Nonna Rosas in Croydon

I was driving through Coulsdon earlier today when I noticed this place. It looked like it was nicely done up and looked very clean. I fancied a coffee but was undecided as to exactly what one but after speaking to Manuele I decided on a latte. I’ve been to all of the mainstream coffee shops but honestly have to say that this latte knocked spots off of all of them. I even felt compelled to see if they have a website, which they do. I can see myself becoming a regular when I am passing. I highly recommend a visit.

What a gem to find on the quiet morning streets of Coulsdon.... a genuine, cost Italian cafe oasis! Angelo displays all the authentic Italian care and hospitality you'd expect. Then there's the trays of homemade pasta I wish I had time to try. On holidays from Oz, Daniel

What a wonderful little Italian cafe! The service was so warm and friendly and the pasta is delicious. I can also recommend the melanzane parmigiana. If you in the area this is a must. Can’t wait to go back!!!!

Lovely Italian coffee store run by a lovely family. So friendly and personable. Great Pasta! And an amazing Latte which was made with care and attention. The cakes were a lovely sight also.

Beautiful little spot that was recommended to us a few times, so warm and accommodating, food was brilliant and the coffee was outstanding.

I was treated to an amazing afternoon tea by my friend at this lovely, friendly cafe. It was beautifully set up on a 3 tier cake stand and included a selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones with cream and jam and fruit kebabs, which were a refreshing touch. There were pretty flowers on the table too. Presented by Mary, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea experience and would highly recommend it. Thank you.

We chose this cafe because my friend had been here many years ago. Overall it looked like a nice place, clean with spaced out tables, and it felt friendly based on those that were in eating or drinking. The menu, whilst basic, looked inviting and appetising. The lady running things, who may have been Nonna, was warm and friendly and knew her stuff. She asked questions about our order to make sure we received exactly what we wanted. The food and drinks did not disappoint. The charges were fair and reasonable. As the title goes, the place felt friendly enough to be like being at my Mum's place.

Been here quite a few times and the food has always been good, especially the pasta dishes that are made on the premises.

Had a really lovely pasta lunch with my family (children under 6 eat free) and had some great ice cream and cannoli for dessert. Lovely, friendly service and really reasonable prices. Such a lovely little cafe. It closes at 3.30pm so it’s best for lunch, coffee and cake. I see that they’ve started doing afternoon tea too - will return for that soon! You can also buy pastas and chocolates and other Italian food goodies.

If you are stopping for coffee and a chat with friends beware this place does not have a toilet even though they keep saying they are fixing it. I give up as after 2 cups of coffee I need the loo! It is ILLEGAL to operate a cafe without a toilet and this has been going on for years!! I am surprised no one has reported them to the council.

My son and I enjoyed the most lovely lunch. It was delicious and the service was wonderful. I finished my excellent Italian meal by enjoying the best coffee I have had in years.I would give this cafe six stars if I good and cannot recommend it enough.

Fabulous service as always from Mary, introduced some fab additions to the menu for us to try a lovely Arancini spiced dish served with slices of new potatoes, rocket and radish with a light drizzle of balsamic vinegar Yummy plus I had a ham, tomato and Halloumi Panini again absolutely delicious defo a recommended try when you’re next visiting or passing through Coulsdon town

Really good place for coffee, pasta, panninis. Popular with the cycling community. Food is home made and very tasty.

Just popped in instead of Nero’s for a coffee. Wow! What reception! I feel like part of the family now and have enough food to last a week! Such gorgeous food a the coffee is well worth to extra two minute walk. Seriously try this place or you are missing out!

Staff were friendly and accommodating for my 2 year old son. Service was efficient, food amazing and they even went out of their way to get my son a serving of ice cream and, to top it off, children eat free! They even do outside catering, definitely one for the list when it comes to our son's 3rd birthday!

We popped in for a bite to eat on Sunday afternoon. We asked for the special, but it had sold out so we were offered a bespoke alternative which was delicious. The service was excellent, portion size is perfect. A great little find that we will certainly return to.

Wow what an Italian delight very welcoming and very reasonably priced meals... Had a fab stuff mushroom and stuffed aubergine totally tasty and satisfying

I never knew Coulsdon to have a good Cafe, well it clearly has done for a while. Excellent freshly prepared authentic Italian dishes, they have a good range of pasta, lasagne, soups set out in their deli counter. On the top excellent cakes & canolis, coffee is good as well. They have a small shop attached where you can get original Italian ingredients, bought bottled sauces and a take out for dinner. If passing by well reccomended to drop in.

This cafe has the best cafe food in Coulsdon. The pasta tasted very authentic and was really good. It is also very reasonably priced and welcoming for people with children. Children under 6 get to eat a half portion of food for free. The portion sizes are good. My children had the pasta with meatballs which I also tried and was really nice. I ordered the Parmiggiana which was really tasty too.

Absolutely exceptional service - it was almost closing time and Mary took the time to make a custom dish. One of the most enjoyable lunches I’ve had in a long time, I’ll definitely be going back!

Always very friendly and food is yummy and reasonably priced. My children love the cheesy pasta with peas and the meatball pasta is a winner with all of us. Also nice selection of cakes! Will definitely be returning.

We've been to Nonna Rosa's many times and are never disappointed. Our 3 year old gransdson loves it and what's more he eats for free. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much troExcellent spot for lunch.uble.

Stopped here for lunch the other day. All the food in the counter looked very tired and tiny portions are just microwaved to death. My lasagna was inedible half of it was cold, half reheated until hard!! The prices are high and portions are small, won’t be going again.

