We went at 5pm so the place was practically empty, nice and quiet ambience. Got a place by the window overlooking the canal. Lovely interior. Food was good. We had the fish platter, tomato basil red onion salad and garlic chilli toasted almond broccoli. Cocktails were “2 for 1” between 4-7pm Sunday-Friday. Can vouch for the lychee rose spritz, bergamot & elderflower martini and mojito.

We recently held our wedding reception in the private dining room at Noels. The day was an outstanding success from the champagne and canapés we started the celebration with to get everybody in the mood. To the sit down three course meal.which was perfection. The atmosphere was perfect as was the service and nothing was too much trouble. We had a wonderful day and would like thank Francesco and Callum for their assistance and attention to detail. Gorgeous interior, amazing service and well cooked food!

Service was slow, but otherwise the food and drinks were tasty. The croquettes were 10/10. But I would say a bit overpriced for what you get.

Absolutely horrible place to celebrate my birthday. They overpriced everything. £5 for a bottle of water? The food was atrocious. We ordered something called a seafood platter duplex, and it was the worst thing we’ve ever had. Have you ever seen anything served warm on crushed ice? It looked and tasted disgusting. This dish might be worth £20, yet they charged us £88.99 for it. Ridiculous! The mixed grill, another £89 disaster. You'd be better off going to Wetherspoons. We didn't order much, but the food and service quality were horrible. To top it off, they wouldn't even let us cut our birthday cake, making the whole celebration pointless. At the end, they slapped on a 10% service charge for the rubbish service we received. The total bill was £270 for four people. My friends and I will never go there again. Avoid this place at all costs!

I dined at Noel Restaurant yesterday with a friend, and the experience was exceptional. The service was impeccable, thanks to Francesco's attentive care The fried calamari were perfectly golden and crispy, while the pan-fried tiger prawns with chili and tomato sauce were succulent and well-balanced.For our main courses, we shared lobster ravioli and tagliolini with seafood. Both dishes were outstanding, with the pasta cooked "al dente" and rich, flavorful sauces. Francesco's thoughtful touches, like a hot side plate and water with lemon, enhanced our experience.For dessert, we shared a pistachio cheesecake, which was creamy and flavorful, with a delightful contrast between the mascarpone and crunchy pistachio. Our meal was complemented by a crisp Italian Greco di Tufo wine, and an amaro suggested by Francesco was the perfect finish.Noel Restaurant exceeded our expectations with exceptional service and exquisite cuisine. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience. Thank you, Francesco and the team, for a wonderful evening.

Its not busy when we get in. Got a window side table, nice relaxing view. It would be perfect if we could get a bigger table as we ordered a lot🤣Everything is fantastic! Restaurant and food decorating are wonderful. Did not expect this good before we get in to be honest. Our bill is around 90pound including server charge, which we are happy with it. Especially the waitress who severed us (purple/pink hair coloured?). Very good service and gave us a beautiful meal time here!☺️

Good food received. Well presented, well cooked and tasty. Service was wanting, although pleasant, when received. It was very busy, very loud with a singer when we went on Saturday night, although this made it difficult to converse the atmosphere was good.

mostly had good experiences here but was there Thursday evening and the service was just bad, the beer clearly had a problem as it destroyed my stomach, on top of that some homeless guy started harassing us as we were sat outside on the restaurant chairs by the canal, when I thought the waiters were coming out to help move them on they simply stood at a distance by the door, watched and laughed, brilliant service that is! think I'll go somewhere else next time

For a work meal for seven of us we chose to book Noel online the process was straightforward and they called two days in advance to confirm our reservation. We put down a note to say if we could eat outside if the weather was nice- they were quite accommodating. We all chose to have a 3 course meal from the lunch set menu which was £19.95. Everyone enjoyed their meal- and were happy with what they chose. The waiter who served us was equally amazing- he was able to cater for our needs. Me as a pescatarian and non drinker had many options. The mocktails I had were super refreshing. We all got hot drinks to finish off. The atmosphere was very relaxed and loved being seated by the canal. Overall everything was spectacular and I will certainly return. Also side note there is a 12.5% service charge- which we didn't mind as we wanted to tip anyway.

Outstanding Service! We had an amazing dining experience thanks to our waitress, Carolina. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making perfect recommendations. Her warm and professional service truly enhanced our evening. We'll definitely be back and hope to be served by her again!

Fifteen minutes passed before they came to take my order, and I went inside myself to tell them I wanted a menu; I already had my order and then they came for me to choose, ten minutes later. So, I waited about twenty minutes just to order a drink. And in the end, the drink I ordered wasn't worth it at all considering the price. They didn't even come to check if the table was clean or if there were any stains left from the previous one. In my opinion, it's not worth it, it's just located in a nice place by the side.The staffs are disorganised and need to be supervised better!

