphere in the bar. Good sized flat screen TV for the football. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered wine only to be informed 10 minutes later not available. Chose others and waitress returned with different wine from what we had ordered,uncorked. Had to wait an hour for starters to arrive which were nothing special. Main courses were just okay. We decided not to order coffee or deserts. We would not return as staff not trained in service and food was nothing special. Suggest patrons should go elsewhere to eat.

Service was extremely slow, we were on the verge of leaving as we waited over 30 mins just to get a drink, our starters took over and hour to come then the main course a further 50 mins after that. The waiters/waitresses were not very attentive we tried many times to get their attention to order more drinks. When the wait is so long for food the least you should have is a drink, not sitting with empty glasses. We ordered the Azeri sharing platter as our main, the chicken and beef was very dry. Left disappointed

Fantastic evening with friends . Cocktails freshly made and delicious . Dinner was amazing . Service was great . We were made very welcome by all staff and owners . What a fabulous place . Will be returning soon .

Avoid if you want your meal quickly! We were a group of 10 women out for a meal to celebrate two of said group starting new jobs. Firstly we got told someone would bring our drinks over. We waited half an hour for them. Then the first meal arrived half an hour after that. The rest of us waited, and waited, and waited. Eventually they came with some of the meals except two. One woman cancelled hers as she was fed up waiting. The other one was me. I got a fish that was so small I finished it in 3 bites! Also they advertise chunky home made chips. Ha ha. They're the same ones you get in McDonald's! Another woman had to get her meal reheated as it was cold. We complained to manager about all these negatives but he kept making excuses. He told us not to bother paying and to get out and never come back! Dinnae worry pal we've nae intentions o coming back!!
