The pizzas are amazing. Try the fried pickles … so good!

Been around for drinks only on one of the busy Saturdays and got to admit it is one of the hidden gems in Merchant City! Cool atmosphere with old school vibe , great selection of drinks and friendly staff. Looking forward to come back for some proper scran. Update - the menu is simple yet great choices, we treated ourselves to camembert pizza and it was absolutely splendid, fresh dough and cooked to perfection.

Went on a weekday early lunch time so only a few people in. Great deal, £5 for a pizza and drink. Definitely recommend

The place and the staff are very nice but we were very disappointed by the vegan cheese. The crust also had quite a burnt taste. If you are only vegetarian we recommend to take the dairy cheese with the vegan meats. The prices are correct, especially for students.

The food was just incredible. We tried the vegan Bratwurst Pizza, the vegan Philly pizza, deep fried pickles and the vegan salt and chillie fries. It was truly divine. The cocktails were so good too, it was hard not to order another round. Blown away by the flavours of each item. We will be back!

Little wait time for food to arrive whether the restaurant was busy or not. I ordered sides with my main courses as I was worried it may not be a good portion however I was delightfully proved wrong. Staff were very polite and welcoming upon arrival and made sure our visits were excellent. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

We were looking for something to eat with visiting family and I remembered about Nonna Said... We went to try it out and absolutely loved it. The service was amazing from the moment we entered that staff were kind and courteous. We ordered the 3 plates for £18 and let me tell you it was great value for money. I have the Lasagne Fritta, Nonna Dried Pickles and Salt and Chill chicken tenders. I had a Purple Burglar Alarm cocktail to wash it down. This is definitely a place I'll be revisiting.

There are several good pizza places in Glasgow but Nonna Said is definitely near the top of the list. The vibrant atmosphere is really cool too - it reminded me a lot of Portland, Oregon. The food is legitimately delicious. I was skeptical but we ordered a capriciosa and a nonna kebab pizza and both were far better than I expected; the ingredients were actually really high quality and very fresh. Plus our meal was amazing value (we paid £28 for 2x pizzas, 1x side and a few drinks). They even have 30% student discount from Sundays to Wednesdays (I’m a PhD student so definitely coming back!).

Had a great hot dog at lunch, great service and very tempting lunch deal that the others got and really enjoyed.

Location is fab and service was excellent, however the food was not the tastier. There was definitely too much vegan cheese on both the pizzas we ordered and it was hard to taste any other of the ingredients on top. The pizza dough was good tho, I’d definitely give it another try.

Walked in with some friends while looking for a place to eat. Wasn't expecting much but food really blew us away, ended up ordering more than we could eat. Our server Zach was hilarious, place was starting to fill up but he made time to chat with us, really made us feel welcome. Definitely be back again!

Absolutely love that they have a separate vegetarian/vegan menu (including specials) that is pretty much their main menu but adapted! The pizza’s were massive and the staff extremely efficient and fast. Will be back to try the rest of the menu! Also the restaurant itself is fantastic, lots of cool street art and funny cartoons and a street fighter arcade cabinet!

Honestly never heard of this place until my wife suggested it for lunch - looked at the menu and thought to myself ah right this'll do, didn't know what to expect, it says it's a pizza place but it's so much more! First, the pizza, yes, it was on point, the sauce was unique and delcious and the crust was fantastic. But the other food I had (chicken fajitas/garlic, chili and lime fries) were absolutely incredible! Vibe was fantastic, they had a free street fighter arcade machine, so got my game on before my meal showed up. Would defintely go back!

The BEST pizza we've ever had. I would go all the way back to Glasgow just to go back here again! Theres amazing vegan options available, aswell as non vegan options. I'm just sorry we couldn't tip as we didn't have any change.

