A stylish, airy cafe serving freshly homemade cakes, cream teas and snacks. Good prices and the tray bakes (£2.25) are as good as they look. They also serve light lunches and the tea for two (£2.90) came in such a large tea pot that we both had several cups out of it.

Salt Marsh Kitchen

20/08/2019: Lovely relaxing meal at the Salt Marsh kitchen. I had read about this place and love seafood. I wasn’t disappointed! I started with the scallops off the special board. Perfectly cooked. I couldn’t resist the seafood paella with chorizo, mussels, clams, prawns, fish and samphire. It was every bit as good as it looked. I pinched some of my husbands beer battered fish. The batter was light and crispy. No room for a pud. Highly recommend
17/07/2019: We last visited Salt March Kitchen in the old premises and where they are now is a big improvement on the premises and the quality and service is still excellent. We all enjoyed the experience of good food lovely atmosphere making it a really good evening.

Bistro Bermo

24/08/2019: What a find , but as the reviews suggest others have found it first . A wonderful little restaurant [ do book well in advance ]. We had a great risotto followed by an amazing Hake followed by a wonderful cheese board . Who ever is in the kitchen knows what they are doing . Do not hesiate book now .It really is the best place in town .
14/09/2019: We visit Barmouth for the walking festival each year. As it is our wedding anniversaries we usually celebrate with a nice meal. We were not disappointed with any of our 12 choices. I had salmon 3 ways for a starter with asparagus and truffle oil. The poached salmon was warm and it had a tasty sauce with it. The smoked salmon was excellent and the salmon caviar added another flavour and texture. My husband cleared his chicken parfait very quickly. My friend pronounced her mussel starter as wonderful and loved the sauce. Her husband agreed as he helped finish the sauce!! The restaurant served my friend the salmon starter without the truffle oil at her request. My mains rack of lamb was so tasty with a gravy sauce it just melted in my mouth. The chips looked quite pale but they didn’t need to be brown to be perfectly cooked and crispy!! We did not have room for dessert. We will be back next year to celebrate our wedding anniversaries!
