Nino's Kitchen in Croydon

This place short changed me 20 years ago. I live just round the corner and have never been back since. I can't be sure it was deliberate but it really seemed deliberate at the time. I feel 3/5 is fair on balance.

Ordered meat on chips from Uber eats for delivery. Food instructions completely ignored, chips really poor and bad not good either and the whole thing is swimming in grease. Absolutely shocking.

Been going to this place for over 12 years so prior to the new branding. Every single person is and has always been so professional, friendly and lovely to deal with. The food of course is brilliant and their homemade chilli sauce is great!

The service over the phone was horrendous. I placed an order before the place opened so it was a scheduled order for 1pm. The staff then called me at 12 to say the food is ready, I said okay… I ordered for delivery not collection. So he asked me where I live, as if I’m going to leave my house to come and get it :/ - called again around 12:50 for an update and he said he’s still waiting for a driver to come and bring the food to me which was cool I guess, but the attitude from the staff was disgusting. Absolutely no need to be rude when the fault clearly lies with you. Next time, ensure you have drivers ready for when your restaurant opens instead of being rude to your customers because it’s not okay.

It is no longer called 'Newroz Grill' New name is "The Kings Kitchen" it's a great place, does kebabs as well as breakfast. The old photos on Google don't do it justice, so I've uploaded newer ones.

Late night kebabs - very good. Introduced to this place by a friend, keen pub-goer, musician and bandmate. Now, after returning from a gig, the musician is often tired and hungry and has few options on places to get hot food after 01.00 or later. This place is open until 02.00 most of the week and 04.00 on Fri and Sat (check times!!). Never too busy when its late, so service is quite fast and efficient. I found they really stuff the pitta bread with a lot of filling - the most of any kebab shops open nearby - and so a small Doner and chips is very filling. Been eating here for many years now, and the go-to place when I am in need and in the area. Nice staff. If you're after a swift Doner kebab after an evening at the pub, this place is perfect. They open later than any kebab shops around. They offer more than just Doner meat though; try shish (meat lumps on a skewer) and kofte (minced meat on a skewer) and mix it up with them in combination. They are more expensive - you automatically get charged for a large kebab - but the meat is better quality that Doner. That said, sometimes all you need is Doner - quick and filling. Best mixed option at the moment is the Shish & Doner combination. Standard salad options, but be specific for what you want. These days I talk them through exactly what we want salad-wise to ensure complete satisfaction. I heartily suggest chilli sauce and garlic sauce toppings to bring out the flavours and make it taste really good. Consistently nice food, never a health worry, and pretty friendly service. You can order ahead for collection or delivery.

Lets just say theres a reason why this place is always empty now.

Had a kebaby here. Did the job.

Found myself here today after work and I have to say the food was amazing. We had a couple of burgers and a couple of kebabs (one chicken and one lamb doner). Food was tasty and good quality. The chips/fries just melt in your mouth. The chilli sauce was the one for me - I even took some home with me haha. The owner a hard working, honest Turkish fella. Respect to you. Will be back!

As we have endured lockdowns and restrictions in Tiers 2 and, now, Tier 3 we have much used those restaurants who have persevered and with very good delivery services. Nino's is one such. Tonights vegetarian and veal cannelonis arrived promptly and piping hot. Both were delicious. Hats off to Nino's

Have enjoyed the penne arribiata, ciabattas and custard tarts from here! Cute interior and friendly service. Large pasta portions - excited to try pizza next!

