Absolutely lovely place! Great food, friendly staff!

We had a bacon cheeseburger, a Toastie, Fries and drinks. Whilst it's not the cheapest option it certainly not expensive for the food! We had a wheelchair user in our party who could easily get in and be comfortable at the table. It was also dog friendly. We were made very welcome and would happily return. Be aware intimate venue and for good reason can be busy. But it's worth the wait for a table or just a takeaway.

Lovely little cafe serving generous mugs of fresh coffee, soup, cake and adventurous daily specials (today it was crispy chicken Gochujang). Even had a vegan gluten-free cake option. Free car parking up side road opposite, 2 mins walk.

Had a lovely breakfast with my teenage son, lovely when we stumbled across this place… brilliant coffee and sausages amazing!

Very much enjoyed our food here, and loved sitting in the rocking chair although it wasn't very practical in terms of eating. We had the burger with sweet potato fries (which were ace) and poached eggs with avocado on toast. Both yummy! Next time I'll try some cake

Wow! What a find on a Sunday afternoon! We’ll defo be making the 45min road trip here more often. Delicious hot food and cakes to die for. Also the best smooth coffee I’ve ever tasted. Every single dish coming out the kitchen looked incredible.

No.98 is simply fantastic. Jim and the team offer great food, coffee and atmosphere. Flat whites were smooth and at perfect temperature to enjoy. Chicken with Kewpie Mayo was delicious. Enjoyed an amazing Coke Float to finish. Just brilliant.

We've been regular customers at this café for quite some time, but after the experience we had today, we are incredibly disappointed and won’t be returning. Upon arrival, a lovely couple who were leaving kindly offered us their table. While it hadn’t been cleaned yet, we were more than happy to sit and wait until a staff member was free to clean it. The waitress served menus to the other tables but completely ignored us. When she passed by, we politely asked if we could have two menus. To our shock, she responded with a horrific attitude, saying, "I just don't know why someone would sit at a dirty table." We very calmly explained that it wasn’t a problem, and we just wanted to see the menu to decide on our order. Instead of understanding, she snapped back in the same rude tone, saying, "Yeah, just maybe next time don't sit at a dirty table." We were stunned by how unnecessarily rude she was. The table would have been cleaned at some point when we were there and we were happy to wait and if she simply done her job when the previous couple left we wouldn’t of had to sit at a dirty table. We had no issue sitting there and patiently waiting for the table to be wiped, but her attitude was uncalled for. We left immediately after that exchange and will never return. It’s truly a shame when customer service turns a pleasant visit into such a negative experience. The waitress's attitude needs serious attention, as this kind of behavior is unacceptable. I would like to say we did phone to complain and the owner was apologetic and said her behaviour was not acceptable and that he would be speaking to her which we do appreciate but she her representing this cafe at the front of house is such a downfall for this cafe when the food every time is beautiful but her attitude has left us never returning and left us to leave this review.

Best Chai Latte, Best Eggs Benedict, must try Chai Hot Chocolate

Mum and I had a lovely lunch there. Only downside is, there is only one toilet. I'd to clean it before I could use it after a male splashed all over the seat.

A lovely stop off en route north. Great selection of morning rolls and cakes, and delicious coffee too!

This is a great cafe with lovely staff and delicious food.

Unassuming from the outside, but behind its wee yellow door is one of the best independent coffee shops I’ve visited in a long time. Lunch and brunch menus enticing and more than living up to the promise. We went for chiipotle chicken, with sweet potato fries and a lovely brunch of black pudding, apple, onions and poached egg on sourdough. Delicious. Coffee and brownie afterwards really set us up for the day.

We stopped by after having visited the lavender fields close by. We enjoyed the soup of the day, a grilled cheese sandwich with red pesto, honey and thyme and also added a portion of loaded fries. Everything was very well rounded and delicious. The service was great so I can highly recommend going there.

Had one of the best toasts in my life here! Not joking! The toast with avocado, poached eggs, tomatoes and this sauce they use felt heavenly made! Highly recommend and will definitely go back at one point!

Food is excellent and the staff are always lovely. They sadly got rid of their veggie burger but there are plenty of other options!

Had a couple of hours to spend whilst waiting for my daughter. The avocando toast, coffe and cakes were excellent. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were really friendly.

Been here twice for coffee or a milkshake. Very nice little café, good service and here too - like almost every Scottish shop - you can easily pay small amounts by card.

This is such a brilliant cafe. The energy and food are the best I've experienced in a very long time. We will be back!!!

Stopped off after a walk around Loch Leven and got takeaway lunch. Amazing peanut butter and banana toast - I honestly didn't think it was possible to elevate it to such a level! Also had the remains of my daughter's dirty fries and wished I'd ordered my own portion. Gluten free available.

What a find! We popped in, hoping to get some food and had a delicious lunch and lovely coffee. Its small but worth a little wait for a table. Staff are friendly and prices are good. Highly recommend

Today i have eaten one the most delicious breakfasts in my life. Sour dough bread, black pudding,stewed apples and onions.Words fail me it was just stunning,every mouth full seemed to taste even better than the last!. Score out of 10 i would give it 50. Staff super friendly.👍 I am just a bit peeded off i have lived in the area for 11 years and first time i have been!.😕. Will 10000% be back.