My initial review, we didn’t go here to dine but we wanted to enquire for a private room for a business event. The staff member that showed us around the restaurant was professional and made sure that all of our questions were answered comprehensively and took the time to understand our requirements, she was reassuring that our dietary requirements were met and made us aware that if we need certification for the meats that we select they would be obtained from the supplier to show our guest if required, all options of arranging the room were explained and offered services that would take the strain away from us so we can make sure that what we needed to plan from our side is the only thing we needed to worry about and anything we needed the restaurant to do would be handled by them. We left the restaurant reassured and confident that what we required will be delivered and all we need to do was to finalise our side and confirm from our side i will be updating this review in due course hence no star given for food at the moment.

Canal side restaurant close to the Mailbox. Excellent service, very quiet though, although it was a Thursday lunchtime.

Food and service was impeccable; puzzled as to the £5 still water charge though not common at other high tea places and £5 definitely extortionate considering we barely took a sip of it

Beautiful tasting cocktails, lovely presentation, and excellent, friendly staff.

We had dinner for a special occasion and I can say that the restaurant is really ideal and located in very nice location of Birmingham. The cocktail were very good (pornstarmartini) then the food was also good but I really believe that they should keep it simple for their starter and just forget about the leaves 🍃 to introduce your prawns or Calamari as much as the mango can be nice but need to be Ripe and juicy! Other than that the food and price ration isn’t too bad for 7 peoples. I really hold to say that the service was above expectations and that why I think that both ladies raised the bar of the experience which can only lead to improvement in the food in the future! Looking forward for another experience Ooo and the wine selection is also great keep pushing on this aspect!

Fabulous restaurant. We had a lovely table. The halibut was the best I have ever eaten.

The service was excellent they made sure we were okay and if we needed anything else the atmosphere and the environment was really nice perfect for most occasions. I had the salmon fillet which was cooked to perfection but needed seasoning. Also has the lemon sole but I didn’t know it was on the bone so beware of tiny bones when eating but this dish was also pleasant Pistachio cheesecake was also nice too all in all a nice evening out

The food is really good and the taste is great, but the service is too average. There are many waiters but the waiting time is too long and the service attitude is very poor.

Serves excellent Mediterranean cuisine. Lovely atmosphere, great service, excellent food. If you are staying in Birmingham a definite must eat place

Great service, great food, great evening!

Unfortunately we had a very negative experience at Noel’s due to an extremely rowdy party of four who had no consideration for other diners. We asked the waitress if we could move to a different table who was very helpful, however we could still clearly hear the group which completely ruined our dining experience. When you spend +£100 on food, drinks, desserts for a belated Valentines meal, having to move seat and eat through constant noise is not acceptable. We also heard another couple complaining about the noise. It would have been appreciated if something was taken off the bill at the very least to compensate for this. Unfortunately, despite the food being quite nice, we won’t be returning.

The food and service were good although food was expensive to my liking. The restaurant was a busy environment, but the music they played was repetitive and very boring they should try switching up the playlist.

Absolutely love this restaurant! It’s one of my favourite places to eat in Birmingham since it’s opened. I have visited soo many times and hosted my birthday here before and it never fails to disappoint! Particularly writing this report as we visited yesterday as part of their 50% off in January! Given the entire a la carte menu was half price, the attention to detail, service and quality was just 10/10! Our food was beyond amazing! For reference, most of our table ordered the ribeye with the mushroom sauce and truffle chips - the steak was just so well seasoned and juicy!! Also it’s worth noting the Pistachio cheesecake is gorgeous! Also an extra shout out to Callum who was looking after us! He’s served me a few times I’ve been and he was on top form (as usual)! One of the best hands down! He deserves all the praise and more!!!

Such a lovely restaurant. The food was delicious, the team were really friendly and the design and atmosphere were brilliant. The menu isn't vast, but that isn't a problem. Would happily come here again.

Our first time at Noel's and were not disappointed. It was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant was decorated stylishly. The food was lovely. We started with the breads and oils and were given a good selection of breads. Both our starters were nicely presented and very tasty. For mains, we both had the seafood linguine. The portions were a good size and again delicious with a good variety of seafood. Our waitresses were polite, and very professional. Finally we would like to say thank you for the anniversary plate which came as a bit of a pleasant surprise. Thank you for a lovely evening, and we'll be back again in the future.

Very smart restaurant and bar just off the canal near the Mailbox. We only went for late drinks while we waited for the traffic to calm down after attending a show in town that evening, but we were greeted in a warm friendly way, seated at a pod near the bar and offered the drinks menu. Beautiful bar area, marble tables, fresh flowers, well stocked bar, elegant glassware, staff were in pristine smart uniforms, nice music vibe playing, clean smart toilets even at the end of the night. Extensive drinks menu, reasonably priced for such an upmarket venue, and the bartenders were experts at making cocktails. We looked at the food menu and will definitely go back to sample the food. Really glad we popped in for a few drinks.

The food was sparse but very tasty, and I thought it was overpriced. Considering that the restaurant was empty, I would have expected far better service.

Christmas day meal lovely atmosphere and great staff

Really nice place. It was really quiet when we arrived as a group. And the service was good, they got a friend another drink because they couldn't do a bubble on top of the drink.

