On a walk around Derry we were needing a little java to keep up up our hill-climbing strength. The place was well staffed and fairly empty when we arrived but within 10 minutes there wasn’t a table open for anyone. Tried my first Long Black here and was very happy with the service and coffee flavour. Definitely great spot for tourists wanting a non-multinational experience. Sit inside or brave the Derry linguist sunshine outside at the picnic tables.

I had went here to get a coffee and noticed a man with grey hair called Ryan MC cauly picking his nose behind the counter whilst making my coffee, so I confronted him about this whilst giving me my coffee and he got very aggressive, and threatened me. I felt very threatened and had to leave, I will not visit this place again!! I do not recommend this place at all as it is not a friendly place to visit!!

Busy little spot that's dog friendly fine by me but some others might not be comfortable with that worth knowing before you venture up the hill to this café. First impressions were positive again keeping in theme with most places we visited in Derry the decor is influenced by salvage and industrial item's. Downstairs seemed to be well kept clean and modern however it being busy we were showed to and upstairs area that was less so inviting. The ceiling and walls had pealing Paint and plaster that was cracked and falling in the stairwell. White mould seemed to be making itself at home on both the wall and ceiling. The eating area upstairs felt like a school mess hall or a work canteen not at all what I would have expected from the outside. Food however was the saving grace for this café we both enjoyed 2 very different dishes I had dirty loaded fries with buttermilk chicken which was outstanding although the portion size was a little on the small side and I don't have a big appetite. My partner had a sandwich which she said was excellent and being a Chef it did look fantastic and having tasted the chicken it in her sandwich it was very good . Price range is a little tasty here our 2 dishes plus a tea and coffee took our bill to almost £30 which when converted to Euro takes this lunch to over €30 . Which really surprised me given both our dishes were priced one under £10 the other under £11 meaning a tea and a coffee came in at almost £9 I'm not one who pinches penny's but my god you have to look after the pounds like. I honestly think the food was delicious if a little bit pricy but £9 or so for a tea and a coffee is ridiculous by anyone's standards. Overall would recommend for food of sitting downstairs or outside. Teas coffees are expensive imo which will bulk up your bill .

A quiet spot for an Irish breakfast. We were served quickly. I had the traditional Irish breakfast, my daughters a Bap sandwich and porridge. All were delicious. They also mixed the coffee drinks to my daughters liking (and they can be picky). Delicious place for breakfast.

Lovely coffee shop, stopped in on the way to the Bogside to look at the murals. Pancakes were lovely, toasties looked great. Defiantly worth a visit.

This coffee shop is located at the top end of a character pedestrianised street by an entrance to the historic Derry Walls. We needed a coffee by the time we climbed up the hill from the hotel, so this was ideally placed. It has a pleasant interior and an outside seating area. The coffee was very good quality and the staff were very friendly .

I was staying in the city for about six weeks. I love desserts aka "sweets." I have never seen such an array at this spot and many others. I liked this spot for its setting as well.
