We had a family meal to celebrate a birthday and had a great experience. We each had three courses and found it to be tasty, warm and really decent value.

We went as a family of four and had three courses each and drinks - everything was wonderfully hot and tasty. We were celebrating a birthday and it felt like a really special meal. Thank you to the owners who made us feel really welcome.

I am sorry to say that there was absolutely nothing good about this place! Stuffy atmosphere, smell of smoke and burnt food that stayed with u after leaving the restaurant. It was so cold in there that we had to wear our coats all the time we were there. When we asked a member of staff to turn the heating on they said they would look into it, but they never did. We got to order our drinks 30 mins after arrival and our food 45 mins after. Wine tasted vinegary was impossible to drink. Food came 45-60 mins after we ordered it. They hadn’t even brought the salads or appetisers till then. All food was pre frozen. Courgette fritters were served half frozen and we had to return them. Something, either the vinegary wine or the food gave 2 of us a food poisoning. It was a really horrible dining experience altogether.

We had a warm , friendly greeting by the owner. It was a bitterly cold evening and they sat us next to a radiator. Service was quick with a friendly waitress looking after us. Unfortunately, the place was empty and remained that way all evening, apart from 3-4 people calling in to pick up a takeaway! The Greek ambience was very good, everything was clean and tidy, decorations was very good. Everything was very presentable! Greek music was playing in the background but not too intrusive! Best of all, the food was very, very good, Our mixture of mezzi was great, as was our starters. Our main course was excellent and noticeable served on hot plates, a welcome touch, well done! This was our first visit but we definitely will make a return visit in the near future.

Absolutely loved our visit the staff were so welcoming and attentive they really looked after us amazingly. Food was great, I had the lamb chops which were delicious whilst others in the group also said their first was super. We will definitely be going again

We had a lovely evening but unfortunately the seating area was cold. It is January so not unusual but most guests had their coats on due to open plan design. This also gave rise to cooking smell on clothes. However the service was impeccable and the food very good so I hope they do well.

Every year just before Christmas we go here for our pre Christmas meal out. It's the best! See you next year!

If you want to escape to Greece for a great meal, come to Midosmer Norton! Nisi is a Greek restaurant run by a Greek couple. They cook with heart and tradition, which makes every dish special. They serve Greek wine and other stronger Greek spirits if you'd like to try them. We had the chance to visit with our friend for their 30th birthday. The staff were helpful and looked after us very well. It's a great place for a birthday, Christmas meal, or just for lunch. We highly recommend Nisi restaurant, and we will definitely return! The food quality was lovely and generally the service was good but they completely forgot to cook one of our meals?!!! But they didn’t notice until the 3 other meals were bought out and then asked my friend what she had ordered. Surely they should have held back the meals whilst they sorted the other meal?? We were at least half way through eating ours before her meal came. There was no recompense (reduction in bill) for their very big error!! However apart from that staff, food and drinks were fine 😊

Sadly not as great as it used to be. We waited 50 minutes for our starters, they appear to prioritise takeaways (just eat). No moussaka or stifado. When we arrived home our clothes smelt badly of fried food. Shame as it used to be a superb restaurant.

The food was excellent and the service was very good with the owner personally outlining the items on the menu. A nice touch was the owner's wife chatting to us at the end, making sure that we had had a good experience.

My family and I had a fantastic birthday meal here on 09/08/24. Lovely greeting from the owners and had fantastic service throughout. The atmosphere felt as if we were dining in Greece; very beautiful restaurant! This is a family owned restaurant with authentic greek food, which is why we came here. The cocktails looked phenomenal, they all had cube lights in them with cocktail cherries and umbrellas, and were all very delicious; two of us had the Nisi special cocktails. We all ordered sides (tapas food) for everyone to share. One was forgotten (when the rest were brought out) but was remedied very swiftly. This was the best greek food we have ever tried, with our favourite being the honey feta! They are all homemade food, and the greek salad was very very delicious (we came away wanting to know how to make that salad because it was just so perfect! The taramasalata and olives were very yummy and very beautiful presentation on all the food. Lots of lovely pastries to choose from for desserts, with the option for the special or ice cream instead. I chose the meringue special, and enjoyed it very thoroughly. Could not have asked for a nicer dessert to end the day with, and is now one of my favourite desserts! Overall, very very enjoyable experience, and will definitely come back here again!