Nice place, and a bit of a different offering - especially when trying to get some different kinds of veggie food. A bit pricey, especially for drinks but I'd go again if I was after some comfort deep fried veggie options (especially the battered gherkins 🤌)

Sigh. I always try to see the best in businesses but in all honesty this will be a challenging write. While the bar/restaurant is nicely decorated with a cool vibe, I wish everything else was on par. There are significantly better places in Glasgow for this style of pizza at a similar price point. Everything was overpriced, over-promised and under delivered. The same is applicable for the rest of the menu. I genuinely hope it gets better and I wish them well because the potential is there if they just lose the "gimmickyness" of it all, invest in better quality ingredients and address portion size in relation to price. Until then it's a no for Nonna from me.

Great pizza, atmosphere is great as well. Sad to go there for lunch instead of later in the evening to see what it's like with more people about. Music was great and so was the staff.

Came in by chance one day, Loved the vibe of the place, servers where very friendly, lots of cool cocktails to try and made to order pizzas, was reasonably priced as well. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for something a bit different.

Came in for the one shot DnD sessions they run at the ends of the month. First time coming and will gladly be back! Got the Jamaican pizza, was just spicy enough for me! Highly recommend

Had the place to ourselves in a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. Delicious pizza! A little greasy for our liking but flavor was good.

If you want mouth watering pizza this is the spot. I only found out about it BC the club I was staying was handing out free pizzas at the corset club. And my goodness I've never had a better pizza since. If you go to Nona said on the weekend they do £5 pizzas and after 9 pm they also give out free pizza if you buy a drink 😆.

Friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant is very dark, more night/ going out vibes. Salt and chilli chips are 10/10.

Came across it by accident, when heading back to the car from a day out in Glasgow. Quirky decor and great music. It is a real gem on a place, fairly short menu, but the food was great. We had a few of the smaller plates, and the classic hotdog, and it was all fab, with amazingly fast and super friendly service to boot. The homemade ice tea was also great. Defo one to return to. We didn’t have room for the pizzas, but they looked excellent too.

I was really looking forward to my visit here after hearing great things about the food. We walked in at lunch and got the coldest greeting I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Despite having two children we didn’t get any kids menus, so after sitting a while I eventually got up and went over to get them from the one staff member present. We sat again for a while, and weren’t approached for a drinks order. The one member of staff there then wandered off and dealt with a JustEat delivery order. After another 5 mins with no staff in sight we got up and walked out. There was only one other table of customers in the place, so it wasn’t exactly busy, so that can’t be used as an excuse. Won’t be back- many other options in the area!

Fantastic! Food was amazing and great value. Service was spot on too. And all topped off with a great atmosphere - loved the vibe of the place. Will definitely be back.

Amazing pizzas & the staff are lovely

Disappointing first time here. Not super busy but perhaps short-staffed as drinks order took over 45mins to arrive (party of 7). Food followed shortly after which was ok by some but not enjoyed by others (veggie options). Little communication even to acknowledge the wait. Didn't want to hang around for a second round of drinks! Where we were seated it was dark, noisy, couldn't hear one another speak.

Visited on a 5pm offer. Great value. Pizza are great, made to order & plenty topping, (some unusual toppings). Tried the deep fried breaded lasagne! Great but think my cholesterol shot up! Wine well chilled. Staff lovely & friendly. Recommend

What a great place I had the salt and chilli hot dog which was amazing and the pizzas looked awesome too, the lasagne bites are an amazing snack, the decor is pretty cool always something to see, deffo give it a visit.

Awful pizza. We ordered Lasagna and Ham&Pineapple, very poor amount of meat, sour pineapple, not tasty sauce 😖 Highly not recommended

Pizzas were excellent, and nice bottle of wine. This was our second visit,and would highly recommend a visit. The staff were really very good.

Fun vegan pizzas, not astounding quality but very tasty. Mostly fake meats ect but I enjoyed. Cheap and cheerful, great quality and selection for the the price! We have the date night deal which was a great deal!

