Absolutely brilliant place, amazing cocktails (try the homemade Thai Lemonade), really good fresh food and awesome tunes!

Tonight we had a meal from the "shutupandfeedme" menu. Great food and lovely to receive it free as a member of the NHS. Thank you House of Nomad, we will be visiting once we are able to, intact I feel a works outing coming on!

Didn't deliver food, said email went to junk mail, poor customer service, poor management. I know its coved19 but management is critical

We had the shut up and feed me option, which was great for trying all new things. However for me I think I’d go for menu choices next time. I did have to remind them about our drinks as our food cake out b4 they did. But they were very busy so understandable. The food was good and the vibe was fantastic. The waitresses were amazing! It is a higher price point restaurant. But I will definitely go back.

Went for lunch with my daughter for her birthday, as i had heard good things and we were not disappointed. Flavours in the food and presentation were amazing, not overpriced either. Friendly staff and tasteful decor. Taking my husband in the evening for his birthday the next day.😊.

We booked for the £25pp shut up and feed me menu. (We has been given a £50 voucher for Christmas) Basically to sum it up as quickly as possible. They hadn’t got our reservation down. So left us standing in the doorway like lemons whilst they quickly made us up a table up by the bar. We sat and waited 5 mins before being offered a menu. Our drinks didn’t come out until after the second course (my glass smelt of dirty dish water) When the second course came out they brought out 2 meat dishes even tho my partner had opted for the vegetarian menu. Third course, the waitress muttered what it was and walked off. The music was so loud we didn’t hear what she said and we couldn’t get her attention to come back so we had no idea what we were eating. Some sort of quesadilla, but I couldn’t tell you what was inside it?? 40 mins later the 4th and 5th course came out together? (cold) The 5th course being a plate of sweet potato fries to share!! Being that it’s 5 course menu at £25pp you’re basically paying £10 for a plate of chips!. Came away hungry. It’s a shame because the food we ate was actually quite tasty. It’s just the service was terrible and it came out cold. The waitress was to busy flirting and flicking Ice at the barman to care about how her tables were doing. Really unprofessional and expensive for what it was... Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back.

Only the bar staff stopped this from being a total disaster, they were on the money. Were told we had to have the shut up and feed me although there was only four of us. The soup was tepid & watery, the rest was over cooked & tough. My choice options were beef & seafood, I got chicken & chicken. Overcharged £40 for drinks already paid for. We hardly touched the food and all left hungry. We were all looking forward to going to Nomad Bar & Restaurant after reading Cat & Matt's review in the County press, we will not be returning.

We were looking forward to trying Nomads. We had a voucher for Christmas so went with high expectations. £25 per person for the ‘shut up and feed me’ menu. First dish was a soup/broth with noodles. Next was a pork dumpling/roll dish. Next was a pizza type dish. Last was a chicken leg dish with sweet potato with a fifth dish of around 8 roast potatoes (between 2!) So £10 for 8 roast potatoes!!! it seemed it was carb carb carb. No veg!! Very disappointed! Came out feeling very bloated but disappointed. Food tasted lovely - but for £50 for two - not what what had envisaged! Prob not go back. Which is a shame because the atmosphere was great! Staff were friendly and attentive.

Visited for a business lunch with a client on the island who was already familiar with this place, told me I'd love it, guess what? I can't wait to go back... The lush setting, comfortable leather seating and chilled out vibe really set the tone from the off with attentive, friendly staff taking care of every detail. I'm not a fussy eater at all, so was only too happy not having to think about choosing from a menu, the 'shut up and feed me' option took all of the decision making away and it just kept on coming! With subtle twists on culinary classics, I genuinely loved every single course, in fact, it would be really challenging to pick out a fave, literally couldn't fault any dish, just mouthwatering loveliness at every turn. I can heartily recommend this place on every level and can't wait to dine there again when I return in the spring.

We went with 2 friends and had the feed us menu, it was terrible to say the least. We were fed burnt Tacos, Pork Belly in Bao buns that had no pork but lots of fat and a hok that contained so much fat it was close to inedible. We left hungry after paying over £160 and drove to Ada in Carisbrook to have a desert. Personally we don’t understand the hype about this place and will not be going back! It was too dark to take any photos.