Called in today had a 4 item small breakfast and a coffee, it was amazing, thoroughly recommend.

Quaint, cozy, comfortable. Great coffee and snacks. Sweet staff and seemed like it attracted good people. Edit: The photos don't lie.. well.. maybe. the food tastes even better than it looks.. Surely one of the best finds on our vacation.

Nice little place. Best bagel I’ve ever eaten. Bun not toasted into oblivion 👍Sesame not brioche 👍steak cooked perfectly and onions too 👌very happy. They even added on a small side salad even though it wasn’t on the menu when asked. Very pleasant trip. Fried chicken was also very good. Spiced nicely. Fantastic experience.

We just popped into No 98 for a quick bite to eat before heading to Loch Leven castle. We didn't expect much but it was great. The burgers were lovely and not too big or fussy and the sweet potato fries were fantastic. The lattes were great too. The setting, staff and atmosphere were just nice.

Great food stop in the centre of Kinross. Good range of choices and well prepared. Don’t be put off by the big yellow front door that always makes it look as though it’s closed!

There is no way you could give this place less then 5*. It was amazing! The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the food was outstanding. Portion sizes were crazy! Would 100% recommend a visit if you are in Kinross as its defos one of the better places in the area to get food!

Stopped for a coffee while out for a run on motorbike. Great selection of cakes, coffee was excellent and a good size cup too.

Great food, great value, great service. We just popped in for a cuppa as we were passing through the area, but were tempted by the food menu! Glad we did order food - the chorizo, avo & feta on sourdough bread was delicious, and so much topping, it was super value. The haggis & cheese toastie was also very tasty & filling. Friendly staff & the drinks were lovely too. Well recommended.

What a little gem! We were driving around the area looking for somewhere for lunch and stumbled upon this wee café. Oh goodness, the latte was beautiful, really nice coffee and the toasted sandwich... It was delicious! Huge too and generous filling. We'd return, even though we stay miles away and was just passing through!

The avo toast and no98 burger were lovely, the staff friendly. The choice of music was interesting, we skipped the homemade cakes .. our loss because they looked jummy.

Thank you. What an enjoyable lunch. The food was very tasty and freshly made. Good ingredients and a good carton choice without being too overwhelming. The cake selection is unique and must be an in-house creation. Very relaxing atmosphere in the cafe.

Amazing food and service! Staff were also very understanding and accommodating with my daughters food allergies which is always a bit nerve wracking but they were amazing ☺️ we will be back!!

Fantastic little fine. Staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating considering my dog is a Northern Inuit. The breakfast was great and my daughter ate 9 slices of toast (normally will only eat 1). We will defiantly go back. Very dog friendly.

I pretty much moved to Kinross because of this cafe 😂. Breakfast or lunch is always excellent, to the extent whenever i go elsewhere i often think "good but not as good as No.98". Great cakes and coffee with friendly staff

My niece picked where to go for her birthday lunch and I was soooo impressed, food was great and service brilliant, highly recommend the sourdough with avocado, chorizo and feta and a lovely cup of tea

The foods interesting, coffees fantastic, it's a bit let down though that's its such a small place, you can barely get 2 or 3 families of small hamsters sitting in at anyone one time, so there's a rush when the doors open. Nice though all the same

One of my favourite local eats. Never been disappointed no matter what we order. The food is always excellent and the coffee is really good too! Service is always friendly and very quick. Highly recommend the the Katsu fries when on their daily special board.

It's expensive! I popped in on my lunch break for a bit of a working lunch. I pretty much had the place to myself other than a brief encounter with a very very chatty passing take out patron 😂 I felt quite comfortable with my coffee and toastie working away on my laptop though. £10 for a chicken club and a vanilla latte - it was super tasty though!

Really friendly staff, great chilled atmosphere! It's not big but if you see they have seats available then grab them! We had seen a few people walking around town with milkshakes too. The toasties are amazing, they are huge! You won't leave feeling hungry. A milkshake is a must - Tunnocks shake is fab and also huge! Love the mis-match furniture and plates, it all just adds to the chill vibe of the place. Will come back to Kinross just for another toastie!

The food is outstanding and the menu is small. We had the grilled cheese and grilled ham and cheese. Both excellent. Staff were all super sweet

Very cosy place, staff were super friendly. Interior interesting with various kinds of seats- my seat was a rocking chair! We had the lentil soup bowl with bread (very warming, thick soup and the bread was of good quality) and the Bacon cheeseburger and fries (fries were perfectly seasoned with cajun/paprika? unsure but was delicious). The cakes looked really nice as well, with interesting selections- such as blueberry cheesecake brownie and caramac blondies, but we were too full to try. There may be parking up front, but as it is a small town and that is the only street with lots of shops, I would say assume the places upfront are taken. There is a supermarket just a few buildings before the cafe, where you can pay 2 pounds for parking. Highly recommend this place :).

Great wee place with friendly staff. Had the pulled chicken bacon and tomato toasty sat for about 10min trying to make my mind up on what to have. Will be back to try more. Milkshakes were nice. Chicken burger maybe needs a little work tho.
