we were hungry so went here, being the first stall. what a disappointment. we love chilli food so asked for fresh green chillies to be added to the curry seasoned chicken. the lady instead squirts a ton of the cheap generic red chllli sauce on them, we said we didnt ask for that as it would effect the curry flavour, so she looks frustrated and uses the prongs to bin about half the chicken which was covered in the chilli sauce, the prongs smacking against the dirty bin lid, then using the same prongs to get out some chicken to replace. so dirty, not surprised friend finds a dead beetle and another hair in their food. won't be back there, even if paid!

I was walking by and Nilly's Turkish Kitchen caught my eye. They were making fresh gozleme (Turkish flatbread) and they looked wonderful! Even though I had already eaten, I knew I had to order one. They offer gozleme (9.50) with meat (lamb, chicken or both) and vegetarian (spinach, cheese, potatoes, aubergine). I got one with spinach, cheese and potatoes. Each flatbread is made to order, cut into eight pieces and comes with cous cous and a small salad. This was my first time eating gozleme and I can say I'm now a fan! Shared with my husband, it made for a nice light bite. The cous cous was fantastic - my husband says it was the best he's ever had! Will definitely come back the next time I'm in London!

Delicious wraps! We had chicken and the lamb. Chilli wasn’t too spicy but was yummy. £9 quite expensive for a kebab wrap but you’re in the middle of Spitalfields so can understand!

Freshly prepared which is always a plus, generous portion and filling tasted very nice. I would of liked it to be more spinachy and cheesy. Good stop for your gozeleme cravings at Old Southfields market.

Obviously there are lots of different food stalls to choose from, but we were very glad we stopped here. The flat bread dishes ( sorry can't remember the proper name! ) were very tasty, 1 lamb & 1 vegetarian & the cous cous was lovely. Lots of it .. Staff very friendly too Please give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

This is local to me and have been going here since it opened. Each visit the food is getting worse, this is my last visit. The Adana was very dry with stale taste, the beard was clearly old just warmed up, the lamachun the same with scarce meat, when asked it’s their new recipe. Even salad was stale had a funny smell and taste and that’s saying something about pickled cabbage! The grilled chicken and rice as well as the service has always been good.

I couldn't recommend this place more. We'd been looking for a good Turkish restaurant to dine at for a while, and only happened to stumble across this one while going for a run along the canal. It's just off Mile End Road but is so peaceful in comparison. It's well-decorated and has a balcony to dine outside in the summer months that looks over the canal. The service was extremely good (almost fine-dining standard). The food itself was delicious and generous portions - the bread in particular was extremely tasty. We're planning to go again for sure!
