Molly Malones in Derry

The food was amazing and the staff so friendly and fast. The beef was perfectly cooked with the side of garlic's being so tasty. The desert was equally as perfect.

Just been to Molly's for a family birthday meal. 12 people in total. We were looked after from the minute we came in until the minute we left. Great choice on the menu also. I personally had the Jamaican pork fillet with red win jus which was delicious. The rest of the party had a variety of dishes, which was enjoyed by all. The portions are excellent with lovely side orders To top it off the waiter brought down desserts to chorus of happy birthday played through the bar speakers. We'll be back

We were so happy with the food, staff and service. Our waitress couldn't do enough for us, I think her name was Ciara and was so friendly. Have already recommended this restaurant/bar to friends

What's not to enjoy, staff were excellent helpful and engaging with recommendations. Food was plentiful from a vast menu and served promptly. Prices were very reasonable. Throughly enjoyed my night out.

I was in this restaurant tonight, and although I cannot say a bad word for the food, I cannot say the same for the conversations that certain members of staff were having in close proximality to customers, and myself. The lady who seemed to in charge, was not shy in discussing someone's personnel business in quite a negative tone beside our table with what looked to be a walk in customer. I found this quite rude and distasteful, and put a dampener on what was for the most part a nice meal. Made all the more so as i also had an idea of who the person was that they were discussing. I would highly recommend that in such a small city, that such conversation where kept private. It is very inappropriate and very very very unprofessional!! Again food was good, staff not much in this instance!!!!!

3 of us called in for a meal after an afternoon in donegal. We got a table a few minutes after arrival. Waitress presented menus and offered us a drink. Ordered 5 minutes later and maybe 10 minutes later meal arrived. Lamb shank. Baked salmon. Chicken stack. All with fresh 3 vegetables and fresh made potatoes and herbal fried/ saute potatoes. Plates roasting and the food was outstanding. Normally we chat awsy but honestly we were each slowly savouring the best meal any of us EVER received in Derry. Extra sides ordered of veg were brought quickly. Seriously great food! Didn't have room for desserts or coffees ...but will be back. Televisions were muted and this busy restaurant had plenty of clean skilled waiting staff. Other tables had families, parties of 10 and plenty of couples too. Only point I would suggest to improve is the entrance area from car park is littered and untidy. Prob not part of restaurant but certainly doesn't give encouraging 1st impressions . 10 mins a day keeping that clean would certainly not be a waste of time.

Would not be visiting this place again! The staff were so rude. We had a table for 9 @8pm booked and when we arrived we were told the kitchen was closed… the blonde haired lady we were speaking with was so rude and turned us away after traveling 40 mins. As well as the poor staff on entry into the building the smell of dampness was horrible. Would not be visiting here again. Disgusted.

Too many tv screens, children allowed to run around as they liked. Food is good but not worth the noise level

food was absolutely vile.ordered Sunday dinner for family as a treat.( some treat ) food arrived cold.meat was extremely fatty.gravy was lumpy not 2 mention a blonde hair in my husband's meal.very poor will not be eating fro. there again

The staff were lovely and were kind enough to offer us a nicer table - without being prompted - when it became available. In addition, there was a good selection of above average pub food which was reasonably priced and was served in generous portions. The place, however, was packed with people and covered with TV screens making it difficult to talk properly. Additionally, precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 were non existent which is, frankly, unsafe and concerning.

Went for lunch with a friend.very poor service and quite awful food. No one asked when paying was all ok.had to also pay for the drinks separately.avoid this place. Atrocious.

We stopped in to avail of the governments eat out promotion for August. I asked if this was on and was told yes and that drinks were to be paid separately which was no problem. When we went to pay our bill they did not take the £10.00 per person off as per government scheme off our bill, they only halved it. I queried this with the waitress and she said this is the way we are doing it and you're getting your dinner half price which if that was what we were expecting would have been alright but it is not what the scheme is. Feeling disappointed and dismayed at the underhanded way this is being done

Unreal food one of my favourites but unbelievably slow service, we nearly got up and left because we were that hungry. Had to wait 15 mins for a seat which is fair enough and was happy to do. Then had to actually get up and ask somebody to take our order we were waiting that long. Placed order at 16:35 and didn’t get it till 17:13. My Yorkshire pudding came out 5 mins after the roast dinner and was frozen in the middle. By the time they came back out with it I nearly had the rest of my dinner finished. Couldn’t do it to myself again. Which is a massive pity cause food really is top class.

I had been meaning to visit this venue for some time, eventually I made it there with my granddaughter. What a nice surprise. I had the fish and chips as that is the best dish to assess a pub restaurant, if that is good everything else will be. I am happy to report the fish and chips was very, very good, as good as I have had. My granddaughter had chicken and found it also very good.

It was early 12.30 on a weekday so probably not a good time to see it in full swing. However the food was excellent and the service first class.

We enjoyed our meal here quite a bit. The food is well-prepared, solid, not terribly imaginative but tasty. The atmosphere is a pretty standard pub, not overly noisy but clearly enjoyed by patrons. Waitstaff are prompt and attentive. Would dine here again.