Where do I start, we chose to dine here for our annual family Xmas meal. It took 40 mins from seating to place order and get drinks. Only to be kicked off our table at 9 and asked to go to the bar where we could have a free shot! so we had 1 hour 20 mins on the table in total. Three of us had oysters to start and unfortunately today 11 Dec we all have food poisoning The main courses were just very average the pork belly cracking was soggy, the rosemary and garlic potatoes were somewhat hard,but the rib eye steak and fries went down well. Overall the staff were polite but there just wasn't enough working to speed up service given how full the restaurant was. Based on my experience unfortunately I won't be returning.

A very nice experience celebrating my daughters birthday. We were very well looked after and we enjoyed the food! My best ravioli ever! The only thing i would change is the set up. Absolutely gorgeous decor but I wouldn't choose it for a date night, no initimacy. Ok for friends and family meals.

Slow cooked shank of lamb for mains and bruschetta for starters I swapped my mash for baby potatoes and just like the last time this dinner hit the spot! Sometimes experiences are about comparisons, and clearly our fellow diners [some] were comparing their food to the kind delivered by the likes of deliveroo and just eat. The shoulder of lamb was tasteless,sinewy and looked appalling too. Not even a maybe was the choccy tart with raspberries, guessing all the way from Iceland. But guys if you want to maintain this spurious ploy, at least let the "thing" de-frost a little. So much investment in Noel's: but such a miniscule statement.

Cannot fault them they were very professional from the moment we arrived..seating us, they were very attentive, our starter and drinks was on our table within 15mins, after finishing, it was not long before table was cleared, and further drinks ordered and arrived promptly, the main course served in a timely manner, staff were super ( but not sickly) friendly..we booked for Christmas instantly before leaving....

The food was really good. I had the truffle burrata which was stunning and for main I had the tuna streak which was divine! What let the restaurant down by one star was the slow service and charging £15 for a house glass of white wine. I also hate it when restaurants automatically add service charge when the service is average.

Noel's was recommended by our son who says Noel's is his favourite restaurant. We usually go to the Ivy after a show in Birmingham. We loved Noel's so will definitely be back.

We chose this place for my friends birthday because based on their menu they cater for gluten free. However, he option my friend ordered - chargrilled chicken souvlaki which was supposed to come with a pitta bread. When they brought the food out it was simply chicken with a salad, without pitta bread. My friend should have been told BEFORE ordering that they do not in fact provide gluten free pitta bread. Staff did not seem to have an awareness of gluten free, as one looked confused when my friend was explaining - he had to fetch his manager who came over to explain they do not do gluten free pitta and offered a slice of gluten free bread. Not exactly a souvlaki. Staff were generally friendly. However, The service was very poor. We chose the bottomless option but had to constantly ask for drinks and were left waiting. We had various service staff throughout. Aside from these issues, my food tasted fine and it’s a nicely presented restaurant.

Hosted a hen party in the private room and the staff were so helpful right from the very start all the way through. Food was great, drinks were great and staff on the day were lovely. Only slight downside was that even though we had pre-ordered food, some of the ladies with allergies had their food come out a little while after the rest. The staff dealt with it well though. Thanks for all of your help!

Good Afternoon Tea - had the Pink Butterfly one. Only criticism would be there was a lot of 'sweet,' as opposed to savoury. Especially with the Prosecco drink mix was also very sweet - tasted like a "Fruit salad" sweet from back in the day ... Service was excellent but probably because the restaurant was very quiet when we went at 4pm Love this place though & would definitely go again. Lovely decor, staff and menu. Definitely recommend 👌

Had a delicious and refreshing Hugo Spritz Cocktail here accompanied with the music and dance performance of an amazing lady DJ. Search no further for a good quality cocktail and atmosphere. Waiters and waitresses are very friendly.

We hosted a birthday party for a 90 yr old. Callum and Renzo could not have done more to ensure that the day was special - nothing was too much trouble . From organising a table outside for Champagne and canapés to layout of the private room . The food and service were excellent, we had a truly wonderful celebratory lunch.

Overpriced for the quality of food.

I travelled from London to take my sister out for a celebratory birthday lunch, as this was the first time either of us had visited Noels I didn't know what to expect. What an absolute joy, beautiful décor and ambience, and as it was a Monday lunchtime it was very quiet, which was perfect. Everything was amazing, from start to finish Katrina our wait staff was impeccable, not intrusive, really warm and welcoming, professional service at its best. We had lovely cocktails, and after our starters of beetroot and caprese salads, for our main we opted for the delicious fish sharing platter followed by the chef's sharing dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. My sister was given a little surprise treat for her birthday - a mini "happy birthday" dessert with a candle. Absolutely brilliant, we never felt rushed, and for a special occasion it was perfect. Thank you Noels for making my sister's birthday extra special.

Had a really good meal on Friday night. Relaxed but quality dining, friendly service, and very good food selection. On the pricey side, but everything was delicious.

It’s an okay restaurant but the pushy waiter spoiled my experience considerably. I was there with a partner and I knew I had to foot the bill. The waiter kept recommending lobster, caviar, aperitifs, starters, mains, seconds, dessert, cocktails, coffee and so forth. He ignored my staring gaze as I saw the bill climbing up to £230 and kept on persuading my lady to keep on ordering! Don’t consider the place if you’re not earning 100k+ PA. Far to greedy!