Our first experiment with Deliveroo, and our first experience with this Italian restaurant of whom we had not previously heard. From their menu on-line we chose the vegetarian canneloni - a helping was certainly enough for one person. It was ricotta cheese and spinach in a tomato sauce. It arrived piping hot from the restaurant which is about a mile from us. This first experience was first class and deserves a repeat visit

I have used Nino’s many times for eat in and take out. They are superb. Quality, price, cleanliness, friendliness are all so important to them. Highly recommended. It is so important that we support our local establishments during this lock down . Take away selection is great, just try them

I visited this place and I was mesmerised by the taste of the food. Not only that you are the best but you are number one. Fantastic service, cozy ambience, relaxation, delicious fresh food at reasonable prices. You did not taste the beauty of traditional Italian food in London, unless you visit this place. I had visited Ninos kitchen for the first time in the new year and loved the food. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the food was authentic Italian food just like being in an Italian home. Really needed some good food in the lockdown period so got a takeaway and it was brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

We visited Nino’s to meet up friends and catch up. Very easy walk from the Station if you’re not a local and just visiting. Centrally located and plenty of local parking on streets. The highlight of our visit was the owner taking time to meet and greet us. The pizzas were the best and the Tiramisu was perfection. A gem of a local with plenty of popular dishes and an easy vibe. The decor is pretty amazing too. Well worth a visit and going back again!

Non mi sono mai sentita così ben accolta e trattata bene come da nino. Il personale è fantastico e molto amichevole. Il cibo è buonissimo, vero cibo italiano preparato da uno chef professionale, una qualità e quantità prezzo rara qua a Londra. Il menù è molto ampio e vario, per tutti i gusti. L'ambiente e confortevole e l'atmosfera mette sempre allegria. Ormai vado da nino da mesi e non penso abbia mai trovato posto migliore qua a Croydon. Se doveste andare vi consiglio assolutamente di provare la cheesecake! Deliziona e leggera, ti si scioglie in bocca senza nausearti. Lo condiglio assolutamente! I have never felt so well wanted and well treated as in nino. The employees are amazing and super friendly. The food it's superb, proper italian food made by a professional chef, the quality and quantity are absolutely worth the price, thing really rear to find in London. The menu is really big and vary, for every taste. The environment is really confortable and the atmosphere always makes you smile. I am going to nino for months now and I can't think of a better place in all Croydon. If you decide to go I would suggest you to try the cheesecake. It so light and delicious. I would definitely suggest it!

I had a delicious homemade lasagna with a well dressed side salad which was very fresh. The service is always friendly and attentive. This is a great edition to the area and represents excellent value for money as the portion sizes are good. The coffee here is better than any of the chain coffee shops and significantly cheaper! Looking forward to going back to try their pizzas.

Fabulous little Italian cafe. Very friendly staff and authentic Italian food. Arrabiata sauce was exquisite and as good as anything you would be served in Italy. Large portions and pasta cooked al dente to perfection. A hidden gem in Croydon. I can see it becoming popular across London when news catches on!

24 hours in my area; always worth a visit if you need your kebab

A former Portuguese cafe has recently become a charming Italian cafe and restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All homemade from a classic menu. Definitely worth a visit. And prices are very reasonable.

My small chicken donner looked OK but didn't smell great. Might have been the optional squirt of garlic sauce/garlic mayo(?) I was offered (and accepted). I lost faith in the meat, salad and pitta quite quickly. Only ate about a third as I had visions of an upset stomach. I'm sure this was just an 'off night' but I may look elsewhere in the future. Sorry.

Stuff don’t understand English properly.Meat tests like spongy....high in price..waste off money ...

Felt physically sick after eating there donner kebab. Dosent taste like real meat. The chips were okay but 10 minutes after eating everyone started throwing up. Would not recomemnd.

Not bad, got a lamb donner from them it was adequate. The meat wasn't freshly grilled, it was pulled from a holding pot ...fortunately it was still moist. The pita bread weren't grilled or grilled for long enough so that spoiled the overall meal abit. Service was friendly and polite. I'd still recommend them if you're in the area.

Had small chicken shish with chips it was very nice and great customer service

It's a good family run business that I have used for year. Good food friendly staff and good delivery service. Open and delivers till 3am on Friday and Saturday and open till 4 maybe 5 at the weekends so can always get my kebab after a night out. Good job guys keep it up.

Newroz Grill! Been feeding me since i moved to croydon and has never gone wrong allways fresh delicious food, fresh crispy salad and of course the Chilli Sauce which needs to be mentioned. Thank you for the amazing kebabs. Deffo recommended to everyone.