We booked our table here for Valentine's Day months ago, and had been really looking forward to it. There was no mention of the fact that it was £49 instead of the usual £25 per person for the "shut up and feed me" menu until we sat down. The cocktail included in the price was a passion fruit martini - not something we would have picked ourselves and neither of us could taste the alcohol. The prawn dumplings tasted like processed chicken. The belly pork tacos looked great, but the taco itself was an overpowering spinach (or some other green vegetable) flavour. The Wagyu steak was the highlight, but the noodles and salsa that accompanied it was swiftly pushed to the side. When I go out I like to try things I can't cook as well myself, but I didn't feel that way about any of the dishes we had last night. It was all cold (perhaps how it was supposed to be served) and a bit disjointed taste wise. I suppose knowing that we were paying £98 regardless had raised our expectations... The service was ok, but we didn't leave a tip (which having worked in hospitality I always tip) because: • We were left stood at the bar not knowing who to speak to as when we walked in; • It was a set menu, so no effort went into taking our order; • When the wine was brought over it was cracked open and plonked down - no "would you like to taste it?" or offer to pour it for us; • No one checked back - we were only asked if everything was "ok" when they cleared each dish; I feel a little bad leaving such a pedantic review, but it really was terrible value for money and tainted a special night out.

Heard a lot about this place so wife and I decided to try it. Lovely building nice atmosphere. Looks a bit of luck of the draw on seats with mixture of comfy chairs and hard cushionless benches. We had table for two which had very comfortable chairs.we opted for the shutupandeat which was five dishes of the chefs choice for £25 per person. We chose the Shiraz from the wine menu and it was excellent. Dish one came which was soft belly pork rolls. Dish two chicken sate skewers. No. Three was a mushroom and Parmesan dish. So far so good as all three of these were delicious. Dishes four and five came at the same time. One was a broccoli dish which was ok but not our thing. The other was a prawn noodle dish which was extremely salty and as much as we tried found we could not eat it. However after a complaint to the waitress we were presented with a substitute dish of jerk chicken which was very tasty. We did take a chance with not choosing our own dishes but at least we were given a replacement. My issue with Nomads is value for money. As delicious as some of the dishes are they are expensive for what they are. However we enjoyed our evening and if we go again we will choose our own dishes.

Excellent food and excellent service from start to finish. We had the #shutupandfeedme menu and every dish was delicious. Great atmosphere accompanied by great service, all the waitresses were friendly and accommodating. Cocktails are a little expensive but I guess that’s the same everywhere you go. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

Just a bit disappointed after all the social media hype and their claim to have an “unrivalled vegan menu”. Food wasn’t bad but (and I could be wrong) seemed like most things were just bought in (ie spring rolls, dumplings (maybe?)) - and Quorn chicken nuggets in a bao bun? 🤷🏻♀️ Just a bit lazy - not exactly the food I remembered from Nomad Cowes or Gastronomy (awesome). Saying that, everything tasted fine.. Food aside, I can’t not mention the fact that there was an alarm beeping the WHOLE time we were there. Every few seconds. We could tell it wasn’t just us getting irritated - eventually we asked the young waitress (running the bar and front of house on her own) what it was and she said it was that a fire door had been opened upstairs in the hotel and triggered the alarm and that they didn’t have a code to turn it off. The people next to us got really cross and hinted at a free drink but the waitress didn’t pick up on the hint and just said it was really annoying. It did kinda ruin our night as it was so relentless and unfortunately ruined what would have been nice ambience/vibe in the restaurant.

Went with my partner last night for a meal. Decided to try the #shutupandfeedme option and wasn't disappointed! Delicious selection of meat fish and vegetarian. Friendly attentive staff and cosy atmosphere. A different experience and well worth a visit if you're on the island.

I approve of the Rully. Small shop, but seems to be a nice selection. Hoping to see some more white burgundy’s, although I understand it’s a small place so that’s probably not their top priority.
