Flower Drum Chinese Takeaway in Middlesbrough

My stomach is generally very sensitive so may not happen to you, but for me I am not planning to order again. Had a horrible stomach ache right after I ate their food. And it lasted a whole day.. The food tastes good and is not very spicy but I not worth the pain.

I really like the food from here I think it’s the best Chinese around delivery is super fast only complaint is the chips are a bit hard but taste ok xx

Chow mein is the best The bet in town Sweet curry sauce

Asked for beef curry and fried rice, got curry sauce n boiled rice, avoid at all costs

Use to love this Chinese when I lived close by, decided to visit when driving by on the way home and was shocked at the massive hike in prices. Even after the huge rise in prices the quality seemed to have fell aswell, what was once my favourite Chinese in the area is now one to avoid, such a shame.

Normally always eat here but recently it’s gone down hill !! The chips for my kids were dry and hard I had bin them

Usually always order here and most times it's spot on. However I ordered the duck pancakes and the cucumber was slimy and full of black mould. Will never order from here again.

Food was terrible and will not be going back.

Dozen onion rings. Fried rice was boiled. Chips and curry had a spoonful of curry. In my opinion don’t bother

Asked for noodles chips and curry sent rice chips and curry when I rang the shop the worker was very rude claiming it was her I spoke to and that's what I ordered when I spoke to a man when ordering and wouldn't order rice when I don't eat it problem was not solved so won't order again very rude staff!!! Ended up cooking my own food waste of time and money.

The food was mind blowing. They added extras, which was surprising. The food took me to a different level. Everything cooked to perfection

Avoid avoid!!!! the food was inedible nearly broke my tooth on the salt and pepper chicken not because it was crispy but because it was over cooked spring rolls wer off had white chalky substance on the ends curry was like mousse no flavour and solid not liquid. chow mein had no flavour very disappointed won't ever eat here again £26 down the drain avoid at all cost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always good food although the dishes could do with more sauce in them

Awful come with in 5 min of ordering fried rice dry very bland no taste noodle dry as bone salt & pepper chicken rock hard not a bit if taste rotton

Never had an issue with any dish, every single one of them have been amazing. Been using them for around 6 years now

Best Chinese in Middlesbrough!...I live next to Stuart's Park and have a local Chinese on Marton road which was terrible, service was bad and prices were unreasonable...so I searched for other Chinese take away and found Flower Drum by a chance, when was shopping in Lidl. First of all I want to praise a woman who is taking orders....never met such a nice and helpful Lady....ordered food and it was beautiful!!! Then decided to order delivery....and it was only £2 considering I live miles away! Try it and you will never go to somewhere else!

Great meals from there and quick service. I really loved the chow mein and BBQ spare ribs.

Didn't receive full order missing the fried rice called them straight away after waiting 15 minutes to get through. Still waiting 20 minutes later won't be using them again. Disappointed

Not bad , house special chop suey not very big portion, rang bk to see were it was bcoz told within an hour , looked out side saw 2 people outside in car. For a few minutes wasent sure if it was delivery but it was, then they come to my door , y they were sat there bfor knocking I'm not sure

They where spot on at one point must of changed chef and supplier everthings changed found.bones meat full of fat and sauces all tast sad

Absolutely disgusting 🤢 I usually order from these quite regularly, but it's gone really downhill lately. I got a special curry the pork was all fat no meat whatsoever the prawns tasted off also. I phoned up they never offered a refund or even apologised!!

Ordered beef chowmein. They sent a beef chop seuy. Rang to ask them to send correct order out. To be told apparently that is a beef chowmein ive recieved. Photo attached Looks like a chop seuy to me. Terrible customer service

No word of a lie “flower drum” yous have my new record ordered food at 9 it came at 11 when yous closed. 😂 Tried ringing yous but apparently yous enjoy your ring tone too much And if it’s not just Bieber as your ring tone I’m never ordering from yous again!

My rice was all stuck together and clumped all gluey, the chow main gave me bad stomach . Just not nice at all.

Absolute disgusting will never order again the curry sauce was like a bag of sugar bollied chicken and not very nice didn't enjoy one bit at all 0stars from me

Chicken balls are wicked from here and the curry sauce.

Made an order for chicken balled and barbecue sauce times 3 and 1 sweet and sower got the wrong order and got home disappointed they ruined my everting never going again

Will not be ordering from here again . The food was hot but burnt and that over cooked you couldn’t tell if there was meat in the meal. The chicken noodle soup was like gloop I’ve never eaten such bad food and what makes it worst I paid for the experience . Never ever again

I cannot personally rate the food considering they didn't bother to send me any. 1 star for disgusting customer service, the Chinese lady I spoke to was extremely rude and kept saying she was too busy, she interrupted me multiple times and then said "fine you don't want it I'll just cancel your order" - after over one hour they hadn't even PREPARED my meal, although they said it would be delivered within 45 minutes. First time ordering from here and definitely my last.

The best Chinese food in Middlesbrough hands down, cooked and served properly and food is proper not cheap
