New Sunbury Tandoori in Spelthorne

This is a very good Indian restaurant but is off the beaten track for travelers. Does not have a licence.

El personal es muy amable y me encuentro con la familia extendida, cuando todas cenamos aquí hace un tiempo. El menú ofrece la elección habitual de este tipo de restaurante y es de buena calidad y relación calidad-precio. Tienen un servicio de comida para llevar ocupado que hemos utilizado a menudo y muy satisfecho.

Hicimos un pedido de este lugar ya que está a 9 minutos en coche de nuestra oficina y estábamos trabajando hasta tarde. Pedimos antes de las 7 de la tarde y aún después de varias llamadas (y promesas que estaba a 10 minutos de distancia), una persona que hizo entrega a la dirección equivocada y el envío de un grupo de búsqueda para encontrar dicha persona entrega (chippy), comimos en alrededor de 8. 45:00 h. Algunos tomaron el hogar comida como que ya habían terminado su trabajo. Estaba delicioso y abundante, pero tibia. Nunca más.

Pedimos una comida para llevar. . . . . . Posiblemente el peor que he tenido. Algunos pelos en mis amigas de arroz. Comida fría, aguada y curry salsa increíblemente grasiento. Llame para quejarme y eran patéticas. Nunca.

El trato es excelente tanto si se come en el restaurante como si es para llevar. La comida es deliciosa, sobretodo el pollo korma, suave y tierno. Muy recomendable para disfrutar de comida India en la zona

I've driven past this curry house for years and decided to try it for the first time last night with some friends. The curry house is in an unusual location, sandwiched between a small residential area and an industrial estate. It looks appealing from the outside and first impression of the inside decor was good. On a Friday evening I was a little concerned that there was only 3 other people in the restaurant and the only waiter was an Englishman who seemed to have his young son with him. The friendly Englishman then started taking our drinks order and stated that there was no alcohol and that he would drive us to a nearby Tesco if we needed to get some. But, as luck would have it we had a few beers in the car as we were on way he from a quiz night. We ordered a popadoms, main courses, different rice dishes and variety of breads. The English waiter then had to leave to take his sleeping son home and our food was served by the chef. The food was good and the portions bigger than average. The chef was nice and friendly and kept coming back to make sure all was ok. I think this restaurant is more suitable for takeaway or delivery but not good enough for restaurant use. There are way more better curry houses in this area that offer a better service. I'm not a fussy person by any stretch of the imagination but will probably never use this restaurant again.

food is almost always fantastic. I have ordered from here several times and only once was it below their usual standard. I recommend them.

VERY Dissapointed!!! Ordered butter chicken and tandoor mixed grill. Delivery was 1hour late. Butter chicken tasted sweet as dessert and was white in color. Such a turn off! Quantity of tandoor mix grill was so less- just 1 piece of chicken leg and 2 small cubes of lamb! Paid almost 19 pounds for this!! Not worth the money! We called up the resturant to complain, , the guy says butter chicken is meant to be sweet !! Very poor customer service!! Please do not order anything from this resturant! It's a disaster!

It was clearly a busy night for them but I still have to say that the food quality was a bit off and a dish was left off the first delivery but they were good enough to send the missing dish.

Delivery arrived on time and fhe driver had a very cheerful manner. Quality of the food was very good, however both the tikka masala and the Bombay aloo has a very intense coconut taste which was not to our liking. I would not want to put this down as a bad meal it just wasn't our taste.

It took two hours to arrive and when it arrived it was missing an item

The food alone cannot substitute for appalling service. As it was a Saturday evening I was prepared to wait a further 15 minutes after the initial 70 minutes. But 4 calls later and having the restaurant shout at me and put the phone down 3 times is not acceptable. A totally harrowing experience - the order was incomplete when it came but only took 10 minutes to complete. Hmmm, I hate being lied to...,

The delivery took a hour and a half when it was original scheduled for a hour for a couple of dishes. The food was tasteless, lacked any sort of seasoning. The vegetables were mush and barely edible. The chicken was as dry as old boots (excuse the outdated phrase) and the only good thing in the dish was the poppadum i luckily added on, which says a lot. Will probably not be going back there again. Other good and reliable inidian restaurants out there.

Every time i order from you, it is always amazing, cannot say a bad word! Even the presentation! Always on time and always hot! Really appreciate how every curry is absolutely perfect! And to top my evening off is you sent me and my family a christmas card!! :) definately recommend 10/10!! And someone who loves curry this is seriously the best one! Merry christmas!

I do not normally leave reviews on takeaways but I feel after tonight I really should as out of the 2 times including tonight that I have used them, they have been late. The first time the order took an hour and twenty minutes and only turned up after I called to get an eta. Tonight I ordered at 19:50 and called for an eta at 21:04 to which I was told it would be 10 minutes. I called again at 21:31 and got told by another employee there that their car had broken down and my number was incorrect to call back. My details submitted where correct when I checked again so I don't quite see how there was a problem. The food finally turned up at 21:50, 2 hours after I ordered! I was not offered any kind of discount and was actually questioned as to whether or not I knew how much I had to pay! The warmest part to the meal was the little bag of hot fruit!!! Needless to say I will not be using them again. I am a very unsatisfied customer.

Food arrived 45 minutes after its delivery time, over an hour and a half

2hrs 10 minutes to get a delivery due to a 'car that wouldn't start". Assured that the food would be hot on arrival. The only thing hot was the salad. The food ended up In the bin. On contacting the restaurant they told me they would make a "fresh one. Why on earth would I want more! Worst experience ever on all counts.

