Da Vinci's Grillroom Restaurant in Derry

Food was OK in the restaurant. Nothing mind blowing. Really poor vegetarian selection. Music from the bar is pumped into the restaurant which is unnecessary. Not enough waiting staff which led to poor service. We had to go to the bar ourselves for drinks as it was quicker. Unfortunately it won't be on the top of my list for eating out. A note on the bar. Some creeps as clientele, and some very drunk annoying pests. More vigilant staff on this please.

Good hotel and a nice stay. The room was a little run down but overall good. Staff were excellent, both check in and checkout were smooth. The lift was a bit juddery

I went to Da Vinci's for a staff Christmas party, The staff were very friendly and professional. The food and service was great, I did not stay in the hotel. The event was held in a lovely function room separated from the main bar, it was well decorated and atmospheric, would recommend for such events in the future.

We had our staff/client Christmas dinner & disco in Da Vincis on Wednesday 18th December, and we couldn't have asked for better. A lot of our clients have additional needs, and the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone had the best experience. The venue was beautiful and exquisitely decorated for Christmas, creating an enchanting space filled with Christmas joy. All the staff were very friendly and the food was served without delay. The food itself was delicious and everyone really enjoyed it. Some required their food to be liquidised, and this was not an issue for the kitchen. The staff & clients at Maybrook Adult Learning Centre would like to thank Liam and everyone at Da Vinci's for making our day so magical.

The service from the staff was very efficient and friendly. The hotel and room was very clean. The bar was great (good Guinness too). My only gripe is the restaurant, very limited menu and you are forced to pay for a minimum of 2 courses. No option for just 1 main. The food was also very poor. Not impressed at all. We also seen other food coming from the same kitchen which is served in the hotel bar, but not the restaurant. Doesn't make sense to me. I would definitely stay at Da Vinci's again, just avoid the restaurant next time. UPDATE We stayed here again last night for the Santa Experience (our second time) and it was far better than before! Santa's elves collected us from our room and took us down to meet the man himself, and what a pleasure it was. Santa knew our kids names without us introducing them and knew what they wanted for Christmas and all their recent achievements in life (with a little help from the reception staff). It really was fantastic. The kids loved it. The food in the restaurant had vastly improved as well as the menu itself. And all reasonably priced. The Guinness it still great too.

Didn't stay but ate in the bar and the food and staff were amazing!!!

From the moment we walked in till the moment we left we were made welcome, the staff were so friendly, helpful and cheerful, total professionals. The food was amazing , dessert was amazing service was excellent. Receptionists were so helpful, no matter how busy they were they always helped with a smile. Rooms were so quiet, clean and very very comfortable. Can't say enough good things about the hotel or the staff , amazing people and place .

Went to restrurant on Saturday 16th. November it was really cold and the service was not good. Really slow and had to ask few times for our drinks they brought the wine but no glasses to drink from. Not enough staff on no training. We stood at bar for 10/15mins before getting served. One of the staff was very rude and seemed to have an attitude problem. The service would put me off going again on Saturdays no where near the staff needed for a busy night. Disappointed.

Nice hotel with novel bar set up. Friendly staff.

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, and it is well-maintained and clean. I highly recommend it.

Had a wee overnight stay with 3 friends for a special birthday, rooms were clean and spacious, dinner and breakfast was excellent, all staff were very friendly and helpful,the hotel is on a bus route so easy to get to, I would recommend Da Vinci's Hotel for a nice break

I can't fault the hotel or the staff they were lovely and hard working, I hope the staff are looked after they are a credit to your company. Our room was spotless, smelt lovely, it was spacious, had everything we needed so we'll done to housekeeping, the only down side was there was no pastries at breakfast time and we were there around 8am my little one loves them, but that's it, thankyou for a lovely stay and I love its pet friendly ❤️ even though we didn't have our dog with us, amazing

Food was the most bland food I have ever tasted and had to send it back to reheat it. Really disappointing as thought it would be a new place to go for lunch. Went to pull the table closer and it was filthy and all sticky.

There was 20 of us there for 60th birthday and was worst place i have never been at service was bad .staff wasnt friendly food was cold . had to wait 15 min for our side orders . never be back . ?

Sub standard service! Visited Da Vincis for a bite to eat along with 4 family members. First thing we noticed was how cold it was. 4 out of the 5 wore coats while eating. At first when we arrived, a member of staff was with us within minutes. We asked could we have a few minutes tobdecide what we where having. Roughly 10 minutes later they took our order, no problem. It then took 10 mins for the starter to arrive. And another 15 mins after we finished until we had to all a member of staff to say we had finished. The main took another 15 mins and was like warm at best with no cutlery. After getting this sorted. We had to wait approx 35 + minutes after finishing to have someone approach us to clear the table. It tool another hour to get tea and coffee, and when asked for biscuits it took another 15 mins, by which time the tea/coffee was cold. Overall not a good experience. On the plus side, even though luke warm, the food was tasty.

Excellent all round. Welcomed and well taken care of by Leon and staff who ensured that the children were looked after and made use of the childrens area. Food was delicious. The staff were excellent and we will definitely be back

Having been here before I expected so much more. It took 20 minutes for a staff member to come and get our drink order after we were first sat. This set the tone for the rest of the evening unfortunately. Every time we tried to order we could not get anyone's attention. We asked for a food menu which arrived at 7.45 not to be told the kitchen closes at 8pm. We tried to order at 8.10 just to be told we couldn't with a shoulder shrug. When we were leaving, tried to use the bathroom just to be told "hurry up, I just want to go home. I doubt we will be returning any time soon as the staff just seemed to not want to be there! Such a shame for a well established hotel and bar.