I had dinner at Nisi this evening and would highly recommend it. The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Additionally, they offer takeaways, which is a great bonus. Overall, Nisi is a fantastic choice for dining in or taking out.

Food was excellent !! Lovely staff but Service slow.( Greek time🤣) But if you are happy to wait and chill ,then it’s a great find.

My wife and I had dinner here. It was our first visit. Despite the restaurant only being half full, service was very poor: my wife and I waited for over an hour for our food to be served. Almost all of the mussels in our linguine order (the night’s Special) were served closed, and squid was substituted for many of the prawns. The apology from the chef was little more than half hearted, with a staff shortage being cited as the cause. A very disappointing experience. Our overall impression is that the owners are prioritising takeaways over restaurant clients.

First time at Nisi and definitely won’t be the last. The place was really authentic and the food was delicious … and so typically Greek! Loved it!!

The food was good greek food but the service was appalling. 2 menus for a table of 8 people, warm white wine, starters arruvibg after main courses, many items not available and incorrect dishes served.

One menu offered between four. We had to ask for more. We had to ask to order and ask for cutlery. Some starters came out after the main course. Had to remind them to bring drinks we ordered. Main course orders were wrong and not everything came. Waiter came back and argued that the kitchen had sent everything out. One of us was sat there with no food! We saw the funny side of it, but it really was the worst service I've ever come across. Won't be returning. Food was tasty, but not worth putting up with the terrible service.

Unfortunately not a great meal last night the Pork gyros was so hard I couldn’t even get it on the fork and my partners chicken was half the amount of mine, really disappointed.

Celebrated my birthday at Nisi with 28 friends and family. Wonderful food and lovely atmosphere. The staff really looked after us and made sure we had a great evening.

Just had my 1st take away. Which was out of this world so juicy and fresh. Everything was cooked to perfection by the most amazing lady I've met in a long time. just such an amazing place. Only down side is why did I wait so long to even try this place. Will definitely be my new go to place for quality food in the comfort of my own home. But would definitely recommend eating in just for the service. And the puddings mmmmmm say no more

Ordered as a last minute idea and wasn’t disappointed, the wrap was lovely, we tried the halloumi version. The service is great and loved the fact they make it fresh despite ordering a good 20 mins beforehand via the phone. They want to make the best impression and that impressed me. We will be going back for sure

Gorgeous hidden gem! We stopped in for a drink and cake, my toddler was in his element! We shared a gorgeous chocolate heart cake, he had a mixed Greek fruit drink and I had a pot of tea. A lovely treat!

What a little Gem. Authentic Greek cuisine to die for. Poly and Elias made us so welcome. I loved the blue and white traditional Taverna feel. The menu was extensive and made it difficult to choose. The sweet cabinet was full of joyous treats. Baklava was just yummy!! A superb relaxed atmosphere to enjoy with friends or family. I highly recommend a visit to see for yourself how good this place is. I will definitely be back.

The food is beautiful, proper authentic Greek from starters to deserts The wraps are amazing, transported us back to Greece but in a little corner of Somerset! Metaxa and Ouzo available as well! Seriously worth a try if you are craving Greek food!