Came here to try out their new menu, absolutely loved it! The new additions of hot dogs and fajitas are such a good choice, and both tasted incredible! We were served by both Kerry and Zach, super friendly and very helpful! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

This is my first negative review. We were not impressed or satisfied with the service or food at this restaurant at all. Small portions, sticky surfaces, and we felt completely ignored by staff. The attitude from staff was also not friendly at all. I would suggest any fast food restaurant before I would recommend a meal from here. Also not cheap!

Me and my boyfriend went for some food here and loved it! The pizza was out favourite. Zack and Audrey were our waiters and their service was amazing

was our first time visiting as we had heard good things, the guy who seen us to a table was lovely, followed by our server Audrey being efficient, speedy, and kind. The place is comfortable with good music and our food was to die for, cannot recommend enough

Very modern interior with hip hop vibes on walls and music. Decent prices and tasty food. The only negative are the sizes of the side dishes in the deal 3 for £17.. if you choose wrong, you might end up hungry.

not sure if it was just a bad day but the takeaway we got wasn't great. a shame bc the vegan pizza selection is massive! maybe will try again another time but not for us the time we got it. camembert & hot honey side we got was nice!

Gunpowder fries are the best. They have great prices and student discounts from Sunday to Wednesday.

Disappointed in general. 1st drink had to wait 20 mins then not what ordered. 2nd drink another long wait and was watered down as basically a glass of ice. Went to bar to see next drink be poured so knew was getting what asked for and refused to buy drinks as”too busy to serve” as had big rounds to service.. not encouraging to stay and eat so left. Too many other places to go that don’t refuse to serve cause busy. Very disappointing

The food is very cheaply made but definitely a cool menu and a cool atmosphere. Would definitely have enjoyed the chewy flavourless pizza after a few more beers.

Visited Nonna Said for the first time yesterday and we were blown away with the delicious food and drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive, and there was a great atmosphere in this quirky venue. We will definitely be back for more! ❤️

Fabulous food. Really unusual pizza flavours and combinations that you don’t see anywhere else. We really loved the Camembert & hot honey garlic pizza & the Philly steak pizza. We also thought the carbonara fritta was outstanding, along with the salt and chilli chicken smiley faces. Couldn’t fault it one bit. Great service & they even had a magician for entertainment. Would note that it is dark in there particularly now the nights are earlier! Good music & vibes in the restaurant.

I visited today for the first time with my husband and three children. It was for my son's birthday and we chose to come here because my son loves his pizza. The staff were welcoming and couldn't be more obliging even though we were in at a time that was beginning to pick up and get busy. The staff went out of their way to make my son's birthday special and I can't thank them enough. Next visit will be date night as my husband was loving the music 🎵😊 The food is not only authentic, fresh and tasty but very reasonably priced for the Merchant City. The decor is unique with a modern twist on street art, gaming and hip hop with cosy booths and benches with bar stools for people to dine at. The additional features of pool tables, air hockey, table top football and an old school game machine were great additions to the restaurant. Thank you for a lovely meal and we will see you again soon.

Don’t Recommend Went as a group of 4, served fast and was seated within a minute of entering. The vibe was alright place was mostly empty people-wise and furniture-wise; our order was forgotten somehow having only one pizza arrive in 45mins. Had to look for a server to find out where the rest of the order was 25mins later to which they hadn’t even started it even with the place having only a few other people. Food was mediocre and the menu lacking. Staff like to sit about round the one pizza oven doing nothing.

Was here on sunday night. The food was lovely and came quickly. However, nobody asked did we need other drinks, I think we were sitting for 40 minutes after we had finished our food, no matter how many times i tried to raise staff attention it seemed the were ignoring me! after sitting with our empty plates for 40 minutes i decided to call a staff member politely, after several “excuse me!” they finally stopped ignoring us. Really disappointed. Shouldn’t have to shout in a place to get the service you pay for.

Come here every day for lunch break and always good tasting food with excellent service definitely would recommend to anyone especially their £5 lunch time menu, Jonathan especially has been great help as he’s always in when we are in.
