New Regent Chinese Takeaway in Middlesbrough

Ordered Thai Green Curry. Absolutely inedible. Ridiculously spicy, chemical taste and not a hint of coconut milk, just a stodgy gelatinous corn starch mess.

This is the 3rd time ordering from here and never disappointed sweet and sour chicken balls tonight great portion size and proper chicken

Food arrived hot and fresh, service and delivery was quick and efficient, and the staff were all friendly and kind. The price was also reasonable for the amount of food we ordered! Overall a very good Chinese takeaway! Would recommend!

I ordered a curry sauce with my chicken and mushroom curry and it comes in some oil substance that is black which was not ordered, when I rang and let them know they did not do anything about it. Really bad customer service, food looks disgusting.

Of all the Chinese I've tried around here, this one was the best so far - well cooked but crisp vegetables, meat that didn't need to be chewed for an hour, not dripping in oil, delivered twenty minutes earlier than promised & nice and hot when it arrived. Would happily go to again, and recommend others to.

Nice food what more do you want from a takeaway

Ordered and paid through their website, given 90 minute wait time, okay,then given a delay notification, okay, waited 10 more minutes and then called. Told they had no order despite email and our bank verification that money had gone. When we contacted the website manager they apologised as the store had had to close. Even though when I called them they were still taking orders. Finally to add insult to injury we got an email over 2 hours later saying they were unable to accept our order. All this despite a 30% price increase. Not happy 😒 😕

Great Chinese takeaway best in the TS5 area, Special Singapore vermicelli and curry is spot on which is why it's our go to Chinese and the staff are friendly

I ordered food they took payment and didn't even turn up been trying to ring for days for a refund and have had no answer.

Do not order from here. Not sure what is going on as we have used them for a long time now but currently they're accepting orders and payment but not delivering. No answer when ring the shop.

We will never order from these again. Could not see, feel or taste the food. Oh wait that's right, they took our money and then did not bother delivering!!!!

Awful.. delivered almost an hour late. Curry sauce was everywhere in the bag covering almost all the food and with it being cold it was like jelly. Then after pealing through it the food was a burnt mess.. the whole.lot went in the bin 35 quid wasted. Phoned the shop and they just left phone on the side while they spoke to each other. No refund no apologies..order at your own risk..

Ordered from here for the first time recently, was very impressed with both the quality of the food plus the portion sizes. There's a nice selection of vegetarian options too, which is rare to see from a Chinese Takeaway place in Teesside. The chilli and honey beancurd/tofu is delicious!

Not used this place for some time due to their bad press in relation to hygiene ratings. Due to their, apparently, getting their house in order, we decided to order tonight as our regular takeaway is closed on a Tuesday. NEVER AGAIN - food was bland, chewy and greasy. Totally inedible (including the rice and chips!). Suffice to say I will NOT return. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Delivery was quick but food was dire!! 😳. Although there was plenty of It, the food itself was somewhat bland and not very hot......thank goodness for microwaves!!!🤯 Tried it but will not be ordering again anytime soon.....sorry!!🍟

Love it the foods unreal never had a bad dish

It says it is under new management and you can tell. Ordered something very simple, fried rice, chips, curry. Left the takeaway, walked 5 mins home & Everything was cold. Chips were also so over done. Crispy to the point where it hurt to chew them. I had to warm everything up in the microwave. I haven't used them for 18 month at least. Very disappointed if they can't get basic food correct I don't want to try anything else. Poor food

Omg . Drama ,food was oversalTed.No recommend to everyone

First time I've ordrer from here never again. The rice was obviously from night before hard and crispy. Got prawn curry ha more like onion curry with a few prawns thrown in disgusting.

Great food, good portions and quick delivery

Ordered from here tonight after several months break as the last meal was very poor quality with no meat. Tonight's meal was fabulous and one of the best chinese meals we have ever had.