Booked on a Tuesday night for my mums birthday. Four adults and 7 year old. Greeted by a friendly gentleman waiter who made us feel welcome and gave us good enough time to look at the menu. No childrens menu but they were so accommodating as he said they could make spaghetti with tomato sauce or cheese if my son didn’t want chicken and chips. My son actually wanted to try the mac and cheese so they made a smaller portion for him which was very sweet. The food was seriously delicious. Was like eating on holiday in Greece and I could have eaten my weight in the tzatziki and pitta. Everyone on the table enjoyed everything they ordered and even my fussy son and father said how yummy it was. We spoke to the gentleman waiter who later found out was the owner with his wife who cooks the food. They source all herbs, spices and oils from Greece so no wonder it all tasted fantastic. Definitely be back and want to support this lovely place especially as the owners are so accommodating and genuine.

Having heard about this Greek cafe/restaurant fairly local to us we were very much looking forward to sampling the Greek cuisine. Having visited at least 19 islands and 2 stays on the mainland in Athens and Halkidiki, we missed the colourful and tasty cuisine. We ordered olives to go with our wine together with a greek salad - olives 8 for £4.00. Greek salad was good. I ordered Moussaka and my husband a special off the board - both were ok but not particularly good Overall the bill was quite expensive for an ok meal and charged for Sauvignon Blanc but served white house wine. Not one we would return to

Really lovely first time visit last night - thoroughly enjoyed the (impressively homemade!) food. Delicious flavours (the Melitzanosalata was a stand out for me, even though I may have offended by calling it Baba Ganoush!) and super friendly service. A treat to have such a place in Midsomer Norton - will definitely be back!

A well needed addition to eating out in Midsomer Norton, situated next to the bus stop at The Island. On entering there was a lovely atmosphere with Greek music playing softly in the background, the decor is clean, fresh, and summery, you feel as though you are in a taverna on a Greek Island. We were greeted warmly by the owners and shown to a lovely table by the window. The menu was mostly homemade Meze, so we chose the aubergine dip, fried Greek cheese, then the delicious Tzatziki, some spiced sausage, and pitta bread, all so fresh tasting. We then tried the filo tart with custard filling, yummy! To drink we tried the Greek Rose which went down well, then a Greek beer and a glass of Greek white wine, all good. We look forward to our next long lunch and trying more of the delicious Meze and perhaps the Greek salad, or Moussaka. The owner told us that they plan to open a restaurant at the back part of the building, which was good news to us, we look forward to that.

Just had a very long lunch at Nisi, the welcome was friendly, lovely owners, the place looks really cool, but the food was excellent, everything we had tasted fresh, because it was home made, we had tzatziki, aubergine dip, pitta bread , fried cheese, pastourma, finished with Bougasta . We had a bottle of the rose wine and a bottle of Mythos beer. What a pleasure it is to have this new eatery in Midsomer Norton, we look forward to our next visit.

Amazing Greek coffee & custard pastry (sorry can't remember the name of it) very friendly and helpful staff

A new and very welcome Greek meze type restaurant opened up in the Island area of MSN - Nisi - Greek for 'Island' - quite a neat name, considering the address. Opening hours are irregular :- 9.00 to 18.30 Tuesday to Saturday. Closed - Sundays and Mondays (probably a Greek thing) 19.00 - 23.00 every Friday and Saturday the place functions as a Mezze Bar - RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED - (but we'll see how that works out) On these evenings a Greek drink with some mezze while listening to soft Greek music, does sound very appealing. Tel 01761 751 682 to reserve your table. There are two sittings for these events - early 19.00 - 21.00, or later 21.00 - 23.00...or maybe beyond(?) Clearly catering for a more discerning clientèle, the provender on offer will appeal to those of a more refined palette. The seating area is not yet complete, they are still in early days, but the ambience where finished, is clean and bright. I'm there on this Friday after work having missed-lunch-need-an-early-dinner and was initially the sole patron. I ordered a dish of RED BELL PEPPERS, stuffed with Greek cheese with PITTA bread - medium hot and surprisingly filling. Washed down with a couple of glasses of the house white. Follows - KARYDOPITA, a Greek walnut cake. The generous glass of METAXA Cognac with the true Greek coffee (half an inch of mud on the bottom) finished off the meal perfectly. And all this for £25 I can see this being a frequent after work stop-over