Lovely range of coffee and cake and a proper Italian ‘feel’. Bit noisy if sitting outside - busy Brighton Road, overhead trains and loud garage nearby.

Passed Nonna Rosa's Cafe on the high street. Took friends visiting from Bournemouth and really enjoyed Saturday brunch. Good menu selection and big serving. Owner was very welcoming. We'll definitely be returning!

Went here when our little girl was first born

The food served here is absolutely incredible. A real taste of Italy. The service is second to none, the staff are extremely polite and the cafè is very clean and tidy. You can also purchase Italian produce from the cafè such as pasta, pasta sauces, Pannatone and confectionary. 10/10

This cafe is an absolute delight. Family run, the welcome is friendly, the service excellent and the food tasty and fresh. So different from the larger coffee outlets. Nice selection of pastas, sauces and biscuits to take away too.

10 out of 10 for this lovely family run cafe in Coulsdon. The food is as tasty as the atmosphere is relaxing. Each time we visit we see familiar faces which is always nice and shows how popular the cafe is. I recommend Enzo’s Lasagne and our son loves Mary’s orange juice!

Great cafe used by the local community and cyclists. Angelo the owner is fantastic and always serves up great hand made Italian food and great coffee in a friendly atmosphere. He describes with passion how he makes his food and always has a good range on offer, have not been disappointed after going there for several years.

It is what I would say what one expects in a locally run authentic restaurant - small, cozy, good food, personable and friendly staff and reasonable price.

A favourite for my husband and I and sometime the kids too. Love the breakfasts and selection of sandwiches.

I would have given this cafe 5 because the food is excellent. But the main server needs to greet and smile. Also it was not busy and we sat at a table full of crumbs. They got one of our orders wrong but were very apologetic and offered to change it.

This is a lovely place to visit in town we love it here. Great menu choices and lovely staff we often go here and lovely panini as well as Italian deli to take away pasta ect

We spotted a couple of empty tables outside Nonna Rosa's and thought we'd take advantage of the gorgeous sunny and warm weather and have breakfast out. We were so glad we did as we were served two very tasty, fresh and warm almond croissants alongside a couple of smooth lattes. We will have to go back to try a hot breakfast but this fantastico cafe is not to be missed! Perfetto!

We regularly use the Cafe and have never been disappointed. Yesterday, I ordered a chicken and Brie panini but because the Brie wasn’t available Angelo suggested I try a chicken and dolcelatte panini instead. It was a first for them as they had never made it and it was a first for me as I’d never tried it. It was excellent and I will definitely order it again. The only downside for the Cafe is that they will now have to think of a name for it.

We are regular visitors but last Sunday we went for brunch. I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Excellent 👍 yum

Popped in for coffee freezing cold. Quick service newspaper. Worth a visit Have had panini and that was good.

My wife and I often meet our friend here. The owner and staff are always very polite and helpful,the food is really good and most of it is home made.

Have visited a number of times with my daughter who loves the pasta dishes. The service is incredibly friendly and although the cafe is small it always feels very relaxed.

Visited with a friend while waiting for Motorbike to be serviced. Great coffee, wonderful Panini, all washed down with a great helping of smiles and customer service, and yes I will try the meatballs next time.

Me he alojado aquí unas cuantas veces, a veces por un café y otras veces he tenido el almuerzo. Siempre es encantador, la comida es muy sabrosa, el café es fabuloso y el personal es encantador. Siempre hay ambiente en Ann o también aquí. Se vuelve muy concurrido los fines de semana, los ciclistas me encanta. Vale la pena una visita.

Yo vivo cerca y hace pocos días tuve mi desayuno aquí por primera vez. Este es el mejor lugar en toda la zona de croydon a tienen una muy buena comida/cafetería/bar/postre! . . . Auténtica comida italiana, muy buen servicio. . Vienen en Italia. proprio! Complimenti.

Love this place. Meat ball pasta is amZing and spot on. Staff are great and all at a really good price. Every time I go we get looked after. Best Italian food round better then over priced Italian across the road.

Familiar por excelencia italiana, con pasta italiana auténtica y paninis preparado sólo puedo adivinar literalmente en casa. Me apareció en un panini y era como estar en un pequeño restaurante italiano Cafe y te puedo decir todos los ingredientes estaban crudas de Italia. Delicioso.

Dejó aquí para almorzar hoy. Fue excelente. Sopa minestrone hasta helados hechos que tuvimos, un panino con jamón y queso, jambalaya y una porción de niños de spaghetti a la boloñesa.

Cada café en Coulsdon, y hay varios, tiene su asiduos y aquellos que vienen aquí porque la calidez italiana del servicio así como comida italiana casera. No hacen el desayuno, así que tendrías que ir a otro lugar a menos que quería la versión en italiano de un bollo y un café espresso

Un buen lugar para comer. El negocio familiar que normalmente tienen tres o cuatro pastas y un montón de ensaladas, sándwiches y pan tostado. Es pequeña, un par de mesas en el exterior y unos dentro. No le vendría mal una mano de pintura interior, pero la calidad de la comida es buena. También puedes comprar algunas cosas italianos para llevar a casa como pastas y galletas pero son caros. No está abierto para la cena. Se ve regularmente para el almuerzo.

Nos detuvimos aquí para almorzar con nietos pequeños. Tienen actualmente una oferta donde 2 niños menores de 6 años comen gratis (media porción principal o un sandwich) con 2 adultos. Los niños tuvieron una muy generosa porción de pasta de meatball, que era absolutamente delicioso. Que hacer y paninis de sándwiches y platos principales calentar por ejemplo pasta, lasaña parmesana. El personal era encantador y acogedor con niños. Sin duda volveremos. (Nota: no con baño propio)