Popadoms extremely greasy, Bombay aloo was awful, chicken tikka covered in onions, first time using this take away and won't be using it again. Terrible

As soon as I walked into the restaurant the lack of clientele was a cause for worry. The flashing lights in the restaurant was a cause for concern, the glowing food when I got home was a cause for concern. The first bite confirmed my concerns and will never go back. Packed food into the bin and ordering from another restaurant to compensate for a miserable experience. Avoid if you can..

Brilliant! Such good Service, Delivery time was what it was expected to be, and the delivery man was friendly. The food tasted great, and I enjoyed every last bit of it. Cant recommend enough!

They forgot the rice I had ordered but I didnt call as they took ages to come and it would have been pointless having rice by itself.

Ordered meal online took an hour and a half to arrive. Food needed to be reheated. Food was greasy and not very appetizing the best food was the rice and naan bread. Felt slightly sickly afterwards would not use them again and not recommend them to anyone.

Lamb was cold and hard, can cook better myself with ease! Forgot chipati and wanted to refund the following day as they couldn't be bothered to bring one out even though we paid for it, shocking - Never again

Food was amazing, as good as a curry can get. It was a Saturday night so they were busy, but it took about 1h40m to get my food and I was almost on my deathbed when it arrived. Then they forgot the rice so I had to call them and they rectified it within 5 mins which was nice, but I was unhappy that they forgot it in the first place, especially considering how long I had to wait. However, I will order again because the food really was amazing.

Delivery took nearly 2hrs to arrive, when it did it was cold. Have had better from this takeaway.

As the order was requested for 8.40pm, why did it come just after 7.30pm. I paid over £26 to eat cold food as I ordered the food at that time because I knew I would not get home until 8pm. Then when I phoned to complain I was hung up on by the Restaurant.

Right at the top of the many curry houses around. Very impressed with service and most importantly the very tasty food.

People who work at this indian restaurant are unable to speak proper adequate english , I never got what was ordered , the delivery was 40 minutes late and the food was dissapointing to say the least. I will therefore not be ordering indian takeaway from this place again.

Never again, my Daughter in law said they have used this for their takeaways on several occasions, I was at her house and she said how about a take out so I said yes. We choose the dishes online then called the order in, the lady who took the call was rude, the food came within the time they said, but to be honest we where both dissapointed with the food, I had a chicken tikka when biting it it felt like it had been mashed up and reformed, not what I would call nice!! The popadoms tasted dreadful, cooked in old oil taste. My Daughter inlaws meal was not nice either, chicken korma, the colour was off putting to start with and not very tasty, she will not be ordering from there again, and I said that has put me right off. There are much better places than this one.

Mixed kebab was missing the nan. Should have been 5 lamb chops only came with 4. All dishes padded out with onions. Food was tasty otherwise, shame about the service.

Extremely disappointing! The food arrived and hour and half after my oder was placed. When my food arrived it was cold to say the least. The food quality was also poor with my popadoms being stale and unpleasant. The naan was not even crispy. Both of the curries that I ordered were lacking flavour which left me highly disappointed due to the high expectations i had for this resultant based on the reviews. The only good part to my meal was the rice but that shouldn't have been the highlight of my meal. I would not give this place a second chance; due to the food being below standard. If the food was late but the had some flavour i would have given them a second chance.

Food was okay but the worst service ever! We are AVOIDING at all costs now. We called up to enquire about a dish that had hardly any meat and we were told "if you don't like it, don't come back"... Followed by some shouting and more rude comments! So don't expect an order to be fixed if something goes wrong because they have absolutely NO MANNERS or CUSTOMER SERVICE. We were so shocked, so beware, if something goes wrong there won't be a refund or any kind of apology or reconciliation. Disgusting.

Food excellent but delivered 25 mins too soon and we were not ready....

It is rated as 4.5 stars and hence had high expectations from this place but unfortunately it didn't live up to it. I had ordered half tandoori chicken, which for some reason was little sweet. Garlic chicken was OK. Naam bread was really big and hard. Overall a big disappointment for me.

Second time ordering from here. Absolutely fantastic food! This time had kasmir chicken, Rogan lamb and Peshwari Nan - all delicious! Food came nice and warm and customer service was superb!

We went there few weeks ago to order some take away.No customers in the restaurant, horrible music that you can't listen, 2 man praying on the white cloth, very bizarre and shocking experience.No chance to have a glass of wine.In general: horrible music( sound like Muslim prayer), no guest at all. Our food was tasteless, look like was cooked from frozen, the only I liked was rice. We paid nearly 30£ for piece of greasy and tasteless food. Do not recommend to anyone, I'm not surprised that all tables were empty. I would never goes back there. It was bad experience

Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi,nice and hot. Good quality chicken to boot. Sea Bass isnt a fillet however, its a fish with the bones in, but my partner said it was good quality but would recommend they state this !

This restaurant has changed hands so many times over the years. The current owners clearly have no experience of running a restaurant. The service is so slow, parts of your order are always forgotten. A friend ordered madras and it tasted like a beef stew, there wasn't any spices in it at all! The food is of poor quality which is sad because it used to be lovely. We wont be returning until it has changed hands again to see if it has improved.

Food Quality - Half Tandoori Chicken quite dry Dhansak was bland, lacked the sweetness SagAloo good Rest of order was nice but have had better. Delivery Time - Took an hour but did apologise for delay as busy period.

The food and service was great my only issue was that i ordered a chicken tikka massala and there wasn't enough chicken only 5 pieces and loads of sauce and the same thing with the lamb sag loads of spinach and not enough lamb
