Nonna Ginas in East Renfrewshire

Amazing food with generous portion sizes, staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome

Anglicised Italian food, giant pepper mill and parmigiano bowl to complete the throwback feel. Amatriciana made with bacon instead of guanciale/pancetta, had red onion instead of chilli, and really lacking in pecorino. Pizza had nice nduja on it, but the mozzarella was cheap (extra cost to get buffalo) and base was something you whip up at home in 2 hours, no flavour, no char, peely wally plain bread. Nice decor, lovely staff, can accomodate gluten free.

I used to goto this restaurant a couple of times a month over a number of years, but had stopped going for a few years due to changed circumstances. I was invited to go there by a family member and was impressed by the business of the place mid week. I had the pizza which was large and just as good as I remembered the others in the party enjoyed what they had just as much as I enjoyed my pizza. I will be returning soon as it was most enjoyable.

Nonna Ginas was a joy to visit from start to finish. The highest compliments must go to the attentive staff (especially Gianni) who treated us to first class service, with a friendly manner. The food was delicious: Risotto Fiorentina and Risotto Elvira, along with tasty garlic bread and fries. The atmosphere was friendly and unobtrusive. We will definitely return to Nonna Ginas soon!

The pizza was received in a mess a mess. I believe is the driver's manner of handling the food. This restaurants is very good and they would have not sent it the way it arrived. The ebtire filling on both pizza were messed up on a pile.

Will never order here again , the pizza is unedable the cheese on it was off it was so bitter and horrible ! The pasta was still hard and ordered spiced chips got plain which werent even cooked properly what a waste of money may aswell have burned 40 pounds infront of my eyes !!

Couldn’t believe my eyes when I seen it on just Eat tonight. This place is my absolute FAVE so was like a wee win. Food was outstanding as always, piping hot, fresh and DELISH! Getting to see my wee Pal Gianni too was an added bonus. Always keeping the spirits up. THANKS GUYS!!

We're just back home after a family meal The food was absolutely delicious all of our meals came piping hot and so fresh. Even the fussy eater said it was lovely!!! So win win. Service was top notch and so was the cheesecake. Can't fault one thing. Definitely worth another visit soon.

Food was OK but my wife's lasagne arrived at the table about 10 minutes after all the other main courses with very little apology offered.

Fantastic restaurant, the best in the southside by a country mile and to top it off, you always recieve a warm welcome from the star man Gianni.

Very authentic Italian restaurant.I have been for several years and if you are looking for a place to eat real Italian dinner then you are in the right place.

The food was excellent, from the calamari starter to the spaghetti bolognese main and the tiramisu dessert. Everything was fresh, tasty and rich. The service was also outstanding, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Italian cuisine.

First visit. Had a sandwich but very filling and worthy of light lunch. Coffee has a nice smokey aroma.

Never had pizza pizza from here before tonight was a first and I wish I had tried it sooner it is hands down the nicest pizza I’ve ever eaten and I never rave about pizza but this pizza deserves it. So good. If your not sure what to get try the pizza you won’t regret it

Late morning visit for a coffee and cake, felt we were being rushed along to clear table even though place was quite empty. Normally such a relaxed ambience to the place, hopefully better next time

No photos but we ordered the smaller size pasta for lunch and the portion was huge and delicious. I had the penne Al forno with chicken😋

I had my birthday meal at Nonna Gina's and once again a fantastic meal was had by all. Pasta cooked perfectly and pizza was spot on. Only disappointment was no lasagne on menu... it was my favourite dish. I had calzone instead and was really yum, but please bring back lasagne. 😫 Thanks again to all the staff for making it a special day.

My sister and I go for tea and cake and the staff and manager are so lovely and accommodating. Friendly chat and superb cake/deserts! Highly recommend this restaurant if you like a relaxed time.

We had a lovely afternoon at Nonna Gina's today. Food was delicious and the coffee is the best I have tasted in a long time! Service was just terrific, not rushed and very attentive, and the staff team are just so lovely and friendly. We sat and had drinks on the terrace outside after lunch and what a wee suntrap! Great place to sit and watch the world go by. Thank you to all the staff at Nonna Gina's for a wonderful afternoon ❤️

Food is always great. Restaurant had an issue with 2 main course items being incorrect. They remade the incorrect items and brought them round within 20 mins and a free desert included as an apology. Excellent service to make up for error.

Went in for lunch with my partner, both ordered the chicken aribiata which was superb very tasty and chips crispy, perfect wee lunch 10/10 Staff were awesome as always

Staff are very friendly and helpful and menu and food are great ! We enjoy coming here nothing is a hassle to them they are accommodating and will try help with any dietary requirements

Food was alright, but the price of 3 glasses of coke was £9-30, a ridiculous price.

Pizza arrived with all of the toppings in the corner of the box. Chips have changed. Previous ones were better.

Went in for a meal for the first time after a recommendation and I wasn’t disappointed, great food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff who were understanding of a food allergy and slightly tweaked a dish to suit my needs. Thanks again will definitely be back.

Food was nice and hot, even chips hot and crisp, 1st for me for take out food

So, my wife and I have just moved to Newton Mearnes and spotted this little gem from the roadside. On arrival, greeted with smiles, specials were introduced, and speedily got our drinks - Gin blood orange cocktail was great. The service was quick from all members of staff, friendly and efficient and our server in particular was excellent. We asked to be surprised for starters and boy were they good - lovely antipasti selection and a salsiccia tappas styled bowl with crusty bread - delish!! My pizza was very good, but my wife's seafood rissotto - WOW! Thank you for the wonderful evening and we'll be sure to come back. JM & Zoe

We ordered a couple of pizzas, arrived piping hot and were full of flavour.

Quite unimpressed. Pasta not restaurant standard. Could tell they’d scrimped on the cream and meat content. Pizza was cold and barely cooked.

Friendly staff but worse lasagne ever had . Had to fight to find the pasta. Over charged on the bill incorrect items. Too many on the bill. Very overpriced,for what we had sorry its a negative review

The food was wonderful, unfortunately the service was not. On a cold evening, no one offered to take our coats , we asked and on collecting them found them dumped on a chair. My daughter described the type of red wine she liked and asked for a recommendation from the menu.The waitress said she didn’t drink so didn’t know, she made no attempts to find someone who did. When we did get our drinks they were wrong twice. The restaurant has an extensive menu but we had to ask twice for extra time to read it. On paying, my husband was told his card hadn’t swiped and the waiter put the machine back down before leaving .it was all very, take it or leave it.. As I said the food is excellent but expensive, it would however be worth it with better service. In reply to The reply, the waitress seemed so confused to be asked to take coats that the rest of us sat on ours. Why , in winter, is the coat rack in a cold corridor? My husband is disabled so he had to lean over plants and the counter to access the machine. It didn’t work because it was upside down. The initial response was for the man to slam it down in the holder and flounce off leaving my husband standing there. A waitress got the machine and handed it to him to insert the card. With regards to the wine , it is an Italian restaurant and my daughter asked for a wine comparable to Valpolicella , not a sommelier level question. Not the evening out we had hoped for on a special occasion. My post on Facebook was much milder than this , merely asking for other reviews in case we had got them on a bad down, it was mysteriously taken down within an hour.

Ordered amalfi received something completely different it looked like alfredo tried several times over An hour to contact the restaurant to rectify the mistake however no luck.
